.... I paid mine through dollar account .. Edu bond got thesame amount of 7010. So yes you can pay through your dollar account. But you have to cover the cost of sender’s and receiver’s charges for them to get that exact amount .
How did u payplsssss... through bank or where??
Travel / Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by Segunagagu(m): 2:06pm On Nov 02, 2018
Guys plss I need ur suggestion..

I wanted to use the education Bond for proof of statement.. unknowingly to me..I thought I can pay with my dollar card.

So I changed the money to Dollars. So wen I registered..I got to know that i can only pay using by bank transfer. Or through the money in my euro account..
and I don't have euro in my euro account. because getting euro is very very very hard...

So I want to ask. If I should just leave the money in my domiciliary dollar account and just use it as proof of funds.. couple with the 2 million I have in my savings account..

So my main question now is. If I can also use my domiciliary dollar bank statement for my visa application with the 8000 Dollars in it...
Thank you.. pls I need ur suggestion fast plssssss..

You are wrong bro. I am here and there are lot of casual/menial jobs for students. Far much than you can ever imagine but the truth is the other guy has to at least 2,000euros with him after sorting out accommodation. The reason is that you aren't allowed to work till you get your GNIB(now called Irish Resident Permit card), as well as registering for PPS too for taxation purpose before one is permitted to work. All these mentioned will take him nothing less than 2 months to achieve on arrival here in Dublin. So the guy who inquired on finance should tighten his seat belt. I am not trying to discourage him though, but I feel it's right for me to say the gospel truth. Life here is strictly OYO. Nobody go send you oo.. Not even fellow Nigerian students.
Kai..nice one bro..

I was on the process of getting a Canadian PR (IELTS written with an overall band 8 score and WES evaluation in progress) when my family advised me to try for Ireland via the Masters program. Now i wish they let me go with my plan. Both countries are great places to seek migration opportunities but if you're like me who would rather do something once and for all, then Canada is a better option. My argument is that:
1. Canada gives you PR as you land.
2. You're not investing heavily in an education that you may not use tomorrow as whatever funds Canada asks for is only to show that you can take care of yourself before you find your footing and coming from people i know personally who have gone, jobs to keep body and soul together comes earlier than imagined.

Ireland requires a great deal of strife and patience and trust me, your stay isn't guaranteed. Fine you get 2 yrs after an MSc. to search for a job but what they don't tell you is the conditions attached like you can't get a permit to do certain jobs which are on the inelligible job list and that certain jobs are critically required, mostly STEM jobs (See attachments). To be honest, i met a lady who just got a job and hasn't finished her Masters but I'll say she's just the odds as I've seen quite many who are still trying to no avail. What they don't also tell you is that your year(s) of residence as a student or on the 2 yrs to look for work doesn't count to time that can be used in the long run to apply for naturalization whereas Canada counts theirs. I've carefully laid out the pros and cons, so choose between slow and sure PR process or fast and unsure PR after much spending. My only regret is that i didn't do all of this research before coming cos we were in a hurry to beat the Sept deadline. I've made up my mind to continue looking at the Canadian PR once i can gather enough funds to show or look at other countries that can guarantee your stay with less spending and effort...in the event that i do not get a job after my Masters and 2 yrs of searching cos I'm seriously averse to illegal migration. Let's not even start with the rigours of registration with the local immigration unlike most countries (like UK) that has your permit waiting once you arrive. Plus the fact that if you have to leave Ireland for a visit you need to get re-entry visas here before else you'll be bounced back at the airport.
Woooooow...am sending u a PM asap...
