Despite the widespread warning that the deadly Coronavirus was spread through the eating of Chinese Bat Soup, some of the citizens aren't buying the talk as they believe it's no way linked to the virus.

Just a few days ago, a woman was spotted eating a cooked bath in a Chinese Restaurant amidst the CoronaVirus outbreak and she looked unperturbed about getting infected with the Virus which was likely linked to bats.

Chinese media has shared footage showing 20 people celebrating as they leave a hospital after recovering from the coronavirus.

n 11-second clip was shown on the state-run TV channel and purportedly shows former patients from the Jinyintan Hospital, in Wuhan, walking out the hospital after being discharged.

The people in the video can be seen celebrating and flashing peace signs to the gathered reporters while wearing face masks.

Earlier this week, a 23-year-old man was reported to be the first person to overcome the deadly virus, according to authorities in China.

The official coronavirus death count stands at 259 - all of whom died in China. Officials have said almost 12,000 cases have been confirmed in the country, while 22 other countries have also announced confirmed cases.

Two cases have been confirmed in the UK and both are currently receiving specialist treatment in Newcastle.

Professor Chris Whitty, chief medical officer for England, said: "We can confirm that two patients in England, who are members of the same family, have tested positive for coronavirus.

"The patients are receiving specialist NHS care, and we are using tried and tested infection control procedures to prevent further spread of the virus.

"The NHS is extremely well-prepared and used to managing infections and we are already working rapidly to identify any contacts the patients had, to prevent further spread.

"We have been preparing for UK cases of novel coronavirus and we have robust infection control measures in place to respond immediately.

"We are continuing to work closely with the World Health Organisation and the international community as the outbreak in China develops to ensure we are ready for all eventualities."

The pair had stayed at the Stacycity apart-hotel in York when medics were called in and they were taken to a hospital in Hull; they were then transferred to a specialist unit in Newcastle.

Professor Whitty has said there's 'a high chance people would get better'.

He told the BBC: "A lot of people will end up with a relatively minor disease."

A Thai soldier has killed 'many people' in a shooting rampage around the city of Nakhon Ratchasima, to the north-east of Bangkok.

Local media are reporting at least 12 deaths and suspect Jakraphanth Thomma remains at large.

A defence ministry spokesman told the BBC that Thomma attacked his boss before opening fire at a military camp, a Buddhist temple and a shopping centre. The spokesman added that the suspect is now hiding in the basement of the shopping centre.

The incident is still ongoing and the alleged shooter was documenting his rampage on a Facebook page that has now been taken down.

Before he began the massacre, he wrote: "Rich from cheating, taking advantage of others. Do you think they can spend money in hell?"

The post continued: "Can't escape death, everyone."

He also posted an image of a pistol with three sets of bullets, along with the words: "It is time to get excited."

Then, sharing a selfie of himself wearing a military uniform, a helmet and holding a rifle, he wrote during the shooting: "Bad luck, cramp. Should I give up? I'm tired now I can't move my finger anymore."

Local media report that the shooter has taken several hostages.

The attacker first shot dead his commander and two others inside a military camp before fleeing in a stolen Humvee and firing at civilians along the route to Terminal 21 shopping mall in Muang district, according to the Bangkok Post.

Pictures and videos from the scene appear to show smoke above the shopping centre, which is believed to have been caused after a gas canister was shot.

A police spokesperson told AFP: "The gunman used a machine gun and shot innocent victims resulting in many injured and dead.

"I cannot confirm the death toll right now, police sealed off the area."

Erika Constantine found the strange unknown animal in a park known by locals as Sunrise Park, which faces out towards Bermuda in the North Atlantic

A strange eyeless mutant creature found washed up by a dog walker is thought to be a refugee from the US government’s secretive “Monkey Island.”

The animal – roughly the size of a small dog but with huge teeth and unsettlingly weird body shape, was found by Erika Constantine while she was walking her dog in Melton Peter Demetre Park, near the US city of Charleston, South Carolina.


“I take my dog, River, there very frequently,” said Erika, 25. “We were just strolling and she went up to it.

“I saw her picking at something with her nose and that’s what made me walk over there because she only does that if something is dead, or if something interesting to her is over there.”

Erika’s photos show that the creature has been almost reduced to bone, with part of its skeleton appearing to take the shape of a fin or rib cage.

Only a few teeth remain in the skull and the bizarre beast appears to have no eyes.



“I honestly did not know what it was,” said Erika. “It was the size of a small dog but the structure of the whole thing suggests it’s definitely not a dog.

“I have lived here for about five years and I have never come across something like this.”

Searching for answers, Miss Constantine put her footage online and got a deluge of different answers.

“I thought somebody would be like, ‘Oh, it’s like a seal’ and then I would go about my day but it stumped a lot of people,” she said.

“There are so many theories as to what it is – the cops said it was a possum, it’s definitely not a possum. People were saying it’s a dog, people were saying it’s an iguana.

“Somebody said it was a bobcat which was interesting because they do have similar ribcages.”

Some even suggested it could be the mythical chupacabra, a vampiric beast which is said to feast on the blood of livestock.

Erika has sent her photos to a professor at the College of Charleston in the hope of having the mystery creature identified, but she is yet to receive a response.

Still, she has a theory as to the creature’s true identity – and it involves a secret island overrun by monkeys nearly 40 miles away.

“It’s technically called Morgan Island but it’s nicknamed Monkey Island,” she said.

“It’s not inhabited by humans, it’s all monkeys. That’s where all the monkeys that the government tested on live.

“I think one of the monkeys from Monkey Island, unfortunately, might have got swept up in a current, the riptide or whatever and then it made its way to Charleston.

“It wouldn’t really be the first time, my friend actually found a monkey fossil on the beach a while back, so I think it just kinda got washed up here.”

The monkeys belong to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, though the institute says it carries out no disease research on the island, beyond monitoring the monkeys.

Nonetheless, no-one is permitted to visit the island.

Michael Jackson alive conspiracy fans are convinced footage of an impersonator on stage is actually his clone.

The two videos have surfaced on YouTube this week of Chinese tribute artist Wang Jie – otherwise known as Jackson Wang.

One clip from a performance in Sydney shows the singer donning Jacko’s iconic red jacket and singing Billie Jean with another singer.



It was shared by Mr_Joyy Production to on February 2, with the caption: “Michael Jackson Alive Back?”

In the YouTube description, he added: “This is clone Michael Jackson. That guy’s name is MJ Wang Jackson.”

Another video also emerged from the same gig on February 1 and was posted by user Okom.

He captioned it: “Michael Jackson clone.”

Wang Jie does bear a startling similarity to the Thriller hitmaker and has the trademark long black hair to match the outfits.

An article by chinawhisper.com has previously called him “Michael Jackson’s best imitator from China”.

But fans are clearly so amazed by his looks that they have leapt to suggest he could be the real thing.

Commenting on the clip, one wrote he had the same “forehead and nose”.

Another took to Twitter to claim: “This is Michael Jackson.”

Wang has received several awards for his impersonation of the King of Pop.

He was given the Outstanding Contribution Award at the Shanghai World Expo, the 2010 China Internet Celebrity Award, and was named Harmony Star by the World Harmony Foundation, according to a report by Sina News.

It is not the first time an impersonator with a startling similarity to MJ has sparked conspiracy claims.

Spanish tribute artist Sergio Cortes’ videos have seen some theorists claim he is the singer himself.

Police have released footage of a 'violent' robbery in London in which a tourist was stabbed and robbed in broad daylight.

The 55-year-old victim had a Breguet Tourbillon watch worth in excess of £115,000 ($149,109) ripped from his wrist and suffered a deep stab wound to his left arm during the robbery, which took place at around 3.30pm on 9 June 2019 in Berkeley Square, Mayfair.

Both he and his wife chased the three male suspects, but they ran off in the direction of Park Lane.

The victim was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment and both he and his wife have received counselling since the 'vicious' robbery.

Officers from the Central West Area Robbery Squad are leading the investigation, but no arrests have been made to date.

Detective Constable Eve Kelly, said: "This violent robbery was committed in broad daylight, and it appears that the victim was specifically targeted for his watch.

"He and his wife were left shaken, and have since received counselling to help deal with the impact of this robbery.

"We have followed up numerous CCTV and forensic leads but unfortunately not made any arrests, and now we are hoping that the public can help put names to these faces.

"If you recognise any of these men we would urge you to get in touch."

The suspects are described as men in their 30s, of Mediterranean appearance and medium build.

The crime took place around a mile away from where Mohammed Abdullah Al Araimi was stabbed to death during an attempted robbery of his Rolex watch at around midnight on 6 December 2019.

Mr Al Araimi, 20, attempted to fight off the attackers but was knifed in the back, collapsing under a Christmas tree in Hans Crescent, near an entrance to Harrods.

According to the Evening Standard, Mr Al Araimi's brother Raid said last month: "As a family, we are all grieving at the loss of Mohammed. He only went out for a meal with a friend and never came home.

"If anyone knows who is responsible, or believes they know, please do the right thing and tell the police. We would not want another family to suffer like we are suffering."

A lot of us would find a headstand challenging enough, however, Li Longlong (China) can not only stand on his head but walk on it too!

Li, who is from Henan province of mainland China, has held the record for most consecutive stairs climbed on the head since 2012.

His latest attempt was on the set of CCTV Guinness World Records Special in Jiangyin, China on 5 January 2015, where he achieved a new record by climbing 36 stairs.

Li was able to beat his previous record of 34, which was again on the set of CCTV Guinness World Records Special on 6 December 2012.

This was a record he shared with Zhao Xiaolong (China) who also achieved it on the show.

Despite eventually breaking this record three years later, it wasn’t the first time Li had attempted to improve upon his own total.

Li appeared on the seventh series of Italy’s Lo Show dei Record to try and break the record.

Unfortunately, after a gallant attempt, Li didn’t quite manage it.

The strict rules for this gruelling challenge insist that the participant must not pause for more than five seconds between steps, and that no part of the body other than the head may touch them, which unfortunately happened in this case.

However, it wasn’t long after that Li secured his place as the sole record holder of this title, which he’s now retained for over 5 years.

But with how competitive this record title has been in the past; it might not stay his for much longer…

The first photographs have been shared showing inside the emergency hospital built to treat patients infected with the new strain of coronavirus.

Work on the makeshift centre in Huoshenshan, China, which includes 1,000 beds, was completed today, just 10 days after it began, state media has reported. It will open for patients tomorrow (3 February).

More than 4,000 workers and 1,000 vehicles have been working around the clock to build the Huoshenshan Hospital - nicknamed 'Fire God Mountain' - which is in the city that is thought to be the virus' ground zero.

According to reports, the country's army has taken control of the hospital, with around 1,400 military medics brought in from the People's Liberation Army.


Authorities also brought in specialist engineers from across China to help speed up the building process.

The prefabricated hospital's design has reportedly been based on that of the one in Beijing that was constructed in 2003 to fight the outbreak of the SARS virus.

The 269,000-square-foot building is one of two new hospitals that has been constructed in Wuhan in the wake of the World Health Organisation's declaration of a global emergency.

Another medical centre was opened last week - just 48 hours after work was started.

Workers and volunteers in Huanggang City managed to put the work in to get the doors open on the Dabie Mountain Regional Medical Centre, which will provide treatment for around 1,000 patients, in just 48 hours.

This facility, one of four emergency treatment bases being established by the authorities, was converted from an empty building.

The Huanggang City authorities said that the work that was completed so quickly was thanks to the combined efforts of construction staff, paramilitary police officers and utility companies.

The world has been put on high alert as the number of those infected by the disease passes 14,000, with more than 300 people have died.

In China alone, the death toll has risen to at least 204 people, with more than 3,000 people having been infected.

Meanwhile, a scientist has claimed she is only sleeping for two hours a night as she tries to create a vaccine for the coronavirus.

Kate Broderick, from Scotland, and her team at pharmaceutical firm Inovio, based in San Diego, are working around the clock to stop the spread of the deadly illness.

Speaking to The Times, the 42-year-old says she feels a 'personal responsibility' to do her part and help prevent further deaths.

She said: 'I've spent my entire life working towards making a difference in an outbreak setting like this and I will do whatever it takes.

"I personally am averaging about two hours' sleep a night at the moment."

New Year's Day is a write-off for most of us; a day of nothingness, with the sole objective being to recover as much as possible before returning to work the next day.

But one dad in Scotland decided to devote his first day of the decade to setting up a hot tub in his living room - and he got 'every single step wrong'.

Derek Snedden, from the village of Dunbeg, almost 100 miles north of Glasgow, said he was inspired to get the tub up and running in the house because he 'was bored and the telly was rubbish'.

However, he never envisaged that a lack of research and a catalogue of errors would mean the hot tub wouldn't be usable until the next day - some 18 hours after he first embarked on the ridiculous project.

The 50-year-old said: "Every single process was an obstacle.

"Blowing it up, we had to find something to cover one of the holes on the tube as the screw-in cover was lost. We tried sellotape, masking tape, and after looking all through the house found a plastic end of a cardboard tube, which was the delivery tube for a map - it couldn't have fitted any better.

"Blew it up, time to fill it. I measured a length of garden hose from my hose roll, cut it off, then tried to force it on the kitchen taps. I had not long moved house and forgot to take the connector from my outside hose so had no connection for the tap, and the hose never fitted any of the taps.

"I eventually found a bit of plastic pipe, I jubilee clipped that to the tap, then sellotape, masking taped and insulated taped the hoses together. It was very, very slow and the water p****d everywhere; saying that, after it my bathroom was gleaming."

From there, it took around four hours to fill, and after two hours of heating, he was ready to enjoy the fruits of his labour. However, Derek - who is a head chef by trade, not an in-house hot tub installer - had made a fatal error.

He said: "I tried the water and it was like the Arctic. I looked inside and I hadn't taken off the covers that pump the water in and out. By this time it was 3am the following morning - we went to bed."

But when Derek woke up the next day, it was like Christmas had come again.

He said: "I got up at 10.30am on the 2nd and went down and it was roasting, it was out of this world. It was well worth the two hours we were in it."

After 18 hours setting it up, and a further three hours emptying it - using a cut up bit of garden hose to siphon it out of the front and back doors and a bucket to chuck the rest out of the window - Derek is unequivocal about whether his Lay-Z-Spa will be returning to the living room.

He said: "Would I do it again? ... F**k yes.

"Would I do a wee bit of research and find out about it beforehand? ... Probably not.

"Me and Kelly [his girlfriend] have never laughed so much, and she says it was one of the best New Year's Day's she has ever had."

Derek, you are an inspiration to us all.

This is the heartwarming moment a scuba diver saved a tiny fish that had got stuck inside a plastic bag.

Nat Senmuang was diving with friends when she noticed the little fish barely breathing inside the plastic pollution in Phuket, southern Thailand on February 14.

Without intervention, the fish would almost certainly have suffocated and drowned. Head-cam footage shows how the caring scuba teacher picked the bag from the seabed and shook it to rouse the fish.

The fish eventually found a way to escape through a hole in the plastic bag and swam free. The diver showed the plastic package while her colleague did a thumbs-down gesture.

The touching rescue highlights the devastating effect that plastic is having on marine life in the world’s oceans.

Nat said that she had seen a lot of sea creatures were affected and killed by plastic pollutions while she went diving in the Andaman ocean. She said: ''As a local, I have seen an increasing in pollution and litter has become very dangerous for many lives in the ocean. ‘’I want everyone to be more considerate of other creatures just by putting their trash in the bin, not scattering rubbish around the beach.'' ''Those beautiful creatures soon will be extinct because of us, unless we change our ways.''

A woman born with 31 fingers and toes has spent her entire life hiding at home after being branded a witch by cruel neighbours. Kumari Nayak, 63, has polydactylism – a common abnormality at birth where the person has extra fingers and toes. With 19 toes and 12 fingers, Kumari enters the Guinness World Records for having the most digits in the world. But she said her condition has plagued her for the entirety of her life and means she often feels forced to stay inside.

She does not have enough money to get medical treatment and claims cruel neighbours call her a ‘witch’ and avoid her in the street. Kumari, from Ganjam district in Odisha, India, said: ‘I was born with this defect and I couldn’t be treated as we belonged to a poor family. ‘It has now been 63 years that I have had this condition. ‘The residents nearby, who are too much into blind faiths, believe that I am a witch and keep away from me. They sometimes come to see my condition – but never help. ‘I am forced to stay indoors as I am being treated differently which is not a nice way of treatment from my neighbours.’

One of her neighbours, who is aware of Kumari’s condition, said others in their ‘small village’ put too much belief in superstition. The neighbour said: ‘I know that she has a medical problem and has nothing to do with what others believe her to be. ‘I feel so sorry for her that she cannot even afford to get herself treated.’ Across India, 134 people, mostly women, were killed for the alleged use of ‘black magic’ in 2016, according to the National Crime Records Bureau. In some parts of the country to this day, women accused of black magic are killed by lynch mobs under the guise of ‘witch-hunting’.

According to DW News, several Indian states have introduced laws to prevent it, but activists say they are inadequate. Government officials in India, having heard of Kumari’s plight, have offered her a home and a pension, and are making attempts to spread awareness among her neighbours. An administrative department spokesman said: ‘We are aware of her situation and have offered all possible help. ‘We are also educating her neighbours to treat her with love and compassion and that she is not a witch.’

Check out this amazing video of a Shaolin monk walking on water for 125 meters, using 200 floating plywood planks.
Shi Liliang is from the Quanzhou Shaolin Temple, and it took him three attempts to break his previous record of 120 meters, set in January.

Last October, he set a record of 118 meters.

"You need to be fast but you should take only small steps," Shi told reporters back then.

The stunning stunt requires perfect balance and huge speed to carry out, and the monk has been practising it since 2005.

The Shaolin Monastery is well known for its kung fu monks that undergo rigorous training to conduct impressive acrobatic and physical feats.

'Green snow' has fallen on a Russian city, causing locals to believe that space dust has landed.

The snowfall occurred in Chelyabinsk, where a meteor exploded over the city in 2013, while local media suggested local residents were "cheered up" by the green snow having suffered a long winter.

Kurs Dela Russian reported: "Green snow in the Chelyabinsk region appeared to cheer up Chelyabinsk residents who showed signs of depression due to a long winter."

However, the local government claimed that the green snow fell as a result of dust being blown from a nearby quarry.

A Twitter user said: "The regional Ministry of Ecology explained the green snow in Chelyabinsk. A strange colour rainfall at the entrance to the city from the side of Yekaterinburg was recently discovered by citizens.

"On Monday, January 13, department specialists left the site and came to the conclusion that the snow turned green due to dust from a nearby granite quarry."

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were unable to hide their shock when an 80-year-old This Morning guest went into graphic detail about her love life live on air.

Iris Jones appeared on the ITV show to discuss her relationship with 35-year-old toyboy Mohamed Irbriham who she met on Facebook, sparking concern among her family that he may be a gold digger.

Schofield asked Jones about her first night with Ibraham, to which she replied: “Oh, the first night? It was rough. Nobody had been near me for 35 years, I thought I was a virgin again.

Willoughby gasped and clapped her hand over mouth and both she and Schofield descended into giggles as Jones continued: “I couldn’t walk the next day. I felt as if I’d been riding a horse. Saddlesore wasn’t in it.”

Jones revealed many people had warned her about Irbriham’s intentions, including her two sons. But she said she believes their love is “real and true” and he has said he will sign a legal document saying he does not want any of her money.

A video of an airline passenger drying a shoe with a plane’s overhead air vent has grossed out many online.

Footage of the unidentified passenger’s repulsive actions was posted to the Instagram account Passenger Shaming on Jan. 16, garnering more than 344,400 views as of Monday.

“So yeah, this BS, zero self-awareness nonsense is happening…again…” the caption on the post read while thanking Canadian wakeboarder Dylan Miller for submitting the video.

In the short clip, the offender is seen shoving a sneaker into the overhead vent, presumably to dry it.

It’s unclear which airline the off-putting incident occurred.

Soon after the video was shared, many responded in disgust.

“Looking for a perfect way to spread your scent throughout the cabin? Look no further,” one person wrote.

“That’s a new one. Now I’ll have to clean that part as well!!” added another.

“At least it wasn’t underwear,” another person wrote.

The shoe-drying incident comes on the heels of other recent outrageous foot-related behaviour on a plane that was caught on camera.

A man in the US state of Arizona has been pulled over by the police and given a ticket after he had an unusual passenger in the front seat of his car. 

The individual in question was attempting to use the carpool, or HOV lane (high-occupancy vehicle)  in State Road-101, near Apache Boulevard in the Tempe area, but rather than having another person in his car, or something that was alive, he actually had a skeleton.

Fear not, as it wasn't a real skeleton but just a prop. That being said he had dressed up the skeleton in a shirt and hat to make it look like there was a person riding shotgun with him.

However, the 62-year-old driver's ruse didn't fool the Arizona Department of Public Safety who stopped the man and snapped a picture of his bony friend and warned others not to do the same, while also making a reference to Masters of the Universe.

Despite a crime being committed, people still found the story very funny.

According to a report by the Associated Press, around there were around 7,000 violations of the HOV lane in Arizona every year, including one person, who in 2019 tried to use it while having a mannequin wearing sunglasses and baseball cap in the front seat.

A man was shocked to find his own gave at a cemetery, despite being very much alive. Alan Hattel said he was worried by the fact nobody had phoned him in three or four months, and couldn’t figure out why. Now he believes people think he died – and wants them to know the truth. He blames his ex-wife for putting the gravestone there, though admits he cannot be certain.

Alan, 75, a retired welder from Forfar, Tayside, said: ‘My phone hasn’t rung for three or four months. I’ve been confused by it all but now I know why nobody has been calling. ‘I don’t even want to be buried – I plan to be cremated.’

He declared: ‘I’m still alive’, as he stood beside his headstone and said reports of his death had been greatly exaggerated. Mr Hattel said he had realised something was not right because his social life has been deathly quiet for the past three or four months.

The headstone was erected at Newmonthill Cemetery in Forfar. He says it was done without his knowledge and the whole thing was ‘like something out of Only Fools and Horses’. He has also spoken to Angus Council officials and plans to put a cover over the headstone which bears his name.

The 75-year-old, who spent 37 years as a welder before retiring, claimed his ex-wife has bought the plot of land and put up the headstone with the intention of them being buried together.

Both their names appear on the headstone. ‘I’ve never, ever said I wanted to be buried alongside my ex-wife,’ said Mr Hattel, who has two grown-up children with his former spouse.

‘We’ve been separated 26 years and there’s no animosity but I’m struggling to take it all in. ‘To find out you have a gravestone in a cemetery while you are still alive isn’t something that happens every day.’

A family member at Mrs Hattel’s home said: ‘This is a family matter being dealt with privately.’ Angus Council said it was unable to discuss the issue or disclose any information about who purchased the plot
