nothing strange here lots of people do it. I do it as well though not munching on it all, I crack or chip some part into my mouth while the rest get done.

Not really strange to me though, sometimes I prefer eating noodles raw and just drink water or tea with it, mine isn't all the time, just cravings that comes sometimes, for the rice own I loved it more when I was much younger but in little quantity and not all the time.

Others are I love eating Pepper and tomato seeds, I love using my teeth to grind them.

When the hunter become the hunted. These past couple of weeks is by God grace am surviving. From battling the intenst heat, dodging bullet gwo gwo gwo gwo ngwo and calming the hungry worms staging protest in my stomach. It not been easy. Genesis of my delimar started, when some weeks back HQ said we should pack our bags and equipments we are going to Port Harcourt for reinforcement and reconnaissance.

Before 0600 hours we have already load our personal effects on the TATA (lorry), while we wait for buses HQ called we should stand down no movement again, by then our personal effects (containing our dry rations, tent, blankets, gas cooker e.t.c) has gone far. I went to mess (kitchen) to collect lunch they said "no food for us" that how we started fasting.

On a normal day I don't use to eat food from the mess I cook or I eat my dry rations to avoid food poison. My gas cooker and pot by now would have reached Port Harcourt by now. After much deliberation and consideration, base said they would only give us lunch. The lunch they gave me that day was the final nail hammer into my torment.
For the next two days I was having serious running stomach and pass piosion fart to kill an elephant. I thought it was normal fart I want to fart, I adjust and set my bum bum only to discover I have shit on my pants. I had to wash my uniform and tire wrapper. Everybody was just starting at me like Ashawo.
As I was waiting for my uniform to dry (advantage of Borno sun) that was the time BH said they should attack our base. Come and see how I jump inside trench to take cover. It turns out be false alarm. That was the time uncle snake decide to come and find food and what food tastes better than my fresh laps. Without wasting time I expanded two rounds to kill uncle snake. A feet that was not easy considering uncle snake was cunning. Fire ready, snake meat roasted at least it will reach me five days or more, no more watering beans.

Indeed, it gives me a real blast when I come across OGs and folks like you who still remember the popular sitcoms and iconic movies we used to watch back in the day (from the late 1970s but really blasting off from especially the early 1980s). "Good Times," "Different Strokes," "Sanford and Son," "Knight Rider," etc.

The Knight Rider theme song and the husky male voice-over in the intro of Knight Rider was/is legendary. I had to download some of the past movie trailers of Knight Rider episodes and documentaries from YT on my laptops a few years ago just to reconnect with the memorable past. That Knight Rider car called KITT was indeed legendary... A predictor of the self-driving cars we have as of today. It literally gives me goosebumps when I see how far mankind has gone in engineering self-driving vehicles that can "nearly" replicate what we have with the iconic KITT of the Knight Rider series.

Big props to you bruv for keeping the memories alive. Enjoy the rest of your day!

The lady in question is a South African citizen according to citizenship laws of the country. Whether she is of Zulu extract, Mozambican heritage or Nigerian blood, BY LAW she qualifies to be in that contest regardless. If the pageant wants to restrict people of descent other than the major groups in SA then they should create such laws otherwise they know it will be discriminatory.

What you are seeing being demonstrated by most south africans is a shift to tribal and nationalist sentiments because of the influx of foreign nationals into the country. A fear of loosing their indentity and "first place" in society i.e. a replacement theory being peddled.

What must be understood in this context is that the constitution of South Africa is one of the most liberal and thus creates a conundrum between citizenship rights and human rights. Therefore the law and not sentiment, must take precedence in this matter otherwise you will have bigotry, tribalism and xenophobia be the other of the day.

The law says she is a South African citizen by descent as a result of her mother's citizenship and not "ethnicity" therefore she qualifies to particiapate in the pageant.
