Liverpool FC look set to land Nigeria startlet Taiwo Awoniyi today, but what can Reds fans expect from the youngster?

The Reds have beaten off competition from the likes of Porto and Monaco to land the striker who represented his country at every level from Under-15 upwards.

Awoniyi has already received his first call-up to the senior squad, despite being just 18, and has been likened to Christian Benteke.

Awoniyi looks set to be loaned out straight away in a bid to gain regular first team experience.

Solomon never thought that his son could go on to play at a global level and has praised Taiwo's coach at a young age, Rasaq Olojo, for persevering with his son and nurturing his talent.
