Christianity EtcRe: self-service Leads To Homosexuality--watchtower by scotcom: 8:36am On Nov 09, 2014
Well one thing I know about Jehovah witness is that some of their teachings that were not accepted in the past are now widely accepted now,for example, I remember in the mid 80s when they come around preaching to people that the name of God is Jehovah,people laugh at them because churches don't preach or teach with that name then,but today it's on the lips of everybody,also they are the fours to come out to let people know Christmas is not right and a lot of churches and organisation are seeing it to be true now

Car TalkRe: My 2002 316i BMW Smokes Ocassionally by scotcom(op): 5:40pm On Oct 13, 2013
I want to say thank you to nairalander who advised me on my first post on nairalander concerning my BMW that smokes occasionally,I actually got the engine rebuilder after a while but the problem was actually a crack on the cylinder head which makes one of the valves inactive and as such oil do escape into the combustion chamber and it comes out in form of blue smoke.but now I have another issue I need help of nairalander to advice.The problem started with me having a failed oil pump on motion,I later got another oil pump fixed and on trying to start the car we found out that the nozzle was not spraying fuel we ran a scan on the car and I was told my brain box is bad that as such I will need another ecu plus ews to get my car started.i went to buy this items and now the nozzles spray but the car is yet to start.pls can anyone advice pls.The car is 2002 n42 engine of e46.

i am a regular visitor of this thread but now i am very interested in beign actively involve,i have my own little ideas too,but am still waiting for when venue and time will be fixed for participants and interested people to meet and discuss, since everything is graduating to a club(kind of)will be so happy to pick my membership form too.at times sharing ideas with the wrong people could be more frustrating at the end,so its really will be of great benefit if a meeting is scheduled and we all discuss.presently i am into home appliances,am an aggressive marketer too,so am interested in anything that has to do with marketing and services.

@yemosola
bmw and benz autho trans does not give problems like japanese,just be good to that baby and u will have a cuse to smile always,after picking pls holla at me so that i can welcome u to the club and pls feel free to ask any question and remember the autho trans comes as steptronics(i.e u can drive it as authomatic as well as manuals)
Car TalkRe: Bmw 320i Little Issues by scotcom: 12:27am On Dec 31, 2012
@yemosola
just like other brands of cars,there are few things that determines the price of bmw in the market
1. if it is fabrics or leather seat
2,manual trans is cheaper than authomatic trans
3,neatness
4. if all gadjets are in good workimg condition e.g the air con
5.if the engine size is 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder
for 4 cylinder coja comes with n42 and n46 engine type which could either be 316i or 318i
but for six cylinder it comes as 325i or 330i
i dont understand what u mean by fairly use,do u mean tokunbo or nigerian fairly used.
have u been driving before?if yes then prefderence for manual or authomatic will be urs,but manual for coja is like wanting to drive eternity without any gear issues.

@yemosola
coja is a lovely car to drive and own,i am presently using one now,but the most important thing is that once u get it dont leave all the problems for ur mechanics to profer the solution alone,try and join bmw owners club like bimmer forum etc,u will find alot of solution to any problem u might be facing,that was from my personal experience,i drive one presently with no regret,although i had issues slighly in the past but now i think am very familiar with a lot of things with the car,secondly its not a car u give to all bmw mechanics as it comes with aluminium cylinder,performance is great but avoid overheating for the car,generally u can never regret buying that car,i stand to be challenge by anybody who think otherwise

Please GURUS in autos should help me out:i have a bimmer 2002 (coja)which smokes occassionally especially after reving it much,although it shorts oil a little,but i was told the engine is still ok as it sounds perfectly and compression is standard and it does not kill plugs.if i start the car in the morning it drops water and it does not smoke but if i give it a hard drive after a while it will smoke(blue smoke)a while and then stop.for example,if am going on a journey of 120km,leavinghome it will not smoke but after 10km it will smoke slighlty till like 30-35km after which it may not smoke for the rest of the journey.i am confuse as i price the engine and was told it goes for 250,000 for tokunbo which is still on the high side for me now.also somebody offer to sell (borale)i.e with some part missing(alternator,compressor,water pump)since my own is still ok for 120,000.pls auto guru help your guy out. Diffrent Mechanics say diffent things and am lost.
Car TalkRe: My Engine Rings Are Failing: Is It Better To Work On It Or Change The Engine? by scotcom: 7:30pm On Aug 14, 2012

Ikenna351: That depends.

If your car is Japanese/Asian, then I would advice that you continue using the engine in that condition until you can afford to replace the engine (tokunbo). Rebuilding it wont even last upto the 6 months the mechanic has told you. Its possible that your engine walls have worn, meaning, you may have to machine/bore it, replace the pistons with bigger size ones and the rings as well. Besides, am yet to see original japanese piston and rings in Nigeria, unless you source them from outside the country.

If your car is Peugeot, I would advice you rebuild, which will serve you more than the tokunbo engine. Why? All peugeot engines (except NT9E & NT9EA) have Piston Liners, also known as Sleeve. Peugeot only have standard Piston and Sleeve in the market. An original set (Piston & Sleeve), will serve you for years, I mean, years not months, before it could show you sign of failure. That I have experienced. I can vouch for it. But rebuilding a Peugeot engine with original parts could cost more than a tokunbo engine (depending on the extent of wear in the engine, like a failed crankshaft). But it will run like NEW, unlike the used engine(tokunbo). You can get original set of Peugeot Piston & Piston Liners from various Peugeot dealerships scattered everywhere, not from the spare parts market, unless you have a seller that is honest to you.
