It is still not bad Sir. Now that Tinubu has shown how clueless he is the number might reduce in ondo. Even if the number remains he same at least the other 28% will likely go to ADC and not scattered amongst mushroom parties. It is still a good one for ADC.

You are right bro. I don't know if Atiku is the solution, but I certainly know that Tinubu's government is irresponsible and must be stopped at all cost. This first term is his best, imagine when he wins again and has nothing to lose, Nigeria go bleed.
PoliticsRe: 2027: Tinubu Will Win If Coalition Picks A Southerner – Kenneth Okonkwo by searchlight: 6:58am On Jul 09, 2025
givedemwotowoto:
Wrong. Both Peter Obi and/or Atiku will defeat Tinubu at the polls, but Peter Obi has a higher chance of defeating Tinubu than Atiku.

Peter Obi defeated Tinubu in a 3-horse race in 2023 and will defeat him again in 2027.
I am a strong Obidient from Anambra state but I am not delusional.

If Obi defeated Tinubu in 2023 how come Tinubu is in Aso Rock running the Afairs of the country?

Peter Obi is the most qualified candidate from 2023 and till date but if the coalition field him, he will still be defeated by Tinubu either by hook or crook. Nigerian factor will still play against him. You don't expect Northerner to troop out and threaten fire if the election is rigged against Obi. You don't expect them to burn Tinubu posters and send a strong message of resentment to Tinubu just because of Obi.

Northerners have the highest voting strength and I don't know how their politicians speak to them and they all align.

Tinubu supporter are pushing the narratives that it is the south turn so that Obi will be fielded so as to make ther win easier.

If Obi won 2023 election and Tinubu is ruling why do you think that same thing won't repeat itself come 2027?

To get power from Tinubu, a Northerner is not just needed but Atiku Abubbakar must be the coalitions candidate. Anything outside that is another political mistake. If Obi and Atiku had contested together in 2023, they would have been in Aso Rock today.

Keep sentiment and face reality Sir. An Igbo man can't win a presidential election from opposition. It will even be hard for any southerner to achieve this because of the heavy division down here, unlike up there.

Do with this fact whatever you wish.

ATIKU should apply common sense and play the role of elder state man in the coalition.

Peter Obi without any structure won same number of states with those with solid structures already in place, meaning he is the most preferable candidate amongst the 3 contenders because the rest. One day the truth about the manipulations of 2023 election outcome will be revisited just as Nigerian keep on revisiting the annulment of June12 1993 presidential election. I hope all contenders for the position of presidential candidate will step down for Obi for the interest of justice and equity
Oga face reality for one. I am from Anambra but Obi can't defeat Tinubu no matter what. If Obi gets the ticket, it will be work over for Tinubu either by hook or crook.

An Igbo man can't win presidential election from opposition, in fact a southern can't win presidential election from opposition.

Atiku is the only person with the capacity to get power from Tinubu. If you like keeping arguing.

Tinubu supporter are praying for ADC presidential ticket to be handed over to Obi. That will be the biggest mistake from the party's.

Keep emotions aside and face reality.

If Tinubu had chosen a Christian VP in 2023, he would have lost. These are men who killed their emotions for political survival. Make I stop here.

Tinubu has actually taken free and fraudulent money out of the mouths of these people, particularly those that feed on the subsidy payment fraud and forex blackmarket fraud.

All Tinubu needs to do is to go to the drawing board, bring on deliberate policies and actions that will bring down prices of goods and services.

Those clamouring to take over from Tinubu wants to take Nigeria back to the Buhari Era where they where printing and sharing the Naira?

Just in FCT here, a minister was in office for straight 8 good years, all we could point to are abandoned projects and commissioning of 3 major roads that were rehabilitated.

Same FCT that a minister is commissioning several projects after just 2 years!
Weren't you aware when Buhari was printing and sharing money? Wasn't Tinubu aware of that? Why didn't you Zombies speak? Why now?

Not as easy as that. The choice of ADC presidential candidate and governorship candidates will go a long way in determining who wins . If adc picks the wrong candidate, they will lose woefully everywhere will shake but if they pick the right candidate, then they will beat Tinubu convincingly,.one advantage they have now is that Tinubu has messed up and many people are against him but that doesn't mean they will follow any candidate blindly
I am an ObIdient from Anambra State sir. The only candidate that could get power from Tinubu is Atiku Abubakar. An Igbo man can't win a presidential election in Nigeria from opposition. In fact a southern candidate can't win presidential election from opposition.

Whenever the north moves they move together. I don't know what their politicians tell them but you can't say the same down south because Igbo and yorubas will always fight for supremacy.

Give the ADC ticket to Obi, Tinubu will dust him again either by hook or crook.

I told people that Obi won't win 2023 election even before the election here in Onitsha and I was seen as a saboteur. Obi did well there by increasing his bargaining power. He should settle for VP and hope for Atiku to project him after his tenure and help rig the election for him. Anything outside this, Obi will never smell that seat.

The bitter truth.

PoliticsRe: Wike Is Only Powerful Because He Has Tinubu Behind Him – Momodu by searchlight: 5:11pm On Jul 03, 2025
emkz:
This is not true.

Wike is powerful because when Atiku left PDP in 2014 to work against PDP in the 2015 election, Wike stayed behind. Wike funded the party after Goodluck Jonathan lost the elections.

Gradually, Wike funded many people's elections. How he got the funds can be investigated.

Atiku returned in 2017. He hustled for the ticket. He won it. He picked Peter Obi as running mate without due consultations with the PDP southeast causus. Wike worked for the Atiku-Obi 2019 ticket. He even visited Tinubu at night to ask Tinubu to back Atiku, considering that pre-2019, Tinubu was considerably sidelined. When Tinubu asked WIke who'd replace Buhari, Wike mentioned Atiku, Saraki, and Company. Tinubu said if those were the alternatives, he'd stick out his neck with Buhari till the end despite being sidelined by Buhari's men.

Tinubu earned Wike's respect with that display of loyalty, and they started a friendship according to Wike.

In 2019 after Atiku lost the election, Wike, who was one of the funders of Atiku's run was immediately sidelined. Recall that Wike had originally pitched his tent with Tambuwal, but was convinced by Jonathan to support Atiku.

In 2022, Tambuwal was to step down for Atiku in an election Wike was contesting. Wike felt undermined and made some demands to Atiku, following his defeat. Atiku refused to honour terms. There were rumours that had Atiku won that election, he would have jailed Wike. So the 2023 election was also about Wike's political survival. He therefore teamed up with a strong candidate to guarantee his own survival.

Dele Momodu has not forgiven Wike for threading the path that guaranteed his own political survival.

Wike became a behemoth, not because of Tinubu, but because of the likes of Atiku who could not wait to build the PDP because of their personal ambitions. Wike has funded many politicians and they have showed they'd not bite the fingers that helped them. Bala Mohammed spoke against Wike, but stopped when Yakubu Dogara revealed that Wike funded Bala's election.

Dele Momodu also received PR contracts from Wike as governor. Today, Dele has turned against Wike, because Wike's choice for his (Wike's) political survival ruined Dele's ambition of political visibility under an Atiku government.

Dele Momodu has not won any election and has no business projecting as an expert on Tinubu and Wike. He has demonstrated he is poor in political PR.
I hate APC in extension to Tinubu and Wike but what you wrote was nothing but the truth. Atiku blew his chances by not ceding some positions to Wike for a party he's laboured to sustain. If Atiku had given Wike party chairmanship, Atiku would have been in asorock as we speak. If Atiku was smart enough to pick Wike as his running mate Atiku would have won.

I would have done exactly what Wike did if I was in his shoes. Atiku too greedy.

PoliticsRe: Bayo Onanuga Slams Buhari’s Appointees For Joining Opposition Coalition by searchlight: 4:57pm On Jul 03, 2025
emkz:
What exactly was Bayo Onanuga expecting?

These people felt sidelined.

1. The aviation minister under Buhari started the ill-fated Nigerian air that only took off on roadshows. EFCC is on him.

2. The former AGF was invited by EFCC in 2023. He is in the coalition.

3. A former senior airforce under Buhari personnel lost elections in Bauchi; he is in the coalition.

4. One woman was appointed into NDDC and also as a commissioner in INEC by Buhari. She was rejected by the people. She is with the coalition.

5. One sports minister under Buhari was so irresponsible that Buhari never brought him back. He became a critic of Buhari and is speaking for the coalition.

6. One former governor referred to as "the butcher" and Buhari himself called him "bulldozer" for bulldozing the buildings of political opponents. He was begged to stay behind and work for Tinubu. He was screened as minister and was dropped. Today, he said he wants to remove the "evil" he helped bring. Please, why did he want to serve under evil? Why should he be trusted that he won't bring another evil since masterminding evil is his forte?

7. There was a transport minister under Buhari who undermined his southsouth zone by refusing to build a university (Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko) in the zone, but built a university of transportation in Daura in a disturbing display of sycophancy to ingratiate himself to Buhari and the northern oligarchy. It was Ibe Kachikwu who said every project that concerned the southsouth zone must be prioritized. Ibe Kachikwu publicly said if the ministry of transportation could not take the university project to benefit the southsouth people, the ministry of petroleum would take it. Udoma Udo Udoma who was minister of Niger Delta Affairs was smiling as Kachikwu spoke.

Many of those going to the coalition from Buhari's camp actively undermined Buhari. Recall that Buhari had expressed pain that some of his achievements were not reported by those he appointed and he didn't know why. Recall also that Garba Shehu was reported to have shut down the WhatsApp group of Buhari's communications alumni when some of Buhari's appointees were promoting materials to undermine Tinubu.

All those from Buhari's camp going to coalition lost out in the political game of 2023. They need visibility and relevance. They do not mean well for the country. They had their chances. The results are there to see.
The coalition members failed while every single soul in APC has been excellent. Even Reno, FFK, and their likes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
