Thanks All.

My passport was returned yesterday with visa stamped. Although I sent my application to London visa office, but I did not include my original UK resident permit in my document, hence the delay. I sent the office an email inquiring application update, and they said I should have included my original resident permit.

So I would advice that you send email to the visa office you applied to get an update about your application if the processing time has elapsed.
Cheers.

Congratulations!!

This thread have been very helpful, thanks to all the contributors here.

I want to ask, what are the scholarships available in Ireland, that one can apply for?

Your input will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Scholarships are not that available for master's international students.. most scholarships are most given to PhD students. Even citizens don't really get scholarships for masters. Except u are really good

Hi Segun, please I want to know if there is any restriction on carrying dried foods such as chicken or fish while traveling into Ireland. Have you had any experience with this?

Dried foods should be fine. Just have to seal and package it very well. Cos when I visited Nigeria 2 Years ago I was able to bring back dried foods. Just make sure u submit them(the word I wanted to use just ran out of my head) u know the ones that don't take with u on the plane. Don't forget that. Any food at all. Should go with u on the plane.. even if it's small.. no matter the quantity.

Thanks

Hello I just submitted my application for Ireland study visa on the 26Th August 2024, while resumption at TUD is on the 16th… I am hopeful that a positive decision comes early.

Also I didn’t make an extra copy of the bank statement i submitted to keep personally, does that matter or is it a document requested for at the port of entry too?

No they don't require bank statement at point of entry. Just your visa, school stuffs reservation as far as I know. Good luck with your application

Hello,

Thanks for your inputs this far, please I need more clarity on this issue of coming with dependents.

I have an agent who keeps telling me to apply to Ireland as they permit relocation with a dependent, even as per our discussions today, the agency still insists on this..

Please how true is this?

Thanks

You can also bring your dependants if u are coming through work permit route..

Please I have a question as I couldn’t find a thread for general enquiries.

I live in the UK and I have received a job offer in Ireland, and the employer said they have applied for Critical Skilled work permit. I just want to know if anyone has recently applied for entry visa to Ireland from the UK and how long did it take for the entry visa to be approved? What documents are required and if I would need a copy of the work permit to apply for entry visa since I have employment letter. Also can the entry visa application be fast tracked?

Thanks all.

hey. congratulations on your job offer. yes you would need a copy of the work permit. not sure of other documents u need. but you can check all this online. about fast tracking, there should be something for that, maybe u will just have to pay extra. like i said. you can check online for all these to be sure. thanks

Segunagagu hello all

Can anybody put me through,I think reading from the first page won't give me enough information because of the ever changing rules.

I would want to know if there is a way to relocate to Ireland or Scotland without the education route,I have the finance and everything needed but don't want to school,we are comfortable and would like to set up a business there in the future.

How do I go about it? Just me and my two kids.

Thanks and I appreciate.

For Ireland. If you don't want to school.

1. Through work. If U get a job in Ireland and a company is sponsoring you.

2. Through investment programme. You have to invest at least 500,000 euros in the Irish economy. And U Have stated you have the finance. Please when U Start this. Remember me In your kingdom. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

3. Asylum. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

4. Marry an Irish citizen or have an Irish citizen child

5. If your spouse has a work permit in Ireland. She can bring in you and your kids.

I think those are the ones I know of for now

Cheers

Thank you very much for the response. The truth is that my Dad passed away about 2 months ago, he was meant to be my Sponsor as he had the bulk of the money in his account. Since his passing, we've transferred the money from his account to my Mom's in small amounts (due to the limit of internet banking transfers) and this money will be used for his funeral and other arrangements. This is why we have chosen to use the investment they made together as my Education fund.

Now, since there have been so many transactions in my Mom's account, it may be hard to explain every single lump sum as she herself doesn't remember some of the people who sent her money (because there's no name in the transaction). And also it may be hard to get pay slips as she's a Teacher at a Federal school and they are a bit incompetent.

I'm thinking of submitted her employment letter, my Dad's employment letter, the investment certificate, bank statements + explanation and his death certificate. Do you think this is enough for sponsorship info? Remember that I've already paid full tuition+ Edubond+ $6k personal savings.

In my explanation of fees and funds, do you think I should give them a background of my situation? Like my Dad passing and all. Can I also include evidence of another investment in their names so that they know she's fine even after spending money on me? Thank you.

So Sorry for your father's passing. May his soul rest in perfect peace. You are correct! Just explain everything as U have said it right there. Especially your dad's passing. You don't have to explain all the lump-sum in your mum account. U only have to explain the lumpsums in your own account. Showing those monies coming in. They will correlate it with the way it's coming out of your mum account and entering yours. Also include his death certificate. You will be fine. With all what you have Said up there if U submit all those documents. You will definitely be alright.

And yes !!! Please include all the background of your situation. Like write everything as it happened. Reason is because, U want to get everything right the first Time. You want to get that visa the first Time. Also. If your mom or dad has properties, please include one or two C of O's just to support. Wish you success . Let me know if you need anything else

Hy

Thankyousomuch, yes my husband knows of the rental house, he has been denied twice though he has sent 3 other applications. I really hope they pick us. Another thing is, on their website they said more than one application per person means disqualification.... so i don'tknowif we still stand a chancelike this..... do you know anyone that has been lucky to get a rental house? .
You can keep applying for different ones, as they are posted online. It doesn't matter. They choose by lottery that's why it's hard to get.

Hello Everyone,
I'm planning on studying in Ireland this Sept and about to apply for my visa. The funds I'm using is from an investment my parents made, the money has been liquidated into my acct and I've paid full tuition + Edubond. I also have about $6k in my personal account as extra living expenses. My Mom is my primary sponsor.

Seeing that this is my situation, do I still need to submit a bank statement for her? And if yes, do I also need to show evidence of her employment + other requirements for sponsors (like payslips etc). Or can I just submit her bank statement with explanation and end it there since the money is in my account and has already been used to pay full tuition and Edubond?

Thanks.

Paying full tuition and also using edu bonds is a plus plus. VO will Know you are serious.

Include in a letter explaining that the funds in your account is from an investment your parents made. Make sure U show proof of that investment.

Regarding banks statements. Please include your mum's own as well. Let it show that money movement of the money from her account to your account. Also write a letter stating all these. Dont forget to also explain any large transaction In your account too. They love all these things..they want to know U re not laundering money. Also. If your mother has properties, include the C of Os. Just give them proof that U will be okay during your study and won't want to rely on any support from the government. They want to know that U can pay your rent and feed without even working. Just show them all this and you will be granted Visa easily.

Yes U can include her payslip which will be Very good so they see the name and they know it's truly your mother sponsoring you. The name will also correlate with her bank statements together with your name on all your documents as well..

Thank you so much Segunagagu. I need a 2 bed cause I am moving with my child. I am been checking daft and other sites but they haven't been positive.

Eya. Sorry. The housing situation is crazy. There are houses and apartments but they are just expensive. I am not sure if that's what U will be looking for.

The main One I want to talk about is the cost rental houses which are way cheaper and they are newly built. The only thing for that One is . U have to apply and Also meet the requirements salary wise and other things. You can send me an email so I can tell U about them. Not sure if you know already. But U can Also read about them online.

Thanks

Segun, I want to know because I am considering Ireland, you know I was discussing with you the time you traveled to Ireland newly. I read that I need the full tuition to be paid first,
I want to know before applying…

Most schools in Ireland require U to pay in full. It rare for a school in Ireland to tell U to pay part and complete the rest later. There might be ooo. But I have not seen.

Paying your school fees in full just means Visa will be granted maybe 90% in my own opinion though . For me I feel it's even the best. U don't want to come and start thinking of how to pay school fees. Trust me U don't want that.

Aww
Thanks so much but I have kids, I will therefore need at least a 2 bed flat. I don't mind the location in Ireland, I just need it to be within my budget of 1200 and at most 1500.

Then again is it possible and easy to get a work from home jobs? Like a customer care job. Do you know anyone who does?
Thank you

It depends on what you are coming in with. If it's student Or Work Visa.

Sure U will get houses for that price and space outside Dublin. It's doable
