Some lawyers too are agents but hiding under the umbrella of NBA, some are NBA drop out that are still practicing as lawyers. They hardly handle court cases, but very good as agents in any thing you want to do- property, clearing, documents etc, some are charge and bail lawyers, they go to court often to source for work to do. That is why you see them scouting for clients on NL, lying and written nonsense with unnecessary branding in Nairaland.If the Lawyer is good and knows what he is doing, Nairaland is too small for him to catch his client, his good work done can cause him enough referral which will bring more jobs for him.

I believe if you are consulted to cary out a search and prepear a Deed of Assignment on behalf of a client that has concluded to buy acres of land in this axis for a purpose best known to him you will not hesitate to do it and charge your own fee.With all what is written here i believe its all branding,trying to sell oneself out to public.But the best time to buy is the period when it is still bush like those pictures you are showing.How many people can buy plot of land in Lekki Peninsular now for the price at which they sell 100 million to 150 million but the place was formally a water log bushy area before 10 years ago and the price was between 500 thousand to 1 million naira.
Even if the place is a bush now as far as a developer can show the good title document with good approved layout,i will advice anyone that care to go ahead with it,a room is not build in a day.I know of a man who bought land in Ofada almost 5 years ago for just 20,000 per acre with just a receipt and rough agreement letter from the family,he did not even cary out any search whether its an acquisition area or not.
Now the person is a lucky man,he has collected C of O on it and he just fenced the perimeter area,he is not selling.He has been approached to sell buy some land speculators in the axis for 600,000 per acre because of the C of O The person is thinking of having developing the place by himself before selling so he will sell at good money.You know he has secured good title so hold till he is ready to sell.
Lawyer your advice is good but try and teach people on the one to buy not that they should not buy,if you don't know have anything to write about Ofada just mouth and let people that want buy.

Properties will always be apreciating in Nigeria eccept if their is a disasters,God forbid.I mean like what happen in some places close to Florida in US.
Nigerians,we love properties,we want to own our houses ourselves.Some peolpe can even afford to have 3 to 20 houses,an estate to them alone in this country.Poeple dont sell the one they have to move to other ones.All this makes properties not to come down as we think.In abroad people are contemted with a house,when the children grow they move out from the parent,the parent sell the big house they might have bougth because of the numbers of family they have .Most of this farmilies go bact to like 2 Bedroom flat or 3 Bedroom flats,when they no the numbers of people have reduse.
Nigerians doesnt do dis,you find out most of this giant houses are empty .Some childrens sell or let them out,childrens go their ways,have their farmily start their life. African and Niger mentality.

But Real Estate is not bad yet in Nigeria ,price of property just stand still,people are not buying because of the current global market that is down.But,the property agents,developers and the landlords refuse to bring the prices down.

I think it cant since we are not use to credit (mortgage)the way they do in abroad.People commonly use their personal money to buy here in Nigeria instead of mortgage,banks are not even given mortgage as they promise and advertise on our news papper.
