Obviously you just joined in the social media E-warrior frenzy,so i am not surprised an event that featured on the internet over 3 years ago is NEWS to you. Now that you've suceeded in defending her in your puny mind, send her a PM. just maybe, you'll get the full attention you are craving for. |

nabeans: Lol, you really came here with an AR-15 on your shoulder. If you observed, right after my post, anticipating that you would raise the issue of the article's date, I immediately posted an update of 2018.
https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/25/xiaomi-aims-bolster-mobile-phone-arm-new-rd-complex-shenzhen/
The whole purpose of this, is not to try and win any arguments but for elucidation, iron sharpens iron, we learn from each other with shared knowledge and information that's why I sent the articles. And for you to say "I don't think past events influence the future", I don't think that compliments the education you obviously have. I mean, you went to school in the PAST and were taught to read and write and that obviously influenced your FUTURE right up to the present such that you can write and reason as you have. R& takes years to start and yield results and it's on the basis of those results that production commences, that's why you have pilots and prototypes. So you build on your past foundation to erect your future enduring structures. Cut yourself some slack and calm down. There is no argument to be won here.We like our product, mid-range and high- end depending on each person's finances and priorities. That's why we set up the thread in the first place and called it the Xiaomi Thread. I won't barge into your house where you and your family members are infront of your OLED and call it and by extension all of you "garbage" and expect you to bake and present me a welcoming Chocolate cake. Stand down bro... Nice,at least an "actual" xiaomi fan with credible informations i can grab a few knowledgeable ideas from.. But still, what exactly did xiaomi innovate in terms of hardware??...... Bezel-less display design? i won't stand down!..not now. xiaomi isn't there yet, innovation wise! |

henry007: Nokia 7 was released in October 2017, 5 months ago. Nokia 7 plus(a plus variant) which should be announced soon has no known predecessor and as a result doesn't fit into the equation. hian! so in your ideology, the "Nokia 7" Plus is an entirely different device?! |

seyema: Nawaaoo. I can't even imagine the level of attention people are giving this attention seeker abi na by force to use xiaomi? You like Nokia, then go and buy it. I'm satisfied with xiaomi for now. Tomorrow, I might move to Samsung or oneplus, it's no fuckin body's business. Please let us ignore that slowpoke called section80 Dude, you can't always be stupid all the time for absolutely no reason.Trying to act like a blizzard on this thread out of the blue when in reality you are just a snowflake.it's a sunny day and i don't need this BS. keep it moving, will you!?! |

Holuwaxheun: Then u are absolutely myopic to have compared Redmi Note 5 pro with Samsung A8. Nonsense... U could have make a little sense if u compared A8 with Oneplus 5t, Mi6 and Mi note 3.
U got no point at all Cos I can see u are a confused fellow. Mtchew Oluwaseun is a yoruba name,i know the yoruba tribe not to be this mentally inept as you are portraying, still you rather chose to be oblivious of the fact that xiaomi Mi Note 3 and the Galaxy A8(2018) are Mid-range devices. in your quest for pettiness, you failed to notice that the xiaomi Mi6 and OnePlus 5T are both "flagship" devices, yet the subject topic is solely on "Mid-range" devices. you obviously lack comprehension skills. Nairaland alone won't feed you with all the information you need. Just Think two steps up next time please! |

ubev01: Ok, let's compare j7 and A8, they are both midrangers But the Galaxy J7 Pro is the "apparent" predecessor(the A-series shouldn't be left out) of the A8(2018). Also, both devices are from same parent OEM,will it be justifyable to compare both devices? |

Mfunkynation: young boy, if u no sabi section 20, i believe u better freeze ur queer fingerz Dude, if your existence revolves around Nairaland forum ,kindly keep it to yourself..i don't care what you've got to type on here.Don't try too hard to be heard..shïts so unappealing. |

eleojo23: Oh come on! The buyers are not kids. Most if not all, have done their research. We have a lot of people who ask questions here before placing their orders. Even if the person is not on this thread, if such person can come across Xiaomi and even go ahead to order it, then the person must have done some basic research. but i observed alot on this thread for long now.Buyers don't really enquire more on these products..i have also read on this thread complaints as well after purchase..these people are not kids but their reason for buying may be attributed to the hype, members here give these xiaomi products while others could be from recommendations. so they just want to "use" these products because of "testimonies" and its affordability! i may be wrong, but this is what i can deduce from my time on this thread since 2016. |

henry007: You're stuck on disputing the actual fact that it is unannounced. We have seen the leaks. Since you were comparing upgrades between 2018 models and their 2017 predecessors, pls tell me, what phone is the predecessor of the Nokia 7 Plus? obviously, the Nokia 7! I'm not disputing any fact here..okay, MWC 2018 is just 7days away. HMD Global will make the announcement on said D-day! |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Section80(m): 5:40pm On Feb 17, 2018 |
AlvaroMorata: Nokia 7 plus will go for as high as $400 - $500, same for the A8 (2018), Note 5 pro goes for $200-$250 and you want all 3 to be the same spec-wise.. Dont tell me to forget about pricing because you dont expect Samsung Galaxy J7 to have similar specs of mi mix 2 or mi note 3 i disagree.HMD Global knows better than to sell the Nokia 7 plus for that amount you quoted.it will sell lower Again Mi Mix 2 is a "flagship" device...Galaxy J7 is a "mid-range" device, know the difference. Samsung devices are overpriced which is old news, but don't pit the Mi Mix 2 and J7 in same category...Don't! |

Dam5reey: If you know this much about phones and It's target audience then start a phone company to compete with Xiaomi...
Most people here complained Note 4 or 4x was not an upgrade to Redmi Note 3 pro in terms of processors..
Today most user in Nigeria bought Note 4, same Note 4 broke records in India, making Xiaomi top in last quater of 2017..
All I will say is if Xiaomi, don't produce what you want, take the next flight to China and request for your own specs go with yuour own design and you will come back with your dream phone...
Xiaomi understand their Game and are playing the cards well... Peace... let them stay put and continue playing...in the next decade, they will become obsolete!! |

Holuwaxheun: Hello bro. If u are ready to be transparent, kindly compare Xiaomi high end phones with the Nokia 7 plus, Samsung A8.
It's quite funny for u to say price should not be put into consideration while comparing devices. From ur statement, u are just like u can compare Samsung J7 with iPhone 7 since both were produced in same year. oh God, this is myopic!.implying that i compare a "flagship" device with a "mid-range" device doesn't come off right. And Apple doesn't make "mid-range" devices so comparing an Iphone 7 with a galaxy J7 is overly complex to put in context, say galaxy S8 then that's a contest! |
