Beyonce was recently criticized for lip-syncing The Star Spangled Banner. She had been mum about the whole issue, only replying with a picture of herself with the inscription “Can I live?” on her sweater.

She however prove she could sing when she did an acapella rendition of The Star Spangled Banner at a news conference for the super bowl on Thursday and admitted that she sang to a prerecorded track at Obama’s inauguration.

In her words:

“I am a perfectionist and one thing about me: I practice ’till my feet bleed. I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra it was a live television show … Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check… I did not feel comfortable singing live.”

She says that she is prepared and ready to sing at the Super Bowl and will “absolutely be singing live.”

It was breaking as at the time of filing this report sir. Besides it is breaking also, perhaps because Timbo is a very big boy on his own and shouldn't be signing under Jay Z.

How do you know your relationship is heading for the rocks? It’s hard to tell because every tension seems to want to lead to a break up. Often times people capitalize on current rifts to make conclusions on whether they want out of a relationship or if they may continue. If you discover most of these signs in your relationship, you have to act fast and decide on whether you want to save it or break it.

1. Communication is usually tensed and ends in a heated argument. Sometimes there’s a lot to say but no one is willing to say anything. Silence is usually like the best cloth to wear when you are around each other.

2. Time becomes a constraint. One party is either too busy for the other or is unwilling to spare or sacrifice for the other. When time is spent to help, it is done grudgingly.

3. Phone calls and emails become one-sided. Someone does it all the time. You keep in touch more than the other. He/she is making negligible attempts to keep in contact. Anyone who loves or values you will find ways to talk to you, even if it’s just a text message.

4. Going out? Nah… bad idea. He or she would rather not be around you. So many excuses for not wanting to go to a certain place with you. Your partner is probably trying to unhinge himself or herself and going out together has a way of making the public feel “you guys are great together”

5. Someone lies too much. Haha expect it. It is normal for one person to try and conceal so many things from the other when he or she feels discontent in the relationship. You only open your heart to people you really care for or trust and vice versa.

6. When you get lied to several times, there is a probability that the liar doesn’t trust the person being lied to. For instance if I cheat on you, I would expect that you cheat on me too or you had tendencies of doing the same. A situation whereby the trust becomes eroded and almost invincible means that the relationship may be about to hit the rocks.

7. The friends and family don’t connect with you like before. The truth is that before your relationship crashes, your spouse has talked about it to his closest friends or siblings. While some might be good enough to act like nothing happens, others will not hesitate to show their dismay.

8. Meet my friend. This becomes like the favorite line when you are introduced. What happened to the days of “meet my super-duper-teeny-weeny-honey-butterscotch-chocolatey pie”. It’s now nothing more than a bland expression and a gesticulation followed by the words “my friend”.

9. Kissing? Hugging? Hah! They may still be there but not from the heart. Although you most likely than not would encounter withdrawal when you try to make moves. There’s nothing wrong if you both of you don’t show intimacy by kissing and the likes. However, if a normal display of affection becomes abnormal, a lot is wrong.

10. Someone gets agitated because the other party is fiddling with his or her phone. You playfully pick up his or her phone and notice some discomfort, then your partner might be hiding something that you shouldn’t know about. Someone might be having a sidekick or you may be one. It’s still too early to conclude.

Jay-Z has finally wooed the super-producer to Roc Nation. Timbaland who had been producing for Jay-Z for the last 15 years....all the way back to the "*igga What, *igga Who" and "Big Pimpin" days joined the Jay-Z family officially today.

The BK rapper took to his own Life+Times website today to make the announcement with the above pic saying:

"Roc Nation welcomes TIMBALAND to the family."

Timbaland also produced Justin Timberlake's new "Suit & Tie" track that Jay is featured on. No word on if Timbaland will simply be managed by Roc Nation or if he will be totally a part of the label.

Last week I put up a post on 10 Things Women Say, And What They Really Mean! and the feedback was quite interesting. I initially received a lot of emails from guys saying well my girlfriend says this or this a lot, please translate, then I started getting emails from women saying, that men are guilty of the same thing… i.e saying things they don’t mean.

Anyhow after a fair bit of research, I present to you 10 Things Men Say, And What They Really Mean! for the ladies out there that need help with their Martian to Venusian translations.

Please note: These translations are not 100% scientifically proven, but are close enough. A panel of my male friends agreed (ok were coerced) to help with verifying the accuracy of the translations below.

Venusian translation: I may or may not call you at some point between now and six months from now.

Venusian translation: I messed up - hurt and infuriated my ex so much, that she turned into a demon.

Venusian translation: That’s totally what I meant, but now that I see it has made you angry I’m going to try my best to wriggle out of this hot spot.

“It’s a long story”
Venusian translation: The story makes me look bad, and I haven’t quite figured out how to tell it without making myself look bad, so let’s leave it.

Rapper Rick Ross escaped what could be termed an assassination attempt on his life this morning when a gunman opened fire on his car. In a bid to avoid being shot at, his Rolls Royce rammed into a building in Ft. Lauderale, Florida. However, neither he nor the lady that was in the car with him was hit.

According to local reports, "dozens" of shots were fired at the vehicle around 5AM -- none of which hit the Rolls. Several buildings in the area WERE struck by gunfire.

Cops say another vehicle had pulled up next to the Rolls ... when someone inside opened fire on Ross' car.

Ross' Rolls reportedly crashed into a building while trying to speed away from the gunfire.

So far, cops have not made any arrests in connection with the shooting -- and have not identified any suspects.

Local10.com obtained a photo from the crash scene, showing Ross' smashed-up Rolls-Royce being towed away.

A controversial new Facebook app shows users of the social network which of their online friends are prepared to meet up for no-strings attached sexual encounters.

Bang With Friends claims to help users ‘anonymously find friends who are down for the night’ by pairing up any that are both attracted to each other.

However, doubt has been cast over how anonymous the app really is, since it has an apparent loophole which shows prospective users which of their friends are already using it before signing up.

Bang Your Friends: A new Facebook app claims to offer an anonymous method of finding which of your online friends are prepared to meet you for sexual liaisons
Logging into the app shows a screen filled with the profile pictures of your Facebook friends of the opposite sex – it appears to be designed exclusively for heterosexual pairings.


Beneath each of the profiles listed sits a button labelled ‘Down to Bang’ which users can click to indicate that they are sexually interested in the friend in question.

Clicking the button switches its label to ‘Awaiting Bang’ but will not notify them of your interest. Unless, that is, they are also users of the app and have also clicked the button beneath your face too.

If that happens, then the app will send a notification email to the address listed on your Facebook account informing you that you have a match.

However, despite its promises of anonymity, the app appears to have a serious glitch that could cause serious problems for users who prefer discretion.
Like other Facebook apps, when users sign up to the service it shows a screen asking them if they are sure, but also showing which of their friends are already using the app.

For many users, the revelation that they are out trawling for sex over Facebook could be the source of serious embarrassment.

A second glitch seems to be that once users have indicated they are ‘Down to Bang’ a friend, there appears to be no way to revoke it – the button no longer works once it has switched to ‘Awaiting Bang’.

Buzzfeed writer Katie Heaney described the idea behind the app as ‘icky’.

‘Unless you’re someone who believes (almost certainly wrongly, by the way) that your Facebook friends are all dying to hook up with you, and would do so if only given the bright blue button to admit it, the app doesn’t really offer you anything you couldn’t already accomplish on Facebook without it,’ she wrote.

‘How many people would really freely admit to wanting to hook up with a friend who wouldn’t already have some indicator of interest? Shouldn’t you already kind of know your chances with your Facebook friends?

‘Part of the grossness of “Bang With Friends” is the way it conceives of friendship as something you only do to get to, well, banging.’

At the time of writing, around 2,500 people had signed up to use the new app.

MailOnline contacted the developers for comment, but has as yet received no response.

A man could face a year behind bars and a $1000 jail term if he is charged for shooting pit bulls that attacked an 11-year-old boy. His charges may arise from his violation of Washington D.C’s gun laws.

The yet-to-be-identified man rushed into his home and grabbed his gun to shoot that dogs that viciously attacked an 11-year-old boy who was riding his new bike on his home street in the Brighton neigbourhood on Sunday. The boy who lies critically injured in the hospital was said to have collided with a pack of unattended pit bulls who bit him viciously in his arms, legs, stomach and chest, leaving him in need of surgery.

A police officer who heard the gun shots raced to the scene and shot the other two dogs, stopping the attack, a police report noted.

While he may have saved the life of the boy – who later underwent surgery on his wounds – the man could face charges for firing his gun on a D.C. street, rather than on his personal property. The man who had left his dogs unattended was cited for failing to leash his dogs and for ‘menacing people’ which could carry a total of just $175 in fines.

Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said that the incident, including whether the man legally owned the gun, remains under investigation.
