As an Alumnus of a school you should feel proud to go back to your alma mater and get your certificate.. But naa MADONNA UNIVERSITY is always different and weird..

Now here is my not too interesting experience I had today going back to an institution I graduated from close to a Decade ooo,yes a Decade.I was subjected to the worse humiliation in my entire life.First I was asked to shave my Beards(those who re close to me knw how I value it) I was like why??The guy(small boy that the year i finished he was still in high sch oo)said its the instruction from above. Its either I use shaving stick or go bck to Post(okija alumnus can relate) and get a barber..I kukuma use the shaving stick oo after paying #300 for one shaving stick ooo as if that was not enough I was asked to drop my android fone I was like waatam not your student na but they said its the gadamn rule from above again..

Now imagine how furious I was after all these experiences, trust me na it didn't end there I had a meeting with the Deputy registrar and Dvc (a young rev father) and told them its very wrong to mete out such treatment on alumnus and they all confirmed that they have had series of complaints about this same issue..And promised to look into it..Am putting this out here becos I told them I would surely let the world knw about what I passed thru just because I came to an institution I graduated from to collect my certificate!!

Thats why since I left MADONNA UNIVERSITY OKIJA I have never and still dont want to associate with them as an alumni because instead of them conforming to world standards they are still leaving in 1900 settings!!

selebobo10:
This is the firsthand info of what really transpired on that unfortunate day,she happens to be the sister of a classmate of mine...Justice we need and JUSTICE we deserve...below is the message the Elder sister Chinenye Igwetu sent to us on our platform;

Thank you so much fam. I truly appreciate the kind words and gesture shown from you guys. Words will never be enough but all I’m pleading for is that my sister is avenged so she can Rest In Peace. Garki hospital refused to treat her for more than an hr and she bled to death.
They brought my sister in at about 3am her coll argues who drove the car were asked to deposit 50k and they didn’t have that much cash on them, they begged to do a transfer and Garki Hosp refused that they don’t accept transfers and there pos isn’t available still the hospital refused to treat her immediately

In a bid to go use the atm that early morning the car didn’t start and they wasted time running around
Before the hospital finally moved my sister to ER she had lost almost a full bowl of bloood
I was contacted at 4:30am because they had to take out my sister’s SIM card to retrieve my number
All this while I was calling her endlessly to know her whereabouts

Got to the hospital at 4:40am and they asked me to go get blood that they do not have blood to transfuse, I asked that they take mine and my neighbors but they refused asking that we get men to donate instead that they do not like to take blood from “women”
All this delay led to my sister’s death
She died at 6am

Garki Hosp and the policeman killed her
Taking my time to type this so you can help me spread the word.
Help me guys!

Now above is a firsthand info of what happened on that unfortunate day, please we want JUSTICE FROM the hospital the policeman has been dismissed as we speak now...

Ok I very much get you now,we want justice from the Hospital that refused to treat her till they see cash even when they were told if they can make a transfer or POS transaction but they said none and that had to take some time and it led to her death..

Secondly when the sister came and decided to donate blood they refused and said they collect only men blood, are females not humans?

Then lastly on the topic am kinda new here so I dont knw if there is a way you can help with that...We just need the Hospital to learn a lesson since we all can see that the police has already taken there own measure..

dominique:

Sorry but your intro is not comprehensible. Someone that doesn't have a prior knowledge of the tragedy won't understand what the hashtag is all about. Even me with knowledge has no clear picture whom you're seeking justice against, The police or the hospital. The trigger happy cop that fired the shot has already been arrested and will be prosecuted (hopefully), that's part of justice. If you feel she needs more justice, you need to make your post more detailed coherent and let us know exactly what kind of outcome you want. Sorry about your loss, I sincerely hope the deceased get the justice she deserves
Crime / Re: Benjamin Peters: Policeman Dismissed, Arraigned For Killing Corper Igwetu Linda by selebobo10: 12:16am On Jul 07, 2018
Very good....this is the first step remaining to teach that #GarkiHospital a lesson for being negligent in the treatment of my classmates younger sister that eventually led to her death..

#JusticeForIgwetu

Letenwam:
Inspector Benjamin Peters, the policeman who killed a corps member identified as Linda Nkechi Igwetu, a day to her passing out parade in Abuja, has been dismissed from the Force.

Confirming that the errant cop is “on remand awaiting commencement of trial", the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory, Sadiq Bello, told newsmen that Peters should not have shot at the car, adding that his claim that the corps member was shouting for help was not sufficient ground to fire his weapon.

Miss Igwetu, who was allegedly shot in the early hours of Wednesday around Ceddi Plaza by a police officer, was rushed to the Garki Hospital where she died. The Police Command said that the command would not condone act of irresponsibility and incivility or outright criminality on the part of officers and men.

“He (suspect) has been dismissed from the force and arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction and he is currently on remand awaiting trial,” he said.

“It was alleged that the lady, one Angela Igwetu stood up and brought out her head through the sun roof of a Toyota Camry car shouting and calling for help that she was kidnapped,” he said.

“They have always been admonished to be civil to members of the public and be professional in the conduct of their duties,” he said.

The police commissioner who reassured residents of the territory to go about their lawful businesses without fear of molestation or harassment as their peace and security were guaranteed at all times, appealed for calm and understanding from members of the public and family of the deceased as justice would prevail in the matter.

“Furthermore, I wish to reassure residents of FCT that they should go about their lawful businesses without fear of molestation or harassment, their peace and security is guaranteed at all times,” he said.
