Send the HR department a mail requesting for your disengagement letter that it’s needed for your new job. The remittance into your PFA account could be outstanding arrears unremmitted as this is a common practice among corporate organizations.

Never knew Pencom has gotten this bad. When I processed mine, their CC was always available and even the email channel. They were responsive and my application was processed within a week I think. The only delay I had was was with Stanbic Ibtc's "verification of signature" and Stanbic ibtc guided me every step of the way.

PenCom is now very terrible. I started the application in May and Yet to be paid in August for no reason at all. They are now running a Ponzi Scheme not a Pension Scheme

PenCom office or Leadway office? PenCom Southwest said I should tell Leadway to do a follow up on my application. For more than a month Leadway keep saying they are following up and are “sure” I will get my funds “soon”. I can’t afford to go to PenCom HQ in Abuja due to the cost implications, security risks, and uncertainty of prompt resolution. It’s not worth it. In the near future, either I’ve been paid or not, I plan to organize an effective solidarity just cause that will put an end to this nonsense for a greater Nigeria!!

I use Leadway and started my application in May. We are now in August and I’m yet to receive my money. According to Leadway Mobile App and customer care, the application has been pending PenCom approval since June. PenCom website says approval takes not more than 5 working days, but despite several follow up with Leadway and PenCom, they are yet to credit me for no reason whatsoever! It can take forever. My application has been “AWAITING PENCOM APPROVAL” since 25th June, whereas PenCom website says their approval is within 5 working days. Their social media handles don’t treat customer’s complaints, they don’t respond to emails, and their call center told me only my pension funds administrator (Leadway) can can do a follow up with them. Terrible!!!

I have sent an email to PenCom 3wks ago, 2wks ago, and last week, all of which they failed to respond to. Their national CC number is not functional and their SW regional CC team told me to inform my pension administrator (Leadway) to do a follow up for me when I called them. It’s ridiculous, because PenCom stated on their website that approval takes within 5 working days whereas my application has been pending PenCom approval (since 25th June) for 17 WORKING DAYS!!!

Has anyone in the house using another Pension Company been paid during this timeline? Because Leadway told me that PenCom approves in batches and that it usually takes them 10 to 25 working days which could take longer or shorter depending on PenCom’s timeline.

Can one apply while still working with his/her employer or the law allow persons who no longer in service with his/her employer?

You must be out of employment (resignation, termination, or dismissal) for at least 4 months without gaining another employment to qualify for the 25% Lump Sum withdrawal. And the fund can only be accessed once before retirement.

I just put in my application with my exit/acceptance of resignation from last employer on 21st June and did date recapture same day, by 24th I got message that my data has been updated, I am yet to get any other response so far! I just pray it goes well and there are no issues

I applied in June with Leadway Pensure on their mobile app. They changed the status of my application to “AWAITING PENCOM APPROVAL” on 25th of June and that’s how it has remained. Leadway told me they will disburse the funds when they get PenCom approval. I tried to contact PenCom for an update, but they don’t respond to their calls or email.

Your sportybet account was not hacked. You probably linked your ATM card to a fake (lookalike) sportybet website. This usually happens when criminals trick you with getting some kind of bonus. You must have unknowingly authenticated your bank to grant the criminals access to debit your bank account anytime they like through an OTP (one time pin/password). If you check the web URL of the link you clicked, you will surely discover that it is not the real website.

Not necessarily!!! My wife whom I dated for 10yrs before marriage and married by all rights refused to post me or any members of my family for birthdays, valentines, wedding anniversary, engagement anniversary etc on any social media platform for years since day one of marriage contrary to pre-marriage era. But she post to celebrate people almost on a daily basis. After too much complain on the matter, she posted me on her WhatsApp status one particular birthday. It was my worst bday because she started telling me and my parents (note: she moved us to their house temporarily for some weird reasons) “later now, he would lie that I don’t use to post him”. Her reactions got me curious and something told me she was ingenuine. She was showing me my friend’s comment to the bday post the following day.. I clicked on the post and discovered it was posted 23hrs ago and only 5 people had viewed it (myself, my parents, and my two friends) out of her over 1,000 contacts 💔. She used WhatsApp status privacy to select only the 5 of us and still had the guts to tell me and my parents all that. This was from a wife who always told me she feels so lucky, that she couldn’t believe a man like me existed. And NO, she wasn’t suffering.. in fact, she was now making her own millions consistently. I advise the celebrant to be sensitive, iron things out with his gf, and most importantly practice the act of SELF LOVE!

No physical presence required. I use Leadway Pension and I did my Data Recapture Exercise (DRE) on their mobile app, which showed “Successful on ECRS” after a couple of days. I am now waiting for the 4 months duration so that I can proceed with the 25% withdrawal which can also be done on their app. Please note that the Data Recapture requires the following
Pension Number (PEN*******)
NIN number
A passport photograph
Valid ID
Utility Bill
Birth certificate or Age declaration
N.B: Data Recapture is only for those who opened their pension account before 1st of July, 2019.
