Sometimes I laugh when people say we don't have access to the sea, that we are landlocked, I even saw someone who said Igboland is 16,000km2 and I was dumbfounded.

I opened this topic to educate the ignorant ones who rant all day that Igboland is small and doesn't have direct access to the sea, well the last time I calculated Igboland, it was 41,440km2 with direct access to the sea, below is a detailed map of Igboland, I urge you all to feed your ignorance with it.

Nigeria has a date with the truth, I find I appalling that the voices against seccesion are from the southwest and north who have little or no amount of oil.

they cunningly laid pipes in the Eastern oil fields to suck out crude oil and gas thereby leaving the East with less revenues, and this is the reason why they kick against the Eastern region breaking away from Nigeria so that they can keep the status quo.

I'm just pointing out that the motives for Biafra claiming those places are purely for its self interest, and there is nothing wrong with that. Every country and its peoples must pursue foremost their own self interest.

I acknowledge the hard work and resourcefulness of my Igbo brothers; and in fact am jealous of it. I understand that industry is the key to prosperity. However, to exclude natural resources from any national plan does not make sense, and since this is what any sane country would do, I include it in my list of motives for including non-"core Igbo" in the Biafra struggle.

Every part of the world has certain amounts of deposits of different resources. It makes sense that there are oil deposits in Imo and Anambra (given proximity to existing oilfield further south), but perhaps not as readily available, or as cheap, or as plentiful as other parts of the country. Besides, the rigs in the delta are already there, whereas it would take years for the ones you speak about to be fully operational. I also mentioned access to sea and arable land.

These are tactical things I would keep in mind if I was planning a new country.

Control of natural resources (oil, minerals, ores, water, etc) has been at the heart of most wars and agitations for independence, and there is nothing unique here (vis-a-vis America, Canada, China, Russia, France, etc) that can convince me that the oilfields in the Niger Delta are not a major component of Biafra's plans

"We are using Shona because Shona is now our local language. We have forgotten our original language (Hebrew )," Hamandishe said. The Lemba have also relaxed a ban on marrying outside the tribe.

While similar communities with Judaic identities exist in Africa, the Lemba have science in their corner. "I think it's fair to say that in absolutely the whole of Africa, they are unique because there are plenty of other tribes, many, many, many other tribes throughout Africa, who claim to have Israelite origins," Parfitt said.

Genetic tests carried out by British scientists have revealed that many of the Lemba tribesmen in southern Africa have Jewish origins, according to a report by the BBC.
