Actress Anita Joseph has spoken in defense of her colleague and friend, Tonto Dikeh who has come under serious attack after her tell-all interview with Daddy Freeze about her failed marriage with ex-husband and father of her son, Olakunle Churchill.

Putting aside their political difference, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has condoled with his political rival and the senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, over the death of his mother, Comfort. Mrs Melaye died on Thursday April 2nd.

Investigators have found the flight data recorders from an Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed on Sunday.
The devices recovered at the crash site were the Boeing 737 Max 8's cockpit voice recorder and digital flight data recorder. The plane was en route from Addis Ababa to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, when it crashed six minutes after take-off, killing all 157 people on board.
Several airlines have grounded the Boeing model following the disaster. The months-old aircraft came down near the town of Bishoftu, 60km (37 miles) south-east of the capital at 08:44 local time (05:44 GMT).

There was panic at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Port Harcourt GRA, Phase 2, on Tuesday, as fire engulfed some rooms on the first floor.


It was gathered that the fire, which started in one of the rooms, forced occupants of other rooms to rush out of the premises, while other guests, who parked their vehicles on the premises, hurriedly drove them out.

Sources said the inferno was extinguished by workers in the hotel, who battled for about 10 minutes before the arrival of operatives of the Rivers State Fire Service.


There was, however, no human casualty, but property worth millions of naira was destroyed by the inferno.

The Human Resources Consultant to the hotel, Paul Odousoro, told PUNCH Metro that the cause of the fire was still unknown, adding that the occupant of the room where it started was not around when the inferno began.
