You can meet your bank to register it for you. They will just charge you addtional 2k.

Or meet an agent to do it for u, name search takes up to 2weeks before it will be out, if after two weeks the name is not available , it will take another 2weeks for re-searching it.

Well @ Scantee , as for availability of marine equipments I have them at Marine Base jetty , abuloma , Warri and ikoyi Lagos jetty , all I need nah jobs to fix any of these Marine equipments to commence work , gaskia , As for Practising of QA/QC no Wahala brother.

Well u visted the right place, now lets do it this way next you go there ask of where they are submiting service entry and collecting payment reciept, meet any of the security/assistant guys there talk to him/her personal, your likely to buy him recharge card, believe me he will help you runs the submission immidiately.

What's your IT company website? So i can peruse. Also, i think am getting interested in branching into Oil and Gas....integrating IT services into Oil and Gas operations like 3D and 4D modelling and rendering, nanotechnology application on anti-corrosive stuff, bio-hazard detector wristband production and supply, etc. I have even read about Optogan light emitting diode lamps which makes it possible for power consumption by light equipment to be reduced to 34 percent. There are so many things to be achieved in IT here in Nigeria.

We are more of maintenance, networking, fiber submarine cable connections, vpn, isp, cctv, security gadgets installations, professional training, SAP, CCNA.MSCE ORACLE.PMP.PRINCE2. Web development etc.

Though my IT company is in Lagos not in PH here.

For those who dont understand the bolded, it means that you should have equipments listed in your profile as your own. If you dont have a bulldozer for example and you are bidding for a job that requires one, Shell may not give you the job because it means you have to hire a bulldozer to do the job and that is more expenses or payment from them. So even if you nor get, talk say you get but make sure you have where to go and hire from in a moments notice.

Note this: shell comes for inspections of office and eqiupments own by your company after registration, so before submiting any profile containing equipments own by you make sure they will all be available or at most hire them just for that day of inspection.

Secondary make sure in your profile that you listed all the equipments owns by your company even the ones you dont have but must be needed in the type of contract you will be needing from shell.

Reason.they believe contractors with hiring materials and equipments tend to tender a bid at high cost due to expenses they incured hiring the equipments. So they dont fancy giving them better contracts.

Make sure your company practices QA/QC because such things can hinder you from registering with them.

As for those requesting for a @scantee's company documents.....hmmm make una nor put am for trouble oh. Company documents are confidential and distributing it especially to strangers can cost him his job. When i resigned from where i was working, i later visited them sometime later and documents i would casually pick up and browse through before, i was not allowed to touch them on the grounds that i am no longer a staff. So, if you need a company profile, ask a professional to write one for you. There are so many people out there who can help you, rather than putting someone in trouble.

Anyway, please if you have your own networking strategies please you can share here for us to learn too.

Bro your type of work is hot cake in Nlng here in ph, they give out such jobs often, all you need is to do is register at nlng suppliers portal.

Why i am recomending nlng for you to start with is because is you have 80% chance of securing a contracts after applying especially as your in PH.

How to go about it? Note your registration cant be completed without providing all the docs required because the site will not allow you to proceed to next page without completing/providing all the docs in the first page.

Make sure your company is registered to do business in Nigeria nation wide.

Since your in ph if you can be able to get letter of recomendation from any community king/chief believe me you stand a better chance than others.

The required docs are:



1 Corporate Affairs Commission Schedule of Directors form (C07), and Statement of Allotment of Shares form (C02)

2.Current Tax Clearance Certificate

3 Certificate of Incorporation / Registration of Business Name

4 Memorandum and Articles of Association (Not Must)

5 Organizational Chart (with names and responsibilities of staff)

6 VAT Registration Certificate

7 Directors Signatures/Mandate

8 Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Policies and Procedures

9 Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Policies and Procedures

10 A Reference Letter from the company's bank, reflecting Account name, NUBAN account number and Sort Code

11 Employees' Compensation Certificate or evidence of payment of Employees' Liability with Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF

12 Copy of agreement with original equipment manufacturers/technical partners. (Not Must)

If you have all these docs your good to go.

Though you can start the registration while getting the other documents, just be saving it while your registering, dont submit yet.

Kudos for opening this thread and I want to say it's well timed for some of us.

I would like to also support what @scantee said, concerning documentation as most of them are for those already established contractors who want to bid for those bigger jobs and not for freshers.
However, I notice that you made some specifics that a fresher would need and the importance of starting small (Enterprise Level).....Nice one.

I work for an Oil & Gas servicing company in the their bidding dept and have experience in bid preparation from pre-qualification through to Commercial. Also familiar with all of those documentations you mentioned.

I and my colleague we wanna do what @Scantee is already into (set up our own personal) and we would like to draw loads of suggestions from you guys about company registration. Scantee, I sent you nairaland email message................Am also Port Harcourt base..........
