I think it's about time every southerner inside and outside politics takes this restructuring very serious. The days when northern governors sits down idle without coming up with revenue generating ideas is over. I was in Niger state coupled of weeks back and I was surprised why food (agricultural products such as rice N550, beans N600, Groundnut oil, yam etc... ) are still expensive. The north is blessed with big land mass that supports varieties of agricultural products. Their governors should implement policies that will encourage them to go to farming instead of sitting idle (devoid of revenue-generating idea) at the expense of southern governors (southwest, southeast n southsouth) ceaseless effort to make money available 4 d FG. Northern govt should encourage farming using advantage of their large landmass if they don't have any ideas of what to explore to make money, at least there will be enough food for the country and for exportation (generating revenue in the process), not to talk of their abundant mineral resources such as gold, nickel (discovered in kaduna in abundance last year...we are yet to hear whats causing the delay uptil now), etc.....Restructuring is ONE of the keys for a Better Nigeria!! |

Splashme:APC folks??..Are you kidding me?. Mr man, I'm not into any party. I'm simply talking about people (saraki and ndume) I know very well regardless of the party they belong either now or in the past. |
shammah1:We all know saraki has being engaging in some anti-party activities even in the event that made him Senate president. |
i don't just understand some comments I read here anymore. I cant believe people will stand with SARAKI over this man. I don't even have problem with Dino melaye, but Saraki?. Jesus, that guy is a criminal. Pls don't stay far away east or south to draw "So much" support for this saraki of a man without asking an educated ilorin or kwara man about saraki. Infact if you don't want to ask any ilorin person, just stay in the town for few days and you will know better. Don't let the hatred for any political party betray your conscience and rationality. Ndume is a honourable person even among his people (borno..talk of his contribution to IDP camp even more than the "too-much-money" oga sheriff), not some destiny-mortgage Senate president. |
a million likes for this.

The "Afonja" tin still baffles me though....cos everytin about Afonja started and ended in Ilorin, so how it's now generally use by some people so much that they even created user-name for it just 2 mock a whole tribe still bugs me. Self-delusion of the highest order!! If you call an ilorin person "Afonja", I wudn't be surprised, he was their king..but d whole "tribe"??...its absolutely Laughable and amazing!!. |

I've always voice out the opinion of diversification because we have many other natural resources begging to be explore. Right from my Secondary school days, when ever we are told to draw the map of Nigeria and locate the position of its mineral resources, coal in enugu is even always my number one on the map, not to mention others that we've still not yet explore........but what I don't understand is why we are facing this high degree of almost unbearable hardship in the name of diversification so much that people are stealing with so much frustration and hopelessness down to the point of disppearin with hot pot of soup that is still on fire. P.S---Pls take note of this stolen vehicle below. Thanks

Many religious people are suffering indeed. It stems from what I consider to be either improper knowledge/understanding of the books or non-conscientious form of fanatism...but that doesn't make me a non-religious person. Religion isn't the problem, man is the problem, and in a very strict sense, I mean the HEART of Men. Let me take you on this, you see, human-kind is gifted with what is known as "Conscience" by its Creator (God). This gift harbors the capacity to separates "Good" from "Bad". Conscience is like a "Thinking devise" that constantly works in us, but the Problem or human weakness is something else, it's call "FEELING". Feelings as strong as it is, struggles to separates Good from Bad and it is unfortunately NOT subjected to "Thinking", unlike Conscience. These two Forces works hand-in-hand but one MUST have a final say ALL the time or virtually all the time, and that should be CONSCIENCE. Now those religious people the OP points out to be suffering are those who put FEELINGS over CONSCIENCE. When you read the holy books or you're taught with the holy book, you don't approach or apply it's teaching with "Feelings" but with "Conscience" (more like "Thoughts"). Under great emotional thrust, one is bound to make dangerous mistakes such as suicide bombings, not accepting blood transfusion, avoiding any sort of fun like playin ludo, dancing, music etc as pointed out by the OP, but with conscience you're less likely to make mistakes. Feelings can be naive because it's not subjected to reasoning, but conscience is hardly naive because of its fondness with reasoning. Conscience, to me, seem to be one of the way God approach humans. An illustration is the case of Jesus, the Adulterous woman and the Pharisees in John Chapter 8 (The Bible). It says in verse 5,...."the Pharisees said to Him, the law of Moses commanded us to stone such women (adultery)...". In verse 6, it says "....He said to them, If anyone of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her"....verse 9, "At this, those who heard it, being convicted by their CONSCIENCE, began to go away one at a time, the older ones first...". My point here is God tends to talk to us more from our conscience rather than feeling. So the OP should rather encourage religious people to apply "Conscientious" approach to what they read from the holy book or are being taught from their Holy book into their dealings rather than "Emotional" approach. But I can understand, He's an atheist, i'm NOT. |
![]() I always think I'm crazy...but dis single conscious act of me retaining my God-given image is what gives me hope that God still loves me.
