Business / Re: Is It Necessary To Have Nafdac Reg No On My New Product by Sayvabs: 9:34am On Mar 06, 2015
Yes, you need it. But you can start without it. Just go to their nearest office not thru thirty party. That's my business too.
Business / Re: N3,000 Start Up Capital For A Unique Liquid Toilet Wash Production Line by Sayvabs: 12:43am On Nov 08, 2014
@strongbest. Thanks for the matured response.
I still main my comment that 3000 naira cannot be a start up capital for toilet production line! By the time you sum up the cost of raw material, equipment, packaging, transport, marketing and so on. That amount can't go anywhere. And you are talking about production line! Maybe you are getting my point. I'm not discrediting your formula but the business aspect of it is not a complete info.
Business / Re: N3,000 Start Up Capital For A Unique Liquid Toilet Wash Production Line by Sayvabs: 11:04pm On Nov 07, 2014
Hello Strongbest. I must commend you for sharing your business info.
I must also caution you and interested people that you are selling half truth to them. I'm into detergent production. There is no way 3000 Naira can set up toilet soap production not even for personal use. This is a blatant lie!!!! That amount CANNOT buy 1L acid thickener alone!!! Unless you are producing concoction called toilet cleaner!
If you are interested in toilet soap just google "toilet wash ingredient". I can assure you that two-third of info you need is online. If you need technical advice email me.

Thank you.

Business / Re: Are You An Entrepreneur Or A Businessman? by Sayvabs: 9:03pm On Oct 30, 2014
Nice one. A businessman sees opportunity and invest in it. If the business is good he takes the profit. If the business turns bad he sells what's remaining and looks for another venture. But an enterpreneur is persevere. He's determined and possess problem solving ability. An enterpreneur is a businessman but not all businessmen can be regarded as an enterpreneur. Thank you.

Hello Chioma, people have made encouraging remarks and I want to join them in saying keep on pushing. Since you are doing what you love to do. Something that taps into your energy, that taps into your passion, you will succeed. I have faced many hurdles in my business too. For instance I've thrown away more than 2500liters of liquid soap because of wrong formulation! But I didn't quit. I'm still in d business. But things are better now even though I'm not there yet. So don't quit.

Business / Re: Soap-making Business In Nigeria by Sayvabs: 2:22pm On Oct 16, 2014
@seyikares What are your ingredients? What do you used in mixing them, do you have a mixer? What's your thickener(hydrotrope)? Thickener helps to solubilize all other ingredients and hold them in solution, it also act as anti-redepositing agent.
Business / Re: Two Many Fraudsters In 9jà Banking Sector by Sayvabs: 2:39pm On Oct 13, 2014
Sure. I think need serious follow up with your bank. Your money is just in one account. You see most bank workers are overwhelmed with work. Just follow up.
Business / Re: Two Many Fraudsters In 9jà Banking Sector by Sayvabs: 1:09pm On Oct 13, 2014
@derricks333 sorry for ur pain. What happened to you is called Cash Dispense Error. Sometimes due to mechanical or network issue ur account is debited but cash not given. If ur card is verve card, it's being control by Interswitch. They have a platform called arbital that where you see such transactions (banker have access to it). The ATM records everything that take place on it. The moment you slot in ur card and any other that takes place is been captured. There is a journal that the bankers have access to, it record every thing. For instance like in your case it will be recorded "cash not taken". This record can be access online or from the printed journal. Haven log your claim in your bank, the responsibility of the officer in charge is to verify your claim. The last 4 digit of your card will be captured on the journal and every other thing that you did or happened while your card is inside the machine. If you used other bank's ATM, your bank (haven logged a claim with them) will send their customer claim to the bank (where the transaction took place) on arbital and using the date and the last 4digit of your card the claim can be verified and your money reverse back into your account. NOBODY can have access to that money. It is not a physical cash. There is an account that is debit or credit as the case may be. The money will just be there until there a proof to claim it!

In this case my thinking is that somebody is not doing his/her job well.
Hope this exposé something you don't know before.

Thank you.

Business / Re: Soap-making Business In Nigeria by Sayvabs: 9:38pm On Oct 10, 2014
Hi everyone,
I am into soap production as well and a NL for many yrs.
I have some secret to reveal to you about soap formular and people who claim they can help you with d know-how on soap making. Especially people who claim N3000-N20000 start up capital will make you reap return from soap business.
1. Small capital can only make soap for home use and perhaps friends.
2. Many of the formular I have come across over the yrs on NL are terrible ones. I can't understand why sulphuric acid is used in liquid soap! All you need is surfactants. Or using formalin as preservatives when there is kanthon, triclosan, soibact, tricarbanide and so on.
3. Soap making is a science and an art, so you have to learn it. For instance take a look at this formulary:
LABSA 6% (for detergency and pry surfactant )
Soda Ash (neutralizer)
SLES 4% (co-surfactant )
Coco Betaine (secondary surfactant )
Amine Oxide ( foam booster)
SLES 4% means what? You have to check the Active Surfactant Matter % as contained in chemical info from the manufacturer. It can be 25% or 70%. If its 70% then 4/70*100= 5.7kg of SLES in 100L liquid soap.
This is just one of the secret in making liquid soap that can match the ones from these big and multinational companies.
SLES/Betaine system gives you d viscosity and perhaps addition of salts. No need for thickener!

I know my formular is not the best. But you hardly get this kind of formular from people parading themselves as entrepreneur asking people to call or pay to get formular

If you can read this post you have at least half of what it takes to research for your self formular that is abreast the latest developments in soap making.

Thank you.

Business / Re: Anybody With Good Link How I Can Get Nafdac For My Product by Sayvabs: 12:07pm On Oct 09, 2014
My advice is that just go to Nafdac office in Ibadan and tell them your intention to register a product. They will guide you on the processes. It is better you go directly to them. I know of someone who go thru 3rd party, paid 400k and never got any number!
Business / Re: 9 Natural Qualities That Make Igbos Business Minded by Sayvabs: 7:27am On Oct 05, 2014
Agreed. But they are also materialistic, have this insatiable love money and wealth. Many engaged in questionable businesses like selling fake things as original. Business / Re: Soap Making As A Highly Profitable Business by Sayvabs: 9:57pm On Sep 28, 2014
I equally agreed that soap business is a good one. I'm into it myself. But it's not a business for N3,000 investor. We have big and multinational companies that into soap production. They have already set brand and standard. And customer know what they want. My advice is that anybody that's interested should start small but know that soap business is not for N3,000 investor. People saying ' it's highly lucrative' business are only tell you what you want to hear.
