What concern driver partner with their "blocking the rider"? Isn't that a dumb way of shifting the goal post? You are being told during training that you should not drag with any rider who refuse to pay you. That you should report to taxify by doing a review on the trip and you will be refunded immediately. So who cares about how they get back their money? Once you've fulfilled your obligation of reporting, Taxify should clean the s**t. The most annoying part is if you by any mistake forgot to review before you end the trip, you hear stupid reply that you did not review the trip so they cannot do anything. I still mantain my position that someone need to sue Taxify to court. shollywendy1: They are mother fucker....I took a rider to and fro dolphin estate- national theater iganmu during d fuel crisis December...she left her nokia 6 Android fone in my car...I returned it to her..after dropping her she said she was short of cash, dat she ll do a transfer...till now,I hv not seen my money. I reported to taxify, dey didn't reply until after February dat dey hv blocked d woman..now where is my moñey.?...imagine,d woman was alhaj's ooo...cover all her head |

Exactly the point. alstarmayo: No it's not, Taxify is sh*t. you do a fare review and they add a dummy cash trip to your dashboard and still charge Commission on it, only do review on card trips, check estimate to know how much you'll collect from a rider in case of failed trip |

You must have reviewed a trip few days ago. What you see shows that they are done with the review. But the big question is, do they really add anything to the fare or do they return the same amount you complained about? Does it really worth it reviewing fare with Ta**fy? JABB: I did not recieve any request this morning but on my account its showing N1300 this morning.Anyone experience this b4? |

E-hailing in Nigeria is the most confused kind of business. Standards decrease everyday rather than improve. Even if you onboard year 2014 car on Uber in 2015, you still make your money very well. But it's different ball game today. I tell you that if you know what you know now then, you will still make the same decision as you doing now. Example, the least year accepted on e-hailing at the moment is 2000. But you are offering 2005 and above. Why? Why not 2001 or at most 2003 Why Kia and Hyundai products and not Mazda, Volvo e.t.c My point is, whichever way you look at it now, is exactly the way you did back then. You may argue that you are not buying brand new cars at the moment. But buying 2007, 2008 and above car when the entry level is 2000 is "Luxury" IMHO. Carshopper: If I had known den what I know now, e-hailing bizness will b sweet.
If I had known then to forgo luxury over effectiveness, low cost and increase acceptability, the grumbling will be less.
Uber arrived nigeria with option of putting ur vehicle on the road and u earn money.
If I had known, I would have just done my kia rio jejely those periods. Naira / dollar was low, so landing cost would b good.
But I took luxury into consideration and look where it found me, more grumbling about this and that.
There is the luxury side to transportation, high end Cars, high earning income and low maintenance /repairs. But I will sit down for the next few days waiting for the next new phase.
E-hailing isn't about luxury - simple put e-hailing /ride-sharing is about providing the commodity to as many as possible at the cheapest fare rate one can achieve.
When any market gets flooded with different competition, the one factor to dance around with is PRICE.
It is left to you to decide what tool is best for that PRICE available.
Will you bring a 2014 Toyota camry now to the table to hussle within available PRICE?
If you had known back then and had more knowledge, you would have spent PRICE for a 2014 Toyota camry on 3-4 PRICE for a 2007 kia rio (luxury vs low cost) while trying to achieve same goal INCOME/EARNINGS.

The car is very rugged. Ensure to fix any issue on it before onboarding it on e-hailing. Note: if yours is less than 2003, it can only be used on Uber. Taxify year requirement is 2003 and above. Bhorbymills1990: Thanks bro ... Its c230 with the kompressor badge |

You can't go wrong with C-Class Benz. My advice is that it should not be 4matic and obviously not the v6. Very rugged, axle drive with very balance strut unlike all this front-wheel that gives problem here and there. And yes talking from personal experience as C-Class user. Yes you can change your bank information. From your Driver App, click on "Account". Next click on "Payment" from the next window. Then click "Bank Account" you can then fill in your bank details. Note you will need your bank "Swift Code" and your own "Tax ID" in order to complete these stage. Enyinne: Have anyone receive this message from uber and also i have a newly registered company name that is registered solely for my transaction with uber , is it possible to change my bank information without it affecting my payment. Pls enlighten me on this .

Download "Fuelio" from Google Play Store. Record every fuel purchase and your odometer at every fill-up or fuel purchase. The app will automatically calculate your average fuel consumption from the second fill-up. You can as well enter other expenses like car wash, maintenance, servicing e.t.c Haderbayor123: Hi all, plz I need quick answer to this, my new 08 Corolla is consuming fuel and took to KY mechanic which he cleaned cabuerator and adjust the turtle but seems the consumption has reduced. Season 2 ... Featuring: Gazzuzz (Mediator ) Similar to Season 1 Oga Gazzuzz Ki lo n sele gangan kunletoks: I came across Fleet Xpert on this thread late last year and on 2nd of January 2018 I went to their office at Lekki. Ogunvic and I agreed it will cost #1,340,000 for buying and refurbishing. I gave him #1,150,000 and a Spectranet modem to buy a Peugeot 406 for me which I am to balance them #190,000 when the car starts working.
Ogunvic said the car will be ready and start working after 2 weeks(which is 16th of January, 2018). Towards 16th of January he told me he is waiting for the road worthiness before the car starts working. He kept posting me, saying the car will be ready soon.
I called Gazzuzz January ending and explained the issue to him which he called Ogunvic and Romeo3 to resolve the issue.
On 4th of Feb, 2018 I met with Romeo3 he showed me a Peugeot 406 which does not worth beyond #500,000 and he proposed that from the #190,000 balance they will remove #50,000 for every week they have defaulted in providing the car and before 2 to 3 weeks the car will be ready.
It's 20 days since I meet with Romeo3 and they haven't provided the car.
Ogunvic has put off his phone and whenever his phone is ON, he rejects my calls.
All I want now is my money back as part of the money I gave them was from a facility I got which I have started the repayment since January ending. |

Do you really meant the bold statement? GAZZUZZ: was it serviced by a parrot?
Was it inspected before purchase by a parrot?
vehicle selection is a job on its own.
FLEET XPERTZ once paid me to diagnose a vehicle before they accepted it, car was looking Sharp and engine sounded nice. In my report I stated that engine was bad and driver should not be driven above 100km/hr.
Next day engine knocked.
there is nothing spiritual about selecting a sound vehicle, it is a skill. |

First, welcome to the hustling land. The problem is not the 40k you will be remitting, but rather the problem is in two fold. 1. You are a newb on Uber. 2. The car is Camry (Muzzle)First, as a newby, you need to learn about positioning, profitable time to work, time to rest, riders issue, how rating works, professionalism, area to park and vice-versa, Lagos Traffic Police/LASTMA at Traffic Light e.t.c All those are the challenges every newby face for the first few weeks on the job so you must be highly prepared. Secondly, you need have good knowledge of the type of car you will be driving, i.e brief history of the car and it's performance, fuel consumption, Heating and Cooling System, the struts and the Transmission System among others. If the two above are done and dusted, then your personality and attitude to work is the remaining deciding factor in you being able to remitting 40k weekly. If you negotiate the price down to 20k weekly and the above problem is still there, you will still fail your weekly remittance. That does not mean that you should not negotiate down from 40k at the moment. Note: XX years driving experience is never the same as "Ubering". Every business has it's learning curve. Also Ehailing business is not a get rich quick scheme. Bankyzone247: Good evening house. I must sincerely commend every member of this group most especially, those who have honestly shared their experiences & opinions here. Please I'll need your honest advice. I just registered with uber & the car I'll be driving is Camry 08(muzzle) with weekly payment of 40k. Please is this OK? And if not, how much can U advise me to take it that I'll still be making my own money as a driver? Thanks. Waiting for your prompt & honest advice. |

If you want to know if your compressor is weak, "Weak Compressor" will only cool very well when you are on high speed or you rave the engine either morning, evening, sunny and rain. Once you are in traffic or slow down, the pumping pressure of the A/C reduce. thebigkendo: First of all Sorry to disappoint you, am not a mechanic.
AC chills in the morning and evening and not chilling hot afternoon can be caused by 1. Clogged/faulty condenser 2. Weak compressor 3. Shortage of gas: Ideally AC system is a closed system, gas should not short except the system has a leak.. Topping up of the gas will just be a waste of money because it will still leak out and he will be back to square 1..
NB. Clugged filter will not stop AC from cooling on hots days or when car is stationary, it will reduce the overall AC efficiency be it morning afternoon or night. With the symptoms he stated my bet is on either NO 1 and/or 2 And it is not advisable to top up gas, It could actually cause more problems in the AC system. |
