I saw an advert for an admin assistant role in an international NGO here on nairaland, I applied casually and was invited for interview. we were 8 that were called for the interview. we wrote an exam on the said date and we were informed that they will contact us soon to know our fates.

I received a message the following day that I passed and was invited for an oral interview (only 2 of us were contacted for the oral out of the 8 we wrote). I attended the interview and was still contacted for another interview with there manager the following day. was successful and was told I will hear from them. I was later called in the evening that I should report to work the following morning.

Brethren, I travelled from my state to the interview state with just two shirts, thinking am just gona attend the interview and come back to my state. I am stucked with two shirts here. Did i also tell you that my take home package is hot "hihi" I mean cool cash. Bye bye to job hunting, bye bye to poverty. You are next in line Gods willing.

I called a top person from fcsc yesterday he told me the Apl is ready .they address it to pmb to sign before but know with the acting president to sign before distributing the apl .so we have to be patience.from a confirm source.

Can see that u are rily grounded in the affairs of the commission....

The Recruitment and Appointment Department is one of the Core departments of
the Commission and is made up of two divisions namely Recruitment,
Secondment and Transfer Divisions.
The Core functions of the Department are as follows;
(1)     Collation of vacancy positions from MDA’s
(2)     Processing of Recruitment of eligible graduates into the Federal Civil
Service.
(3)     Arranging for interviews by placing advertisement for vacancies in National
Dailies, Television, Radio and the Internet.
(4)     Processing of all applications for Transfer of service or Secondment into or
out of or within the mainstream Federal Civil Service.
(5)     Issuance of provisional letters of Appointment or Transfer/Secondment of
service to successful applicants.
(6)     Regularization of Appointment after six (6) months of offer of provisional
appointments.
(7)     Issuance of movement forms and staff changes
(     Any other duty assigned by the Chairman.
(9)    The Department is made up of a Director, two Deputy Directors, three
Assistant Directors and host of other Administrative, Executive, Secretar

Apl will be ready in 3 months time. Exercise some Patience. Though I'm tired of waiting, got no choice but to wait. Meanwhile you can indulge in other things to keep you busy

Brother, it has a lot to do with it. For example, some of the articles can inform the type of employment you take. Government jobs, for instance, has "statutory flavour" i.e. your boss cannot just wake up one day and terminate your employment except for gross misconduct. Even where there is gross misconduct, your right to fair hearing must be respected and you must be given the opportunity to defend yourself. Etc etc etc

Apl doesn't have to do with the budget ! according to the timetable/ circular released by the previous chairman in early may which I saw, the issuance of Apl was to be 23-30! the delay is due to the unexpected retirement of the chairman and the commissioners, I am afraid a lot of interest and alteration goin on. They re still compiling some list as we speak! nobody knows for sure when it will be out

Don't know what to say to you but for those that love the fact, face and continue with what you are doing. APL won't come so soon is a bitter truth.

You need to ask previous successful staff at the last general recruitment, how far, how long it took them to get APL and another how long it took them to resume in the place of work. Hmmmmmmm, you may not understand.

You should also be concerned with what is happening in the office or establishment that will issue you the APL, change of government etc. I will stop here for now.

I hear u mister LUGBE..so dia process dat started sept last year wit interview cuming ova 6months afta and 3months afta conclusion aint long enuf...almost a calender year up and u say it wont come soon plus advertisement is already up for various vacancies dis year on dis agencies...cmon man we need optimism ok...
