For those amending Maria told pere, she didn't. What they were discussing was their relationship. Maria finally acknowledged having feelings for pere but wasn't sure how genuine due to her outside boyfriend. Pere said it was fair enough and they would figure it outside. Then she asked him to switch of cos she wanted to say more but didn't want viewers hearing.

Looking at pere when the announcement was made u can see he was surprised and a bit disturbed. The only thing that may console him is thinking she put him there cos he won't be her final two to be evicted.
