My own case my appeal was delayed for complete two years but I got good new later and now in Ireland It a Joint spouse visa too. I think apeal processing depends on the document you provide and situation in Nigeria too could cause delay. You will hear good news just be focus and prayerful.

Cyntopath:
@ Seloverando, was it Join family visa ( under critical skill employment permit) ?

From the experience I had previously, I would suggest you withdraw the application and put in new application. 1year 8months is too long and yet the waiting is endless.

Thanks.
If we withdraw the application, we don't if is already close and when it will take again for the new application.

Hi Seloverando I want to believe ur application is under general skill, also was your wife living in Ireland before you got married or you got married before she travelled?
My Wife has been living in Ireland since 1999 and she is a full time health worker we applied for Joint family (Sponsor is an Irish citizen or is in Category A*).
