I LOVE this story its so Good
PLS READ: A man had only one daughter.
When the daughter was of marriage age,
the father sent news around town that all the eligible
young
men should come to compete in a test which would
determine who was fit to marry his daughter.
On the set day, all the able-bodied young men came
out.
Some came with paper and pen and others with
cutlasses
and swords.
The rich man took them to his swimming pool
and addressed the men: “Any of you who can swim
from
one end of this swimming pool to the other would
marry my
daughter.
In addition, I‘ll give him 15 million naira, a car and a
house
so they can start life well.
I shall be waiting
to meet my son-in-law at the other side.
Goodluck!”
As the young men, all very excited at the
prospect of winning, started taking off their shirts,a
helicopter came over the pool and dropped snakes
and
crocodiles into the pool.
Immediately, all the men turned back and
started wearing their
shirts again.
Disappointed, some
of them said, ''That's crazy, no one will'.
All of a sudden, they heard a splash in
the pool.
Everybody watched in
amazement as one
gentleman struggled his way across, avoiding the
snakes
and crocodiles.
Finally, he made it to the other side. The rich man
could not
believe it.
He asked the young man to name anything he
wanted but
the man was still
panting uncontrollably.
Finally, he got himself together and made a
request saying, ''SHOW ME THE PERSON WHO
PUSHED ME INSIDE THIS POOL!''
Moral: You don’t know what you are capable of
doing, until
you are
PUSHED!!.
Sometimes it takes going through the bad
moments to bring out the BEST in us.
Trials are raw materials for Triumphant
Testimonies...
The push might take different dimensions: some
people
needed to be sacked before realizing their potentials
and
reaching their
goals in life.
I PRAY SOMEONE OR SOMETHING WILL PUSH Y0U
TOWARDS YOUR SUCEESS |
Many incidences have been reported around the world in past few years, when a mobile device turned into a bomb. In some cases result was turned into loss of life and some cases reported where the users are seriously injured by the device explosion. So what makes the laptops, mobile phones and other mobile devices to catch fire and explode like a bomb. The main explosive component found behind the scene is the lithium ion power pack inside the devices. Mobile phones, laptops and all other mobile devices require a power source. The battery pack inside a device energizes the device to work for long period without getting recharge early. The dominating chemistry which is capable to energize the devices for long time after a full charge is Lithium Ion chemistry. The common component among all the devices is the lithium ion energy pack inside them. These batteries are high energy density batteries which are capable to store high energy with respect to their weight. This battery is the key component which made it possible to go mobile with all devices we use. In spite having an advantage of high energy density this batteries sometime turns into a bomb. These batteries have some limitations of not tolerating overcharging and overheating. Overheating makes this batteries unstable causing them to adopt a chain reaction, termed as thermal runaway. This thermal runaway causes it to heat up more and more resulting it to catch fire. Not only it catches fire but it explodes with great intensity with device particles scattering around the area of explosion. These explosions are intense enough to severely burn the person near to it and in some cases the victims lost their lives. Nobody knows what will happen in next moment with their devices. But awareness may prevent us from facing such critical situations. We can’t live without our cell phones, laptops, tabs etc. These are the part of our life now. But we can ensure our safety while using these devices. To work safely with our devices first we have to understand why this happens and how it can be avoided. So let us understand what are the reasons behind these explosions. Lithium ion batteries are high energy density packets. These batteries consist of two electrodes one is made up of carbon and other is made up of lithium. These two electrodes are separated with a thin insulation film inside the battery. These batteries do not tolerate over charging. So to prevent the battery from over charging these batteries have a preventive circuit inside them. This circuit disconnects the input supply after battery get a full charge or slightly before the full charge state. But sometimes this preventive circuit does not work as expected causing the battery to overcharge. These batteries do not tolerate overcharging. Overcharging develops excessive heat inside the battery and trigger a chain reacting which generate more and more heat. This is termed as thermal runaway. This thermal runaway is an uncontrolled reaction which makes the battery to catch fire and explode. Similarly a damaged protective circuit short circuit the battery electrodes internally causing it to generate heat and same thermal runaway trigger an uncontrolled chain reaction causing more and more heat generation. Finally an explosion occurs. There are very few chances of damaged preventive circuit due to manufacturing defects. Millions of lithium ion batteries are manufactured every year. Manufacturers around the world many times recalled their laptops, phones, tabs etc after getting few over heating feedbacks. Most of the time consumers are responsible for such accidents. People buy cheap unauthorized batteries and chargers from the market for their devices. Manufacturer provides specifications for chargers for device batteries but most of the people never pay attention towards charger specifications. They practice battery charging with unauthorized chargers with some cheap charger extensions available in the market. This affects the battery protective circuit and sometimes damages the circuit. Battery with a damaged protective circuit performs normally but overcharging happens every time and results it to catch fire. So always buy and use specific batteries and chargers from manufacturer authorized suppliers. Lithium ion batteries sometimes exposed to heat, like placed on hot dashboard of car, near cooking stoves, in intense sunlight, near vehicle radiator while checking vehicle. Such surrounding hot conditions damage the insulating film between the electrodes and causes short-circuit of electrode inside. while using a device if you feel your battery is overheating then it should be taken to the service center for testing, and if found any defect in it, immediately change the battery pack and make test for charger as well. Below are some precautions which should be taken with the devices having a lithium ion battery pack. WHY MOBILE DEVICES CATCH FIRE AND EXPLODE August 24, 2015 SOLAR BATTERY – LITHIUM ION BATTERIES FOR SOLAR ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM August 12, 2015 SOLAR BATTERY – TYPES OF BATTERIES FOR SOLAR STORAGE SYSTEM August 6, 2015 ELECTRICAL (1) ELECTRICITY (1) FLUID MECHANICS (1) MECHANICS (1) MOBILE PHONES (1) RENEWABLE ENERGY (3) SOLAR ENERGY (3) SOLAR BATTERY – TYPES OF BATTERIES FOR SOLAR STORAGE SYSTEM August 6, 2015 SOLAR BATTERY – LITHIUM ION BATTERIES FOR SOLAR ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM August 12, 2015 THE COMPRESSIBLE FLUID ‘AIR’ April 26, 2015 Terms of Use | Privacy Policy | Copyright | Disclaimer © 2015 Science Infusion All Rights Reserved Powered by Nirvana ELECTRICAL WHY MOBILE DEVICES CATCH FIRE AND EXPLODE Never short circuit the device battery terminals with coin or any other metal part. Never press, deform, drop or make battery to undergo impact loading. If it is accidentally dropped then take it to the service center for testing and replacement. Do not charge lithium ion battery directly from a DC source. Always use the specific charger for the battery. Do not overcharge the device battery. Switch of the charger as soon as possible after getting full charge. If battery is overcharging and generating heat while charging then replace the battery and charger. Never put your devices in extreme hot surrounding temperatures. Never spill any liquid on your device battery. Use manufacturers authorized batteries and chargers for your devices. Newer buy cheap alternatives. Never try to fit other model batteries into the devices. This may change the polarity of battery and may cause a big accident. Never play with your device batteries and never give your devices and batteries to children. Never cut or try to open a lithium ion battery.

Lagos is a famous and glittering city, abundant in
natural beauty and surrounded by sea, with its
diverse culture, happy-go-lucky attitude, economic
growth, and superb accommodation, it is no
surprise that the city is Nigeria’s most dynamic
city. Lagos offers a great variety of attractions –
there’s plenty to see and do in this city, no wonder
most people prefer to live in the city.
Lagos is one place in Nigeria that has got affluence
and glamour, much more like Miami and New York
City. However, people from other Nigerian cities
believe that the glitz and glam attractively
presented about Lagos too good to be true or are
not real at all. We’ve also heard people say that no
matter how amazing Lagos is being portrayed, it is
a perilous place to live.
However, we believe a lot of things about Lagos
have been exaggerated, that is why we have
rounded up a list of 6 things about Lagos that people
from other cities exaggerate about:
1. Lagos is a land of opportunities
Lagos is indeed a land of opportunities for many
Nigeria. It is a city where a hardworking pauper
from Makoko slum turns into someone living in one
of the most expensive people in Lekki or Victoria
Island. However, do not jump the next bus to Lagos
expecting to be rich overnight if you have no plan,
house and support from friends or family because
Lagos is not as easy as it is made to be. Money
does not grow on trees in Lagos because you have
to work to earn a living. Unfortunately, jobs are
limited in Lagos.
2. The legend of Area boys
You must have heard a lot of stories about the
thugs in Lagos, who are called ‘ Area boys ’; thanks
to some Nollywood movies. These exaggerated
stories drive fear in the mind of people visiting
Lagos for the first time. Even though, these thugs
are virtually everywhere, but do not expect to be
harassed by them just like that. We are not saying
that they are harmless but it is only when you end
up at the wrong place that things may get ugly for
you. The availability of Lagos Bus Rapid Transit
System (BRT) can help you avoid the discomfort of
bus conductors in some parts of the city.
3. Lagos is ‘small London’
Lagos is filled with colourful architectures and
iconic landmarks that have this seductive charm
that perfectly blends with the wide span of clean
roads. The city is home to one of the richest and
the most impoverished areas in Nigeria. It is not
every part of Lagos that looks heavenly; some parts
such as Ajegunle, Makoko, Ijora Badia and others,
are shanty towns, sweat shops and slums. Most of
the stunning things you see on newsprints or
television about Lagos may have been edited to suit
the producers.
4. The cost of living is expensive
Lagos is an attractive destination, decorated with
affluence and luxury but it can be surprisingly
cheap. You can get things – from sophisticated to
standard, extravagance to essential, bohemian to
natural. The cost of living in Lagos may be on the
high side when compared to cities like Akure,
Ibadan or Benin. However, Lagos is not as
expensive as we are made to believe it is. The city
has been built in such a way that anyone can easily
blend in. Surprisingly, you can even do a lot of
things under N2000 in Lagos.
5. The crime rate is high
Do not be carried away with stories that everyone
in Lagos has criminal tendencies. Some people
have been warned never to ask for directions when
they are in Lagos but end up getting missing. The
crime rate in Lagos is not as high as it has been
exaggerated. Actually, security is paramount in the
city to allow crime to rule the day.
6. Traffic Jam is unbeatable
You cannot come to Lagos and miss traffic (‘go-
slows’). We know that almost every motorway is
often jammed with absurd traffic hams and speed
freaks. It is not true that you are going to spend half
of your day stuck in traffic if you do not leave your
house early in the morning. The menace of traffic is
gradually losing its grip, thanks to BRT lane and the
train service that have made it easier for people to
escape the Lagos traffic. Traffic is not as horrible
as it has been painted in Lagos; all you need to do
is know your route and how to move around.

Lagos? Share with us in the comment below: |
Eating in moderation, drinking a glass of good wine
every day and avoiding chasing women are the
secrets of a long life, Belgians Pieter and Paulus
Langerock, the world’s oldest living twin brothers,
say.
Born on July 8 1913, the brothers have lived
together for most of their lives and until this day
barely leave each other’s side, sharing a room at
their nursing home just outside the Belgian town of
Ghent.
After their long careers as court magistrates in the
middle of the 20th century, the besuited 102-year-
olds prefer speaking French and being addressed
as “Pierre and Paul.”
Both enjoy a glass of wine every day. “Get us a
Bordeaux, but a good quality one,” Paulus tells his
nurse at the Ter Venne retirement home into which
they moved three years ago, only then giving up
their own house.
Neither of them married, disapproving of each
other’s choice of potential life partner over the
years.
“Yes, Paulus is my best friend. We’re always
together,” Pieter said.
While they are the world’s oldest living twin
brothers, they have another three years to go to
break the record of U.S. brothers Glen and Dale
Moyer, both of whom reached 105.
Paulus says he does not care.
“When we were 85 we went to the doctor and he
told us: ‘Don’t think you’ll be living to 100.’ Well, I
never really wanted to be this old.” (REUTERS)

It’s called the newest “se’x superbug” and many
people will die because of it.
An antibiotic resistant strain of gonorrhea has hit
the United States and is now considered a
superbug.
Analysts say that the bacteria’s effects could be
worse than those of HIV – AIDS. “This might be a
lot worse than AIDS in the short run because the
bacteria is more aggressive and will affect more
people quickly,” said Alan Christiansen, a doctor of
naturopathic medicine.
Even though nearly 30 million people have died from
AIDS-related causes worldwide, Christensen
believes the effect of the gonorrhea bacteria is
more direct.
“Getting gonorrhea from this strain puts someone
into septic shock and death in a matter of days,”
Christiansen said. “This is very dangerous. It can
be passed through skin on skin contact, making
condoms only 30% effective.”
“It’s an emergency situation,” said William Smith,
executive director of the National Coalition of STD
Directors. “As time moves on, it’s getting more
dangerous. We are losing more lives.”
This gonorrhea strand, HO41, was discovered in
Japan two years ago in a 31-year-old female sex
worker who had been screened in 2009. The
bacteria has since been found in 41 U.S. States,
and Norway.
There have already been 5,126 reported deaths
since its discovery in 2013.
“We have to keep beating the drum on this,” said
Smith. “The potential for disaster is great.”
