Politics / Re: Attempt To Defend Buhari’s Comments On Nigerian Youths Imbecilic — Lawyer by Scientist7: 11:52am On Apr 20, 2018
Jones4190:
President Buhari is just too blunt....

Now let's look at these established findings;

1) Do you know that over 65 million youths are illiterates in Nigeria – UNESCO, 2017

2) Nigeria also leads in the world's uneducated children - Newsweek, 2017

Nigeria has 'largest number of children out-of-school' in the world - BBC, 2017

Fact check;
You can hate Buhari, but the truth is that he stated the obvious and again, what is already known around the world. You should understand by now that PMB is not like any typical politician and because of that, he says things the way they are. He is just honest to a fault. It may not be diplomatically okay considering the environment of such communication.

Like Buhari, your view is also bigoted, go get the statistics of educated youths and compare with your figures. ASUU recently said education is underfunded under his watch as the president and he is still bold to say many youths do not go to school. Check Jambs yearly statistics of people trying to gain admission into schools before you come and defend what is indefensible

Sirjamo:
You just have to know how many Nigerian youths are either on death row or serving jail times in other people's country for peddling drugs and other criminal activities to agree with pmb. Even if he had attempted to paint us white before the world, it wouldn't have worked, they already know we are black.

Do you know that many more are working really hard in legit businesses in those countries. Baba committed a blunder, end of story.

You claimed "Atheism is a religion too" and I asked you to prove it but nothing in this reply is pertinent to the question asked

You can't see it now due to your bias. Save my post and one day you may understand and see the point

Prove it!

There is clearly a lot of dirty bath water surrounding the
reality of God. Holy wars. Inquisitions. Superstition.Dogmatism. Ignorance. Hypocrisy. Self-righteousness. Rigidity. Cruelty. Book-burning. Witch-burning. Inhibition. Fear. Conformity.Morbid guilt. Insanity. The list is almost endless. But is all this what God has done to humans or what humans have done to God? It is abundantly evident that belief in God is sometimes destructively dogmatic. Is the problem, then, that humans tend to believe in God, or is the problem that humans tend to be dogmatic? Anyone who has known a died-in-the-wool atheist will know that such an individual can be as dogmatic about unbelief as any believer can be about belief. Is it belief in God we need to get rid of, or is it dogmatism? There have been clear cases of atheists killing christians, the recent case in the US being a church mass killing. Look at the present day atheist government of china collecting from their citizenry the freedom of religion, you'll sooner than later begin to see the effects.
Another reason that scientists are so prone to throw the
baby out with the bath water is that science itself is a religion. The neophyte scientist, recently come or converted to the world view of science, can be every bit as fanatical as a Christian crusader or a soldier of Allah. This is particularly the case when we have come to science
from a culture and home in which belief in God is firmly associated with ignorance, superstition, rigidity and
hypocrisy. Then we have emotional as well as intellectual
motives to smash the idols of primitive faith. A mark of maturity in scientists, however, is their awareness that science may be as subject to dogmatism as any other religion.

That being said, some religions however are inherently problematic, especially those that promote violence, killing and forceful world domination but you don't have to generalize. Generalizing on this matter is similar to saying because one leader is found to be corrupt then every leader is corrupt.
The problem is not religion, the problem is dogmatism, fanatism, extremism and atheists and scientists are as susceptible to it as anyone else.

Kingsley10000:
China is currently the world's leading economic power, in
China there is Zero Church!
Finland has the most stable economy in the world today.
There are less than twenty churches in Finland!
Switzerland has the second most stable economy in the
world. Switzerland has fewer than thirty churches!
Denmark is the third most stable economy in the world,
there are about 23 churches in Denmark.
These countries are considered to have the highest number
of atheists, but they are blessed!
Come to Nigeria, there are more than 70,000 churches.
+25 000 churches in Lagos.
+2 500 churches in Oyo
+30000 churches in the south east
In Africa, we have more churches than schools and
hospitals combined!
More pastors than doctors.
Everyone is born again!o
Everyone is covered with the blood of Jesus!
Jesus even became the husband of all single women
(according to them) in revival churches!
Everyone is filled with the Holy Spirit!
However, none of these claims reflect the moral elevation
that is hoped for in a society.
We are among the laziest, the most deceiving, the most
corrupt, the most hypocritical, the most hateful on the planet
today, with all our Jesus and the Holy Spirit!
Our people need to distinguish between religion and
stupidity or between spirituality and tradition!.
Wake up!!!
religion is the modern day slavery holding Africans down...

Everyone has a religion sir. Before Christianity and Islam came to Africa, the natives worshiped different deities. Religion is a way of life and Atheism is a religion too. USA rose to greatness while it was largely a Christian country, it is relatively recent that many of them started becoming atheists. Religion is not Africa's problem. Africa's problem is the typical African man who is only concerned about himself and his pocket, who is highly jealous about a fellow African man's success, who is not interested in building Africa but in running away to Europe. I repeat, religion is not Africa's problem

But, have u read this in your Bible.

Hebrews 6 King James Version (KJV)

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Perhaps, there is a way u will interpret that, that is different from how i understand it.

but in that verse, Paul was reported to have said something like ‘let us go unto perfection, leaving the principles of doctrines of Christ’

If this is how the verse is interpreted, then how can be regarded as someone who proclaimed the gospel of Jesus better than those u mentioned?
I mean no insult bro but you quoted out of context. I kindly urge you to read the verses following that verse and you will understand the words of apostle Paul. God bless you

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

.Nice one Freeze...An Unbiased wisdom to answer questions on immorality regardless of beliefs..............

you'll like what he said if you're into fornicating. In my own opinion, he's just playing around with the truth. He's most likely a fornicator and that makes him biased in his analysis. FYI the bible expressly condemns fornication and it's better you stop if you're into it. That some biblical figures had concubines doesn't mean it is the right thing.

It's not always about money. some people just hate being cheated. The more cowards we have in this country the higher the rate of robbery will be but if more people can man up, these guys will think twice before going into robbery.
