They will learn soonest. bily: To be honest, apart from car enthusiasts and mechanics, most people don't feel a major difference in driving different brand of cars in the same category.
What is really important is for you to have the means to maintain your car appropriately, have a good/honest mechanic and good aspect where Toyota wins is it's resale value simply because of high demand.
The Toyota of the same category in our use has visited the mechanic/spent more money than the ford vehicle despite all advice against buying the ford. .
A lot also depends on the driver driving pattern |

Are you incinuating that all listed by you below are irreparable? If you use a car very well don't you think you should expect some maintenance. Have you ever been disturbed by the annoying sound on the almighty Toyota legs. Sound on the leg might seem too small to you though, but that just explain just one simple fact about engineering. All are work in progress if not, we wont be having year models . Here today rubbish tomorrow. Peugeot was detested among other things for its door handle that breaks off easily like mannequin's hand. Another thing people fail to realize is that Toyota is actually not cheap to maintain. Let me proof it for you. Everything about Toyota revolves around its fuel consumption. 1. The only thing cheap about Toyota is fuel consumption. 2. Toyota is selling way above the price it should be selling in the market. Reason? Fuel Economy, Uber, Taxify infact e-hailing business. 3. The more we continue to buy Toyota brand, the more we will spend money on fake parts. Reason? Check "Law of Demand" 4. You will always spend more on leg parts coz it's not rugged for bad and flooded roads which you and I cannot avoid when picking and dropping riders. Talking about flooded road, I entered a big river on Agungi road last month. I was practically begging my car not to die and promise to give it a bottle of wine if it survived. that's story for another day. In a nutshell, you can't have it all in engineering (Car Models) just don't follow the crowd. Do your research very well then make a personal decision. Don't listen to biased minds they won't help your situation. kingreign: When last did your timing belt snapped? When last did your car had that misfire and when did it leak oil from the seals? When did the BSI lock you out last?
Better talk true. |

My assignment for you is to go to Niger state and Abuja. Come back and tell me if your statement highlighted in bold is correct. I guess we need to broaden our horizon or knowledge on any subject, then get the fact before concluding. Someone may forgive you for misleading them or giving wrong info, but you may find it difficult forgiving yourself on the same issue. Google is always your friend whenever you feel too ashamed to ask someone around you. entparrot: As if romeo3 has money, don't forget romeo3 is on 55k per week hire purchase deal.
Don't let this people deceive u into buying 407, Peugeot has been faced out of Nigeria by Toyota, you only find few mechanics that deal with Peugeot, and what is the reselling value, incase you are done with Uber or taxify. |

I don't know much about 407. But my experience Mercedes Benz has thought me that one should not right off a vehicle brand because certain version gives problem. I once promise myself never to use Benz coz of fuel consumption and pricy parts until I was convinced to buy C-Class Benz. I never regretted buying that C-Class. While many people think I'm suffering myself I just smile and tell them they should buy one and thank me later. Rugged and responsive car. ogunvic41: Sir, u don't ANYTHING about Peugeot. I personally will not give myself any headache on that comfort package. Comfort wait time will have no "elastic limit" xana101: Who can explain more about this Taxify new comfort ride. What most people want is car to take them from point A to point B. So if they have option to choose from comfort or taxify, I think they will choose taxify, then the waiting time for those with cars from 2007 upward will be longer. |

Bros forget that "Comfort" package. Uber initially has something similar called "Uber Black" until they scrapped it due low patronage. "35k on taxify with 2k fuel" kwa! Madam, please fear God now. This zobo is too sugary for man consumption. entparrot: Stop trying to cheat car owners, 40k should be the least car owners should get.
If you drive 10 - 12hours for 6days, you will make minimum of 60-70k minus fuel money. So drivers are taking home 20-30k minimum weekly, after paying 40k weekly rental.
I have driven Uber and taxify, only weekends money is enough to cover ur car rental.
Last week Saturday my driver made 35k on taxify with 2k fuel.
The more you are trying to cheat car owners, the more you will discourage new investors, the more drivers will be jobless. |

iboboyswag: Please who has experienced this while trying to go online " your partner account has not been activated ". What may be the possible challenge? The vehicle was newly listed on uber, the driver status is active on his profile. That simply means you are on Uber Driver Pool List and not on Uber Partner List. To correct that simply follow the steps below. 1. visit t.uber.com/changessa 2. Choose your Location once the page loads. Example "Lagos" 3. Next, Select third bullet option that says "I ALREADY have a car on-boarded and I am becoming my own partner. DO NOT select this option if you do not own a car." 4. Next choose the reason as "Account transfer" 5. Click "Next" 6. Read and agree with the terms and condition by clicking "Next" again. 7. Then carefully fill the Driver details (i.e Phone Number and E-mail Address) as requested in the next window. 8. Click "Next" once you are sure of the correct details has been entered. 9. Click "Submit" to finish your request. Note: Review step 6 very well to determine your waiting period. It ranges between 48hrs and 5days before your PARTNER account will be activated. |

OAKSFIVEFARMS: Hello all, I'm back! It's been a while, i know. Please pardon my absence. I had to take out some time to carry out some research on Uber, so i could have more content to bring to you . I hope you are doing great. So I went into the field, into the trenches to bring you what's really happening under the hood at Uber. I became a driver, for the second time. And I must say, my experiences were awesome. So was the money I made. So something amazing has just happened at Uber, and I want to be the first to bring it to you. Please keep in mind that you heard it here first. *Drumroll please* Uber now accepts 2004 cars on the platform!!! So now all of us who have nice neat 2004 vehicles but could not participate in Uber due to vehicle age restriction are suddenly eligible. The gates have been thrown wide open. This means the threshold for investing in Uber has been dropped, hitherto, to buy a 2006 vehicle was about 2 million. At an average profit of 100,000 a month, you would need to do 20 months on Uber before you could at least break even. Now, with the introduction of 2004 vehicles on Uber, the investing threshold has been reduced to about 1.5 million, which means at an average profit of 100,000 a month, you could break even in 15 months. And of course the car is still yours to sell or to keep after the investment period is over. As it stands, a lot of people own 2004 vehicles already, without having to invest up to 10,000, these people can get on Uber making profits of up to 100,000 a month. Now is the time to get on Uber, what are you waiting for, the more you wait, the less the profit margins get as more potential partners start to hear of this piece of fantastic news. Our job is to make you earn more on Uber, in fact you making more on Uber is the basis of our business model. that's the only way we can earn more too.
Call us now!!!

JuveFarms: @Schiphol, thank God we are able to give information freely on this thread. Someday hopefully you will also advise +vely about catfishing farming. You asking were to start from?, Sharing the bottles & extras wont be a bad starting point. Cheers Oga JuveFarms thanks for your comment. Yes, I anxiously look forward to that time when I will definitely impact +vely on others about catfish farming. As for the bottles, I surely will keep to my promise in as much as we meet by God's grace. I'm still scouting for land close to me in order to start fish farming. Coz my crop plantation farm is a bit far from my home and I do not want to take chances with fish farming in entrusting it to someone for a start. Have a blissful day. |

Greetings to all! I am mostly impressed by this thread and especially the SANITY in different expressions as well as freedom of speech. I stand to be corrected though, but I say these are best and most matured set of people I've seen so far on Nairaland. I've always been into farming most times of my life but mainly crops and a bit of poultry but not into fisheries except my Brother and Father-inlaw. My interest for fish farming of recent when I visited their farms moved me to do extensive research on the risks of fish farming and the possibility of venturing into it. Hence, I stumbled on this thread and have been glued to it for the past two weeks. You may wonder what I've been doing for the past two weeks? I call it INDUCTION . You may choose to call it any other name but I called it INDUCTION because I've been reading from page one until this page 147. Loads of information tucked inside each and every page. Having completed my INDUCTION here I think every contributors to this thread deserves a bottle each. An extra bottle for the Gurus (you know yourself) . Pardon me if I don't mention specific names for now in showing appreciation. It's just based on two reasons (1.) Each and every contributors here are Unique in their own way. (2.) Your rewards can only come from God for all this good work. I can Confidently say that I've gotten 70% of what is required to start fish farming (Which is basic info). The remaining 30% now lies with Location, Capital/Funding, Time and Consultation. Come to think of it, I have all of you as Consultant so why do I need one again? I'll stop for now. I hope to visit every contributors farm within Lagos and Ibadan soonest. I will expand to other areas God's willing. So where do I start from? Thank you all once again and stay blessed. |
