Politics / Re: Will You Go To A Resort That Has A Highway Running Directly In Front Of It? by Gajagojo: 10:44am
David160:
Landmark CEO is crying because FG wants to build a highway in front of his resort blocking access to the ocean. They don't need to demolish it to damage the resort... They've greatly diminished its value with this Act.

Those telling the man to take heart and sacrifice... Have never lost up to $1m talk more of $200M
What is the source of this $200 million claim?

Where did he get the money?

Was it a loan or FDI
What business was he doing to accumulate that kind of money

It is not a verifiable claim
repeating 100 times will not make it true

What exactly did he spend $200 million on ??

Any person who has $200 million to invest must check the legal position before doing so

Coast are security locations all over the world
Even if they don't build a highway the Navy can decide to build a base or do drills so no person can own the coast not even the state government

To do a coastal resort business he must seek the Federal Government permission

So if they leased land to him and now change then he would be entitled to compensation

Did he get any permission from the Federal Government before this so called investment?

No conscripted Russian personnel is fighting in Ukraine, rather, the reverse is the case. Ukraine conscripted their youths to die senselessly which prompted a mass exodus last year.

To update you on things, just last week, Ukraine revoked visa renewals for young men abroad which means their youth must come back to Ukraine to renew visas (join the army) or become illegal migrants in their host countries.

The US featured many conscripted college kids to fight in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria & co. Many died.

fastseo:

If u read this forum well or a regular follower then you would have read about fullclub post earlier October last year when he told people not to come and what he was facing. And again numerous people have stated obvious fact on this thread that there is no job in UK now especially for students.
When I mean no jobs am talking about the very menial jobs.. Cleaner, kitchen porter, plate washing, or anything u think of because it's crime to pay anyone below minimum wage so any job counts even if is to pack shit, people are willing n are rushing.. Indians, parki,Nigerians etc all struggles for this

U know when you tell Nigerians the fact they rather believe in illusion saying if they survived in Nigeria they can survive in UK. But can they keep changing naira to pay rent? I did for almost 7 months and am still doing that now. Rent almost 500 pounds monthly.. Press calculator u go understand.
Some of us did change naira, borrowed n keep borrowing to pay rent here. I particularly sold lands to keep up still I couldn't still find my feet.

Anyone still following influencers on Facebook or on any social media be it twitter or WhatsApp group that he can survive it without a dependent working 24/7 then he has his self to blame. Even I have seen lots of dependant struggled to pass this huddles not to talk of single individual.

Because I see that the universities in UK got a lot of Nigerians on their payroll to influence Nigerians to come. The average UK can n won't cough out 14k for uni. The government already cap it 10k below.. So the universities turn to foreign students.

But the reality is that students are seeing shage banza promax in UK right now, some schools has sent many home already why others are banking on hope. Once u land in UK, the uni gives 1 or 2 months rest then they start asking for their money upfront, sending threat messages, blocking portals and without portal u can't submit assignments, mark attendance, follow up lecture etc.

Before coming I particularly ask a friend who is over if I can see jobs, he said yes there are jobs. I never knew he was just interested in referal commission he will get from the POF he referred me to, then use that money to pay back debt he owes in Nigeria, imagine if he does that to 10 people how much he gets. It was while I came I found out that all those while he didn't have a job for good three months n I don't know if he had currently now. Right now he doesn't pick calls. This is someon if I call in Nigeria even if he missed it, he calls back instantly. Now for 4 weeks I have been calling him no answer

A witnessed writing

I got my mention.

You don't need to stress ur self about issuing warning to Nigerians about UK. It's glaring that it's impossible to meet up even with ordinary rent as there is no job. So what's the point japa?

Those facing similar situation with school fees can arrange and see how to cross to other European countries and seek asylum if that will work. Asylum is 20 to 30% acceptance and 70 to 80% rejection

For those still thinking of making new application, please put a hold if u don't have 100% fees.

I rest my case

Tips for Cost-Effective Calling

Calling Mexico from the US can be expensive. But, saving money is possible. By using smart ways, you can lower your phone bill, keeping in touch with everyone. Here are some tips for affordable calls:

1. Utilize Calling Cards

Calling cards are a great way to save on international calls. They come with prepaid minutes for calling Mexico from the US cheaper. Just buy a card, use it following the guides, and talk clearly while saving funds.

2. Leverage Internet Calling Apps

Apps like Skype and WhatsApp use the internet to make calls. They don't need phone lines. With good internet, you can talk to Mexico at lower costs and still have a clear chat.

3. Take Advantage of Special Deals

Watch out for deals from phone companies. They often give special rates for international calls. This way, you can save money and have good quality talks.

4. Opt for International Calling Plans

If you call Mexico a lot, consider an international calling plan. Service providers offer these plans with cheaper rates for calling. They make calling Mexico cost-effective.

5. Time Your Calls Wisely

Pick the right time to call to save money. Know the time zone difference between the US and Mexico. Call when rates are lower, and keep your talks short to save even more.
Follow these tips to make your calls to Mexico cheaper from the US. You can stay connected with friends and family, do business, or chat with loved ones affordably. Smart calling saves money, letting you talk more without overspending.

Overcoming Language Barriers

Phone talks between the United States and Mexico can be tough due to language issues. But, there are ways to make these talks work better and be more meaningful.

Using Translation Apps

Translation apps offer a great solution for chatting on the phone. They change words in real time, helping both sides understand what's being said. This makes chatting easier and clearer, even with different languages.

Hiring Interpreters

For more serious chats, hiring an interpreter might be smart. These pros help people speaking different languages understand each other. They make sure the conversation is clear and accurate, bridging the language gap with ease.

Learning Basic Phrases

Another way is to learn some basic words in the other language. You don't have to know it all, just some hellos, questions, and key phrases. This shows you are trying to connect, which can help build a positive vibe between all.
Finding ways to talk well on the phone with Mexico from the US is key. Tools like apps, experts like interpreters, or some learning can really help. These ways make the talks smooth and effective.

Ensuring Reliable Connections

Making international calls needs a reliable connection for good talks. If you're calling family or working, clear audio is a must. This means you need a strong and steady connection.
Network congestion is a big problem. It happens when too many people use the network at once. This can cause calls to drop or be hard to hear. You should try calling when fewer people are using the network, like late at night.
Also, having a strong internet is key for calls over the internet. Without it, you might hear delays or echoes or lose connection. For better internet, connect your device to the router directly. Or, get closer to the Wi-Fi router for a good signal.
Low bandwidth can also hurt your calls. Bandwidth is the data speed of your internet. If it's slow, your calls may not work well. In this case, you should try to use less internet by closing apps and tabs. Or, you could get a faster internet plan.

Alternative Options

If your connection is still bad, there are other ways to call. Try using a mobile network instead of Wi-Fi. Mobile networks may be more stable, especially in bad Wi-Fi areas.
Or, think about using a regular phone for international calls. While internet calls save money, landlines are more reliable. They offer clear calls without internet issues.
To sum up, a good connection is crucial for international calls. By fixing common issues and trying other options, you can have better calls.

Conclusion

Calling Mexico from the US doesn't have to be hard. A few good tips can make it clear and simple. Know the rates and try different ways to call. This can save you money and give you good quality.
It's key to pick a good service to end your call. This makes sure you talk clearly. Also, think about using a group call service for talks with people in various places.Want better sound on your calls? Use a strong internet connection and make sure it's quiet around you. Think about the time difference too. This, along with special calling options, will improve your calls.
With these tips, calling Mexico from the US gets easier. You'll speak clearly without problems. Pick the best calling ways and use these hints for great talks every time.
Politics / Khalil/naseni And The Take From The Tinubu Trip. By Bala Ibrahim. by Oluwabash(m): 9:26am
KHALIL/NASENI AND THE TAKE FROM THE TINUBU TRIP.

By Bala Ibrahim.

It is no longer news that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is out of the country. He left the shores of Nigeria since last week, on official assignment to some countries, prominent among which is the Kingdom of the Netherlands, where he had a one day engagement at the invitation of King Willem-Alexander. The Nigerian delegation was made up of eminent personalities, comprising the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Industry, Trade and Investment; Agriculture and Food Security; Marine and Blue Economy; Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy; Power and Minister of State (Oil). Also on the President’s team are the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations; Executive Secretary (ES) Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC); Managing Director (MD) Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) and the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI). However, what may be news are the takes from the trip and what Nigeria stands to gain from them. And precisely that’s where the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Khalil Sule Halilu captured my attention and compulsorily compelled me to write this article.

Of course before he left, the office of the President had informed us that the purpose of the visit was to further strengthen cordial bilateral relations between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, but thanks to the appearance of Khalil Halilu on the Sunrise program of Channels Television this morning, the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President has been made succinctly clearer, thereby raising our trajectory of optimism.

In what may pass for a drill, young and bearded Khalil was aggressively questioned by the duo of Chamberlain Isoh and Maupe Ogun-Yusuf, the dreaded media professionals that have carved out for themselves, a niche for insightful and hard-hitting discussions always. Even as a journalist, with training on microphone friendliness, sometimes, my body temperature disobeys the gravity, once I have the misfortune of facing the interrogation of these colleagues. But from the show today, Khalil has not only proved his worth, but convinced the viewer that indeed Nigerians should have hope in the renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu, particularly with special bias to the ambition of many Nigerians, for the rapid development of science and engineering infrastructure, and how best to enhance technological innovations for sustainable economic growth.

Khalil was at his best, explaining the benefits or goodies that would come to Nigeria, pursuant to the commitments that were received from the Netherlands and how those benefits would key into the mandate of his agency. He made it very clear, with simple reference to the aviation service provider like the KLM of the Netherlands, how the mandate of his agency would be enhanced, in the management of research, as well as the development of capital goods, production and the reversal of local engineering inadequacies for the production of standard goods. In line with the assignment given to him and his agency, Khalil was proudly unequivocal, about the solar farming innovations, newly introduced by his agency and how their three new products were rushed, and sold out, long before they arrived at the market. This is a sign that indeed the agency is walking the Tinubu talk, as promised to Nigerians, that they came to give Nigeria services for the nation's technological advancement.

Khalil ‘s show today didn’t come as a surprise to many, because it is certainly consistent with his pedigree. Despite his youthfulness, with only 32 years of age to his credit, Khalil Suleiman Halilu had shown that with good education and the support of an extremely enterprising family, accomplishment can always be confirmed as fait accompli.

It may be remembered that, in what some saw as a surprise, shortly after the appointment, or is it the renewal of the appointment of Dr. Bashir Gwandu?, as the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI, by former President Muhammadu Buhari, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu terminated the appointment, and his place, announced young Khalil Suleiman Halilu as a replacement. Those with doubts on his competence or reservations regarding the appointment, should throw their doubts to the dogs now.

From the rundown and response on the take from this particular Tinubu trip, methinks the choice of the President on Khalil is not only apt, but appropriately suitable for Nigeria’s technological circumstances.

Tinubu told Wizkid to attack Davido from nowhere to divert our attention from his failures with jobless Yoruba youths to sustain it.
