The Boko Haram sect Sunday night invaded Lassa town in Askira/Uba local government council, Borno State, unleashing terror, killing dozens of villagers and torching many worship and residential houses.

The attack, according to reports from Lassa, was resisted by the villagers who engaged the attackers with locally made rifles, bows and arrows. The insurgents who were said to have come with all sorts of modern weapons were said to have overpowered the locals after a brief exchange of fire.

As it is now, Boko Haram is fully in charge in Lassa town and has declared the town a caliphate.

Jonathan only led the talk for Amnesty with ND Militants, just like he appointed Sambo to head talks with Boko Haram, that is clearly a strategic role and not that he was to visit some unfortunate victims. All over the World Presidents set team to see that there is peaceful talks. Hamas has his team, Israel has theirs, for America, the Secretary of State usually lead such talk and so on...bla bla bla!!! What we are talking is sympathising with victims, which is naturally led by the President(at least for most part of it). Apart from Abuja victims, President Jonathan has not visited any other bomb victims, but their Governors do. Your President will rather visit Emir Sanusi on a private visit because he(Emir) was ill.

Governments creates job directly and indirectly. Aren't the direct one called "government jobs" i.e. a government road and bridge maintenance agency that hires civil engineers etc to do work for state in infrastructure projects. Police jobs, etc. So I don't see where govt. Doesnt create jobs.

Government also creates jobs indirectly by putting in place policies and either reducing taxes or spending to stimulate economy to help certain industries grow.

Goverment is NOT responsible for creating Jobs HOWEVER Government is responsible for fostering an environment that creates jobs in a society. If you have been following current situation in America you would see that the Government is NOT pushing to itself create the jobs but ENCOURAGE situations that help businesses create jobs.
