Thank you for the clarification.

Hello everyone,
For those who have a pending health and care work visa application before 11th of March 2024, I hope they won't be affected by the new rule if they do not get a decision before 11th of March..

Good morning house.
I am currently on graduate visa (PSW) for about 9 months now and I'm about to switch to care visa. A friend told me once I make the switch, unused IHS will be processed automatically and refunded back to me. How true is this?

Good evening house. When will this new care visa rule come in effect?? January or Spring.
Can someone on PSW switch to care visa sponsorship without any cost(s).

Thank you. I will try this one.
I was told by Lloyds bank to be careful. I sent £395 to one company this morning by bank transfer. Lloyds blocked the payment and my app, and asked me to call. They said payment for insurance must be by card. I was advised to not proceed with the deal.
So I am being careful now. I don't want to be a victim of fraud.

Try

They claim to cover provisional license holders

Thanks. They have none for provisional license holders.

You could try to get temporary impound/compound release insurance.

Search via e.g. confused.com or compare the market, filter and shortlist based on your requirements and contact the companies directly:

On a side note - why were you driving on your provisional? You must have been aware of the rules or did you think it was all just scaremongering ?

Please guys, is there a deadline for a biometrics appointment?
Last month, I applied for a dependent graduate visa (PSW) for myself and my 4 kids here in the UK.
I applied on the 11th of May 2023 and I booked free biometrics for 12.00 noon on the 8th of June 2023. On the 2nd of June, my daughter who is in college told me she has an IGSCE exam at 10.30 am on the 8th of June 2023. I went to the biometrics center to try to convince them to allow us to do our biometrics at 9.00 am or 2.00 pm, but they said No and they advised me to cancel the appointment and book another date.
The nearest free date I saw was the 30th of June which I finally booked. I am worried as a friend told me biometrics appointments must be done within 46 days of submitting application for dependent graduate visa . Can anyone here confirm if this is true?

Good day elders, I have just heard one can't switch from PSW to skilled workers visa except 3 month before the expiry of the PSW visa.
Is this true??

Nigerians here in the UK hardly talk about owing businesses, why?? I haven't heard of Nigerians who own big businesses in the UK. Most I have heard about are those who own African restaurants, African shops, carehomes or care agencies.

Dear elders I have been an ardent reader of this great resource and would like to thank everyone here for their contributions, support and advise to one another. This shows Nigerians are great people.
My wife came into the UK in January for her Masters degree Programme and I joined her with my younger kids in April. We all collected our BRPs when we got here.
In August, my 19years old daughter was issued a dependent visa on health grounds to join us. I picked up her visa without a BRP letter inside. I was worried but when I sent a letter to UKVI, they said it was because her visa was less than 6months. I just left everything and decided to come here to resolve this.
The problem now is that she does not have a BRP and visa on her passport stated its a dependent visa valid till 22/08/2022 to 15/02/2022. The visa will expire in February 2023 while the BRP of other members of the family will expire in May 2023.
How do we extend her own visa to May 2023.
Elders, please advise.
Once again, thank you all.
