Christianity EtcThe Church Promotes Abortion By Her Actions by sebali(op): 4:19pm On Apr 14, 2019
It's no news that some churches would not wed couples if the bride is noticeably pregnant e. g Redeem.
In my Parish(am a Catholic) a sister was rejected as choirmaster because she has a child out of wedlock(this is a lady in her mid 30s)
Agreed, true Christians are suppose to abstain from sex before marriage bt now the deed is done. Is it not better to wed these couples then reject them. Do we rather the lady in my choir committed an abortion, keeps her secret to herself and becomes choirmaster.
I think these kind of stigmatisation is actually promoting abortion because girls who go ahead and give birth are shamed while those who abort in secret can even join in shaming their peers.

PoliticsRe: Give Reasons Why You Will Be Voting For Your Candidate by sebali: 8:43am On Feb 14, 2019
keryj:
I will vote Atiku/Obi, not because they are the best but simple because:

1, Buhari just need to go
2, A vote for any other candidate is a waste
3, Buhari just need to go
4, We need to try something new, different tactics and approach
5, Buhari just need to go
6, we cannot keep a man who is not sensitive to our sufferings
7, Buhari just need to go
8, Since fighting corruption is not working, let's fight other problems facing our beloved country through other minds
9, Buhari just need to go
10, The change we trusted didn't work out, I don't trust the next level we are going to. Nigeria were working before, let's try to make it work again.

All in all, if Atiku fails in four years time, ( if God willing he emerges as the winner) my beloved PVC will be available to kick him out if God spare my soul.

But if Atiku loses, I will not blame myself for not trying, I will just have to deal with Buhari for the next four years.

Let's all go out to deliver our mandate by voting for the candidate of our choice. its our Civic responsibility.

#Peaceforelection2019
Sista u ve spoken my mind.
Just to add. Many people think Jonathan lost because he was weak and not because our vote counted against him. Nigerians believe incumbents must win, thus if Buhari is successfully voted out the people would henceforth believe that vote counts. This would strengthen our democracy and put political office holder's in check knowing that if u don't perform u get only 4yrs.
FamilyRe: Help I Am A Cultist by sebali: 12:07pm On Feb 02, 2019
According to psychologist, 80% of the things we fear will never happen to us... Therefore fear is an illusion. The root of your problem is fear, and self dislike and this has one cure; confront your fears. S
Start by doing the things u re really afraid of doing because you feel people would laugh at you.
1. Go to talk to girls... You see any girl that interest you, start a simple conversation. If she rejects you move on to the next interesting girl and each time you succeed(have good conversation with a girl) count it as success. Success is one good way to overcome fear. So next time you fail you simply refer back to a successful discuss u had with a girl in the past.
2. Make it a habit to listen to people when they talk to you and don't laugh if it isn't funny. Mingle more against your fear.... Stay amongst positive people.
3. Google about BMI(body mass idex). If your BMI is ok by medical standard then your body is ok regardless of what you think...... Be proud of your body make up.
4. Take the first leap.... Show love and affection to your family members. Love begets Love

You are almost right, But Okowa will do a second term in office and James manager will return from the senate to succeed him in 2023 to fulfill the status quo of the king makers. Uduaghan and Ogboru are just making noise. Uduaghan was Governor for 8yrs, what did he do for Delta State? No sensible Deltan will vote for him. The only way Uduaghan is going to the senate and Ogboru Win the gubernatorial election in Delta state, is if Tompolo is dead and that cannot happen. Take it or leave it.
U missed my point.... No one is voting Uduaghan becos he did a good job as a governor... No.
It's tribal politics. The Itsekiri's are insisting its their turn to produce Delta South Senator. So Itsekiri's would vote for Uduaghan, Urhobo's in delta South would vote for Uduaghan while the Ijaw's would vote for Manager...... The winner depends on who the Isoko votes for.
Also tompolo is no longer as influential as he use to be. GEJ is no longer in ABUJA

Dey think a vote for APC at federal level means a win for APC at state level

Buhari can't get 10% in urhobo, he is hated forget the crowd you saw at that rally. They were there for ogboru and omo-agege. Herdsmen has killed so many people in ughelli north and they have terrorized Abraka too. As for the governorship election Okowa will win again, 40-50% urhobos will vote for him, Ijaws are all for him, he should get another 50% votes from Isokos and i can't tell about the itsekiris. Okowa pulled some last minute coup that change the mindset of so many political leaders and group and he also started massive works to save himself from disgrace. Omo-agege will win delta central senatorial election and as for James manager vs Uduaghan i have no comment. Ogboru lost some followers when he collected contracts from GEJ, that made some people feel he is just there for his stomach and not the people.
Are you sure you are within the Urhobo area of Delta State.... Cos i use to think like you until i started interacting on a personal level with Urhobos within their area. My job carries me around warri and it's environs so am not telling about her say bt first had information.

The Urhobos always go with the rotation policy if not Okowa wouldn't have succeeded in the last election.
Do you know that Okowa won about 21 local governments in that election?

Also, one fact you and the OP are keeping out is the unified Delta North. They will root for Okowa.

Okowa has a chance of winning up to 4 local governmens in Delta Central while he can win warri South through Ejele and Isoko through Leo Of.

The odds are against Ogboru.
The odds favour Ogboru cos on a free and fair basest Ogboru would sweep Delta central.... Urhobos do not believe in any rotation policy, they believe the governors seat is their right as the majority tribe in delta state.
Who be Ejele? to deliver Warri south, he is a new comer with politics who won't move mountains.
Sick Leo Ogor or another one. Leo Ogor has being abroad for abt a year.... He is sick and won his pry election in absential. He can do nothing bro

Delta sure desires a change of government but it is very difficult at the moment because the Urhobos believe in rotation, they will vote for Okowa and expect to take over in 2023.
Besides, out of the 8 Urhobo local government, PDP controls up to 4 if I'm not mistaken. Test only sure local government for APC is Ughelli north and south, Ethiope east While PDP has Ethiope West as their biggest stronghold due to Ibori (I'm from Ethiope West).

That being said, Buhari won't get 40% OP, don't allow those noise to deceive you.

APC may have a slim chance in the gubernatorial election but in for the presidential one.
Do you leave in Delta state? Cos on the street in warri and it's environs e. g Jeddo, Udu etc the Urhobo's are rooting for APC.
Surely These 3 LGA would deliver for APC; Ughelli North and South and Udu... Uvwie is dicey, may go either way..... My assessment is base on word on the street.

N. B I would vote Atiku for Presidency and Ogboru For Governor. I believe we need change at both levels and I pray other Deltans do the same

I don't know if u leave within Delta. because on the streets in warri and environs the Urhobo's dnt wont Okowa and are thus rooting for APC all d way.
N. B Personally I wud vote Atiku for presidency and Ogboru for state..... I which other Deltans can think like me
PoliticsAPC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by sebali(op):
I reside in Warri South LGA (warri precisely) bt work around Delta Central(Urhobo speaking area of Delta State).
The Urhobo's have the highest voting strength in the state with 8 LGA and they don't want Okowa to continue. A vast majority on the streets are for Ogboru (APC Gubernatorial Candidates). This is posing a big problem for PDP in Delta State as the average urhobo man thinks a vote for Atiku would increase Okowa's chances of clinching the state, so many though would agree with you that Buhari hasn't performed but they think a Vote for Buhari is a Vote for Ogboru. Simply put APC on the street leads in Delta Central which happens to have the highest voting strength in the state.
Now Delta south has 3 tribes; Itsekiri, Isoko and Ijaw. Here is a battle ground as the Itsekiri thinks it's their turn to produce the zones senator(The Isoko's has, James manager is presently there is Ijaw). Now in warri main town within Delta South the Itsekiri's(a minority tribe though) are rooting for Uduaghan for senate and thus rooting for Buhari. Within the riverine are many Itsekiri villages that have produced shocking numbers during past election.
The tussle for who produces the next senator between the Itsekiri's and Ijaw's may divide the PDP's presidential vote in Delta South(Itsekiri's on one side, the Ijaw's on the other side and the Isoko's in the middle).
I hate to say this because a win for Buhari is a step backward but if the reality on the streets in warri and all of delta central region e. g ughelli, sapele, Jeddo etc transcends into votes Buhari would get up to 50% of the votes in Delta State. Not out of love but because of the yearning for a change of government within the state and a touch of tribal politics.
TravelMan Made Hold Up At Military Post(beat) by sebali(op): 4:41pm On Oct 18, 2018
Went To Ughelli last week From Warri.
On reaching the Military beat just at the entrance of Ughelli we meet a traffic jam and was there for about 30mins. I Travel through Ughelli once in a while and this was strange because this particular military post use to see an almost seamless flow of traffic. But Something was new. The area leading to the military stand itself had been rearranged in such a way that about 200ft from the stand had been turned into a one lane(the road is actually a two lane, dual carriageway). Tires and drums had been used to block one lane completely so we all had to follow a single file laced with at least three logs at short intervals to further slow down the traffic. The drums are arranged in such a way that you have to switch lanes to exist the military post. To worsen it all, immediately after the last sets of drums is a huge pothole that forces all to go slow or damage your car.
I couldn't help myself but complain about the inconvenience of this arrangement and was told by the driver, backed by another commuter that it's a deliberate move to halt traffic, so as to make it easier for vendors on the road to sell their stuff to on coming vehicles and that both the vendors and the soldiers at the post are in on it, as every vendor along that post gives the soldiers ₦200 everyday, in turn the soldiers create the hold up to help improve sales.
Though I can't confirm if this is true, but I've seen the Nigerian soldier do worse(a soldier at a post once stopped me and my oga and asked us for fuel money, we gave him ₦500 and like a police man he pocketed the money).
Pls share your experience on military beats(post) in your locality, cos for me I don't see it's usefulness other than delay commuters (as the soldiers seat down while we wriggle through their obstacles. They don't check nothing)

To answer this question, ponder or answer this first; then extrapolate your answer to your question. Got it?

.....what is your proof that any great writers with the likes of Shakespeare or Stephen King or JK Rowling personally knows each and everyone of their book or movie characters well- that includes the heros and the villians alike?

To take it even further;

Does it matter what these characters believe or think about the existence of their creators? Are the opinions of these characters regarding the existence of their creators relevant?

Conclusion: we are all actors and actresses with various characters in this grand non fiction playwright called life -with God as the author, director, editor and producer- AND the critic, mind you.

Sobering thought, no?
Wrong, these characters are inanimate. Ur comparison is flawed

ElsonMorali:
Lemme ask you this, are you afraid of death?

You should understand that death is not the end of life. It's just a transition, a transformation of sorts.

Wars happen because God has bequeathed man with freewill. It's not God's fault if we decide to use our freewill for evil.

Natural disasters will always happen. Same with diseases.

The space we occupy in this realm is a temporary one. Nobody is meant to stay here for all eternity. So, death is a part of the contract we signed (so to speak) when we were clothed with flesh and sent to the physical/material realm.
U missed my point. U said nothing happens unless God conceives or permits it.. So with or without our free will we can only go to war or get involved in a natural disaster if and only if God allows it to happen. My question is why would a merciful God allow evil to befall his creations all d time
Christianity EtcRe: What's Your Proof God Knows You Personally. by sebali(op): 12:39pm On May 27, 2018
ElsonMorali:
I get that. But you need to keep developing that concept of God further. Don't shy away from books written by great Christian scholars like Thomas Aquinas and co. You'll learn a lot from them.

You'll realize that God is not only the ultimate Cause of all things, He remains the only reason why everything in existence continues to be in existence.

In a way we all exist in the Mind of God.

That is why it is impossible to say stuffs like "God has forgotten me". If he forgets you, you cease to exist anywhere and everywhere.

He holds and keeps all things above the level of nothingness.

To say God does not know about the 2,325,228,467th grain of sand on the Miami Beach is to imply that God's knowledge is defective.

If God doesn't know His creatures, then he isn't God.

Not only does He know them all, He's constantly "thinking" of them always otherwise if he doesn't they'll cease to exist (NB: I used the word "thinking" for God, but it is inadequate because no human descriptors can be sufficiently applied to Him)

Every drop of rain, every grain of sand, every ant, every mosquito, every star, every planet in the galaxies, every strand of hair on your body, every thought in your mind, every creature that has existed, is existing and will exist forevermore are all contained as just one thought in God's Mind.

You can't hide from him. He is everywhere and He's nowhere.

He is always in the present, yet the past has not passed for Him and He's already in the future waiting for us to get there.

Everything that has happened, that is happening and that will ever happen are all contained in the Eye of God.

So, don't limit Him with your human intelligence.

Even the most brilliant minds of men put together can't ever compare to that of the lowliest angels. Yet the Seraphim, the ones closest to God who contemplate Him every single moment for aeons can never hope to know God fully for all eternity.

That is our God.

Keep seeking Him in Truth.
Ur submission is that God conceived every natural disaster and all bloody wars that ever took place. Since God must conceive and approve, otherwise nothing is possible. My dear, pls answer this, WHY WOULD GOD KILL IS OWN HANDIWORK? A MERCIFUL GOD AT THAT.

I have asked this question to two "Good Christians" and both of them couldn't give me a satisfactory answer.
I am asking the Christians and Muslims alike in the house. What is your proof, God knows you personally; He knows your name, sex, age, your habits, when wake up and go to bed etc. As in He knows all about you(or every single human in details).
Note: Do not attempt to give any of the following or it's like as a proof.
1. I wake every morning without knowing how?
2. He provides for me.
3. Am healthy etc.
These are not proves because it happens to everyone; saints and demons alike; theist and atheist. So whats your proof as a theist that God Knows You On A Personal level.
