Politics / LAUTECH Crisis: Oyo Assembly Directs Commissioners To Submit by Segmilz: 2:32pm On Sep 30, 2016
the Oyo State House of Assembly has directed Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Adeniyi Olowofela, and his counterpart from Ministry of Justice, Mr. Oluwaseun Abimbola, to submit reports within the next two weeks on how to resolve the crisis rocking Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).
The directive was against the backdrop of the strike embarked on by the institution since June 9, over non-payment of salaries, which has totally paralysed academic activities in the institution, as well as the way forward on the crisis being generated by the joint-ownership of the institution by the Oyo and Osun States.
The assembly at a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Mr. Michael Adeyemo, told the commissioners that the reports must have two parts. The first part should contain short-term solution to the lingering crisis that would ensure return of students and workers to LAUTECH as soon as possible.
The second part of the reports, according to the lawmakers, should contain the review of the joint-ownership of institution by Oyo and Osun States, and recommend ways by which Oyo State could become sole owner of LAUTECH, which was said to be a long-term solution to the crisis in the institution.
The two commissioners, Olowofela and Abimbola, who appeared before the lawmakers yesterday, had been summoned last week Thursday to appear before the house with their reports. But the duo said they were unable to prepare the reports due to their active participation in the ongoing verification exercise for civil servants in the state. They asked for more time for them to prepare the reports.
Daily Sun gathered that an apex indigenous association in Ogbomoso, the host community of LAUTECH, has two weeks ago asked natives of Osun State working in the university to vacate the institution and should not return so that Oyo State could own the institution alone for proper funding.
The Oyo State House of Assembly had last week adopted a motion that Osun State should disengage from the joint-ownership of the institution. The motion, entitled: ‘Reviewing the Joint Ownership of LAUTECH: A Step Towards Sole Ownership by Oyo State Government,’ was moved by Olawumi Oladeji, representing Ogbomoso North, and nine other lawmakers....................................

Politics / How Nigeria Can Survive Recession - El-rufai by Segmilz: 12:57pm On Sep 30, 2016
Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has listed various ways state governors can both survive the economic recession and become less dependent on Federal Government.
Speaking with Daily Sun at the opening of the World Pension Summit (WPS) summit in Abuja Tuesday, el-Rufai advised his counterparts to immediately flush out ghost workers and ghost pensioners using the biometric verification method.
He also asked them to reduce their aides and other personal staff; improve their tax collection machinery while investing in healthcare and agriculture.
“As governors, we need to focus on cutting costs, reducing the machinery of government and the size so that we can live within our means. We also need to look at our state economies and find a way of not relying heavily on federation account. That means developing agriculture, developing mining, improving our tax collection mechanism so that we generate more revenue from taxes. “We also have to focus on education and healthcare because we’ve a growing population. Nigeria is forecast to be the third most populous country in the world by 2050 with a population of about 450 million people. That is not a bad thing if that population is educated. The challenge is for the state governments that are directly responsible for the provision of social.........................

Computers / Pls, This Is An Emergency PC (HP 655) Problem. All Helps Are Most Appreciated by Segmilz: 10:01am On Aug 25, 2016
whatsapp no: 08185100494
2 nights ago, i pickup my system (HP 655) to class to do some research and getting there, I tried unlocking my system password with the same password I've been using since about 32 months ago but it was responding "password error" allthrough the number of times I tried. I used the on-screen keyboard to inpute the same password and I had access.
I used Microsoft word to test all the keys on the keyboard and discovered that key "B,G,H, and N" was mal-inputing.
key G - displaying on screen as "GB"
key N - displaying on screen as "nn"
key B - displaying on screen as "BH"
and so as key "H" malfunctioning with the cursor moving itself sometimes.
I took the system for keyboard servicing and it was serviced but inspite, this particular problem persisted.
I changed the keyboard with new 3 different keyboards but in-spite, the problem persisted.
I used my keyboard on another system of my own model and it worked PERFECTLY.

Pls, what could be the problem or cause?
what should I do next?

Politics / Re: Yahaya Bello Barred From Traveling Abroad, Ordered To Return Home - Kogi Reports by Segmilz: 9:05am On Jun 29, 2016
For all those blabing there mouth regards bello traveling document being seized, follow news line before posting annoying comment all in the name of talking; its not compulsory u talk.

Where were your eyes and ears when bello forcefully by the help of the soldier banned 20 of 25 legislature from seat leaving himself with 5 legislature to govern a whole state of 21 local governments?

Where were thoses your eyes and ears when bailout was given to him but yet holding back to pay the labours their salaries from January till date leaving the public in abject poverty and afterward going to AIT to announce to the federal and public "He has paid All workers in the state"?

leaving all of these behind, he wants to travel to Saudi Arabia to pray bcs god is not in Nigeria ba?

dont just come here to post rubbish comment when your backup facts are not concrete enough.
if he is not ready to be reasonable, let the federal government be unreasonable to him as until he start being responsible. and as a matter of fact, that which the vice president did was not too much. he did what he's suppose to do politely according him with respect

what more better could he had wished he had gotten?
