Niger Republic has banned the exportation of rice to Nigeria following the closure of Nigeria’s borders.

Since August 20, 2019, Nigeria has closed its borders in four geopolitical zones across the country, which include South-South, South-West, North-Central and North-West.

In his address during a joint press briefing in Abuja on Monday, the Comptroller-General, Nigerian Customs Service, Hameed Ali, revealed that Niger Republic recently banned the export of rice to Nigeria as a result of the closure.

He said, “The government, through diplomatic channels will continue to engage our neighbours to agree to comply with ECOWAS Protocol on Transit.

“Goods that are on the prohibition list in Nigeria, such as rice, used clothing, poultry products and vegetable oil should not be exported to the country.

“As a result of this closure, Niger Republic has already circulated an order banning exportation of rice in any form to Nigeria.”

Hopefully Benin Republic is expected to do same as Nigerian farmers now smile to the bank with sales of local rice on the increase and beans with garri farmers smiling along with their tomatoes counterparts

In the view of Kanye West's much awaited new album 'Jesus is King' and his regular Kanye Sunday services he hosts lately.

It is reported that the Award winning rapper and husband to the Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is ditching secular music for good as he is set to start doing Gospel music from now on.

This is coming from Andrew Barber, the owner of music media company Fake Shore Drive. He made this known on his Twitter where he twitted " Kanye also announced that he is no longer doing secular music. Only Gospel from here on out'.

His album 'Jesus is King' which dropped on September 29 came with an accompany film titled 'Jesus is King: A Kanye West Experience' set to drop on 25th October on IMAX.

Recall that top notched rapper, Nicki Minaj said that Kanye West told her that he is now a born again.

A Detroit woman is lucky to be alive after she was shot 11 times by her wife during an argument about infidelity in their marriage.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, Airrion Wallace confronted her wife of 12 years after discovering she committed adultery and told her that they needed to file for divorce. During their argument, Wallace threatened to bring another woman into their home so her wife could understand how it feels to be cheated on.

Wallace’s wife shot her in the vagina four times, four times in the leg, and three times in the stomach.

Airrion was in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery and two blood transfusions.

Narrating what happened, Wallace said: "I was telling her that we needed to get a divorce. Because I can handle a lot of things but I can’t handle infidelity. You made me uncomfortable at home, don’t be surprised if I have another female in here. I don’t know why I said that, and she said ‘You want to play with me?’ And looked at me and pulled out a gun.”

She added that she begged during the shooting, saying: "I'm like OK. OK, I hear you, I'm not going to do it". And she kept going."

She said she remaned conscious after the shooting and found a way to flee from her home.

"I had to gather as much strength as I could, to get down my stairs and get outside. As soon as I opened the door there were people out there. I said please call the police.”

Wallace’s wife was arrested and she told police she acted in self-defense.

She said: "She wanted me to die because she always felt if she can’t have me, no one could have me."

The wife has not been formally charged.
