It's no news that some churches would not wed couples if the bride is noticeably pregnant e. g Redeem. In my Parish(am a Catholic) a sister was rejected as choirmaster because she has a child out of wedlock(this is a lady in her mid 30s) Agreed, true Christians are suppose to abstain from sex before marriage bt now the deed is done. Is it not better to wed these couples then reject them. Do we rather the lady in my choir committed an abortion, keeps her secret to herself and becomes choirmaster. I think these kind of stigmatisation is actually promoting abortion because girls who go ahead and give birth are shamed while those who abort in secret can even join in shaming their peers. |

keryj:Sista u ve spoken my mind. Just to add. Many people think Jonathan lost because he was weak and not because our vote counted against him. Nigerians believe incumbents must win, thus if Buhari is successfully voted out the people would henceforth believe that vote counts. This would strengthen our democracy and put political office holder's in check knowing that if u don't perform u get only 4yrs. |
According to psychologist, 80% of the things we fear will never happen to us... Therefore fear is an illusion. The root of your problem is fear, and self dislike and this has one cure; confront your fears. S Start by doing the things u re really afraid of doing because you feel people would laugh at you. 1. Go to talk to girls... You see any girl that interest you, start a simple conversation. If she rejects you move on to the next interesting girl and each time you succeed(have good conversation with a girl) count it as success. Success is one good way to overcome fear. So next time you fail you simply refer back to a successful discuss u had with a girl in the past. 2. Make it a habit to listen to people when they talk to you and don't laugh if it isn't funny. Mingle more against your fear.... Stay amongst positive people. 3. Google about BMI(body mass idex). If your BMI is ok by medical standard then your body is ok regardless of what you think...... Be proud of your body make up. 4. Take the first leap.... Show love and affection to your family members. Love begets Love |
garfield1:I don't want him to bt reality on ground suggest he would |
April4th:U missed my point.... No one is voting Uduaghan becos he did a good job as a governor... No. It's tribal politics. The Itsekiri's are insisting its their turn to produce Delta South Senator. So Itsekiri's would vote for Uduaghan, Urhobo's in delta South would vote for Uduaghan while the Ijaw's would vote for Manager...... The winner depends on who the Isoko votes for. Also tompolo is no longer as influential as he use to be. GEJ is no longer in ABUJA |
americanson:Am not rooting for Buhari... Infact I would love 4 him to gt zero vote in Delta State bt reality on the streets is saying the Urhobos and Itsekiris would vote for buhari because dey want Okowa out and Uduaghan as senator respectively. Dey think a vote for APC at federal level means a win for APC at state level |
soliddust2020:Are you sure you are within the Urhobo area of Delta State.... Cos i use to think like you until i started interacting on a personal level with Urhobos within their area. My job carries me around warri and it's environs so am not telling about her say bt first had information. |
otuekong1:Ogboru would take Delta Central, if he can gt half of the votes from Delta south(Isoko and Itsekiri block). Then he wins |
kingkakaone:The odds favour Ogboru cos on a free and fair basest Ogboru would sweep Delta central.... Urhobos do not believe in any rotation policy, they believe the governors seat is their right as the majority tribe in delta state. Who be Ejele? to deliver Warri south, he is a new comer with politics who won't move mountains. Sick Leo Ogor or another one. Leo Ogor has being abroad for abt a year.... He is sick and won his pry election in absential. He can do nothing bro |
BIAFRONIGERIAN:Oghara is cool. Remains Ibori's strong hold. No Gospel beats Urhobo gospel. Especially when you have experienced clappers and a good bassist |
Abfinest007:This time it would be harder for PDP to have the smooth sailing rigging they use to enjoy in the state because the likes of Senator Omoagege, APC federal are on the other side. |
kingkakaone:Do you leave in Delta state? Cos on the street in warri and it's environs e. g Jeddo, Udu etc the Urhobo's are rooting for APC. Surely These 3 LGA would deliver for APC; Ughelli North and South and Udu... Uvwie is dicey, may go either way..... My assessment is base on word on the street. N. B I would vote Atiku for Presidency and Ogboru For Governor. I believe we need change at both levels and I pray other Deltans do the same |
kingkakaone:I don't know if u leave within Delta. because on the streets in warri and environs the Urhobo's dnt wont Okowa and are thus rooting for APC all d way. N. B Personally I wud vote Atiku for presidency and Ogboru for state..... I which other Deltans can think like me |
I reside in Warri South LGA (warri precisely) bt work around Delta Central(Urhobo speaking area of Delta State). The Urhobo's have the highest voting strength in the state with 8 LGA and they don't want Okowa to continue. A vast majority on the streets are for Ogboru (APC Gubernatorial Candidates). This is posing a big problem for PDP in Delta State as the average urhobo man thinks a vote for Atiku would increase Okowa's chances of clinching the state, so many though would agree with you that Buhari hasn't performed but they think a Vote for Buhari is a Vote for Ogboru. Simply put APC on the street leads in Delta Central which happens to have the highest voting strength in the state. Now Delta south has 3 tribes; Itsekiri, Isoko and Ijaw. Here is a battle ground as the Itsekiri thinks it's their turn to produce the zones senator(The Isoko's has, James manager is presently there is Ijaw). Now in warri main town within Delta South the Itsekiri's(a minority tribe though) are rooting for Uduaghan for senate and thus rooting for Buhari. Within the riverine are many Itsekiri villages that have produced shocking numbers during past election. The tussle for who produces the next senator between the Itsekiri's and Ijaw's may divide the PDP's presidential vote in Delta South(Itsekiri's on one side, the Ijaw's on the other side and the Isoko's in the middle). I hate to say this because a win for Buhari is a step backward but if the reality on the streets in warri and all of delta central region e. g ughelli, sapele, Jeddo etc transcends into votes Buhari would get up to 50% of the votes in Delta State. Not out of love but because of the yearning for a change of government within the state and a touch of tribal politics. |
Went To Ughelli last week From Warri. On reaching the Military beat just at the entrance of Ughelli we meet a traffic jam and was there for about 30mins. I Travel through Ughelli once in a while and this was strange because this particular military post use to see an almost seamless flow of traffic. But Something was new. The area leading to the military stand itself had been rearranged in such a way that about 200ft from the stand had been turned into a one lane(the road is actually a two lane, dual carriageway). Tires and drums had been used to block one lane completely so we all had to follow a single file laced with at least three logs at short intervals to further slow down the traffic. The drums are arranged in such a way that you have to switch lanes to exist the military post. To worsen it all, immediately after the last sets of drums is a huge pothole that forces all to go slow or damage your car. I couldn't help myself but complain about the inconvenience of this arrangement and was told by the driver, backed by another commuter that it's a deliberate move to halt traffic, so as to make it easier for vendors on the road to sell their stuff to on coming vehicles and that both the vendors and the soldiers at the post are in on it, as every vendor along that post gives the soldiers ₦200 everyday, in turn the soldiers create the hold up to help improve sales. Though I can't confirm if this is true, but I've seen the Nigerian soldier do worse(a soldier at a post once stopped me and my oga and asked us for fuel money, we gave him ₦500 and like a police man he pocketed the money). Pls share your experience on military beats(post) in your locality, cos for me I don't see it's usefulness other than delay commuters (as the soldiers seat down while we wriggle through their obstacles. They don't check nothing)

Xiadnat:Wrong, these characters are inanimate. Ur comparison is flawed |
ElsonMorali:U missed my point. U said nothing happens unless God conceives or permits it.. So with or without our free will we can only go to war or get involved in a natural disaster if and only if God allows it to happen. My question is why would a merciful God allow evil to befall his creations all d time |
ElsonMorali:Ur submission is that God conceived every natural disaster and all bloody wars that ever took place. Since God must conceive and approve, otherwise nothing is possible. My dear, pls answer this, WHY WOULD GOD KILL IS OWN HANDIWORK? A MERCIFUL GOD AT THAT. |
Outofsync:Wats ur proof He provides 4 u, specifically |
ElsonMorali:I believe in the existing of a supreme being( God as we generally call it). I just do not believe He focuses on each individual on earth. I believe their are laid down rules like; karma, gravity etc that affect us all regardless of what we believe. |
RadicallyBlunt:Pls define ur relationships with God so that we who do not enjoy such can understand your position |
I have asked this question to two "Good Christians" and both of them couldn't give me a satisfactory answer. I am asking the Christians and Muslims alike in the house. What is your proof, God knows you personally; He knows your name, sex, age, your habits, when wake up and go to bed etc. As in He knows all about you(or every single human in details). Note: Do not attempt to give any of the following or it's like as a proof. 1. I wake every morning without knowing how? 2. He provides for me. 3. Am healthy etc. These are not proves because it happens to everyone; saints and demons alike; theist and atheist. So whats your proof as a theist that God Knows You On A Personal level. |
LifestyleTonite:Yeah.... Years 4rm now men would allowed at a separate section, a few years more men and women would be allowed in with lesser restrictions |
The long walk to freedom just started |
Let's Join hands and kick out Bubu..... He failed and must be kicked out.. #GetYourPVC |

karferguso:Go to Ibadan where u permanently reside. Coz if u register in Anambra, every election yr u must either go back to Anambra to vote or register all over Again |

madridguy:He must be on brain reset leave. |
BankeSmalls:My sister to defend Bubu presently is an Herculean task....... Its Rationally Impossible. |
