I did emailed them tonight and I was told my application is yet to be assessed by the ECO. Please is there anything to be worried about?? Thanks You need not to be worried, you will be contacted when it's been assessed by the ECO. It's not yet 15 days |

Hello Nairalanders,
I have stated on the additional information that I get income from my landed property which I include the receipts in the documents. And I made some cash deposits of 50k and below. Do I still have to write a cover letter explaining all funds?
Pls respond this is urgent. |

oloolo: If you include your marriage certificate, is it compulsory to include pictures......if it's only for visit visa .
And if someone paid in just 42k into my account do I have to explain the reason It's not compulsory to include marriage pictures but just to convince the Visa officer that it's real. Yes, you have to explain the 42k in an additional information or on a cover letter. |

Honestly you are not helping your case, rather than reducing cost you are adding more, you can not impress the ECO by budgeting higher than you earn in 2months.
Shopping is not part of visa requirements.
You can definitely get a ticket below that figure if you seriously want to search for one Thanks @Justwise, i'm not being stubborn here, the reason I stated that is because I have other source of income which often generates me money. Can I reduce the total budget to my 2 and half months salary? That's 450,000? |

justwise: That is high you could find a cheaper ticket to bring down your overall cost Thanks @Justwise. Flight ticket is very high as of now, can i add shopping cost to total money available for the trip? |

Please use a card with some funds to book.

worry357: Some hotels delete the booking if not paid after some period of time. This can cause problems if an official checks at visa office or point of entry.
Make sure that you understand and follow the hotel policy. @Worry357 Thanks for your input |

Hello Nairalanders,
I would like to confirm if it's okay to book a hotel that says "No deposit will be charged"?
I want to know, if not I may persuade them to charge my card for one night as to avoid being declined during visa processing.
Kindly respond.
Thanks |

justwise: Your transport figure is high, check the transport for London website and know the zone you will be staying, buy weekly ticket for that zone which will cost less than £50 or buy oyster card which is about £5 then load the card with credit. that card is used for London buses and trans. Thanks @Justwise I've checked as instructed and I think £50 would be okay for a week transport, and £150 for feeding. I will be spending £1169 in total Does this make sense? |

justwise: 1. Not really a problem but it depends on the city you are visiting in the U.K.
2. Any, whether in the form or cover letter.
Do a break down of the trip first then you will know whether 2 and half will afford you a trip to the U.K during Christmas period. Thanks for your prompt response @Justwise, I intend to travel in January that's why I'm applying in December as to give enough time for visa processing. I see Kenya Airways for £479 Hotel £228 for a week Feeding £150 for a week Transport: £50 Sightseeing and shopping €400 Total: £1,307 that's N502,909 Oanda exchange rate. Please correct my breakdown if im wrong. Thanks as always sir |
