Ok, see this as part of learning and experience acquisition, there is no other better of getting experience if not by doing.

You can now carefully select your team from them putting into consideration their expertise in getting the job done and integrity.......put more effort in selecting those who are good at getting the job done and less effort on integrity as that can be easily change by strict measures......speaking from experience

I wish you well in your journey to career development and success

Thank you all for your candid advice, actually I'm a graduate architect and this is one of my big break with this contract from a friend who decided to reward me with my loyalty about few years ago when he was travelling to the UK..

I know I'm 22 and it can be annoying when people do this to you, I wouldn't like to develop a negaholic attitude to people who work for me at the same time I wouldn't encourage people stealing from me, this project is ongoing at Ibadan, and I'm half way complete with the project, I'm a crazy person and fierce ooo thought but my experiences over the years has made my behavioural realtionship with people on the low not to really show that side at all kus if I mad finish like this, I fit rake innocent people join.... There won't be time for any more smiling faces and restrictions are more enacted now, I've definitely learnt a lot or two from you all, thank you for your candid advice.
CareerRe: My Workers Are Ripping Me On Site by Senoiret(op): 10:11am On Sep 06, 2021
I was awarded the project , I'm a graduate architect with few years of experience, so this is sort of like my first break into working independently
greatiyk4u:
At your age as reported by you, they believe you didn't make the cash in a genuine way, hence the efforts at collecting their own share of the aza.

Secondly, always entrust your project into the hards of a professional and allow him coordinate and pay workers, by so doing you will reduce stress and waste......

Thank you very much , I have this as reference already ,but I'll impose more of this to the schedule of my operation, thanks
MRFIXER001:
Bro it's part of the experience you need in the field. I'm a structural engineer and have handled various projects

1. Don't work with people you can't control.
2. You need to be as active on site as your staff. If you're always away, they will make sure you are at loss.
3. Know the exact materials needed; not all experts know this, they rather depends on quotation. I personally can do the calculations of every materials needed and always keep record.
4. Don't make your staff too comfortable; they misbehave when you do. I started my first project at 25 (5 bedrooms duplex) but I don't make them feel too comfortable. I get all the materials needed, I make sure there's no wastage.

Being cool is not needed in construction field

Half of my workers are mid range over 48-55, and constitute the set of people who like to cheat me , I've been extremely nice to my workers in such a way you'll always love to work with me, I pay them promptly , sometimes cook for them and made sure they see enough gain when buying materials aside from their workmanship fee....

There's this carpenter that has been working for me over 2 weeks, he seemed cool at first and sweet coated whenever he dishes me daily report about his work and how well coordinated he works, I decided to give him a trial in the first place but the first work he did was so unsatisfactory he got me angry , someone over 40 years older than me, I gave him money to get nails for me which he never bought for the work , when I requested for the pack of nails he bought he gave me unreasonable excuses... And he was someone who was literally begging to get the job misbehaving to me....

as if that's not enough, I caught my bricklayer with a vehicle to the site loading over 4 bags of cement into the little van they brought, I wish I could record the shock all over his face and the way he was stammering .. And decent guy who I thought was reasonable enough to handle things for me, I sacked the motherfucker, the new one I employed is even worse, he thinks I'm a small buy kus I'm 22 and maybe he's feeling Intimidated by the portfolio of work I'm handling....

so many instances I can't even mention, after showing them love and care, allowing them to eat even when you are paying them well, they'll go at any length to rip you off...

please always open your eyes ooo, most of these worker's but not all are fond of acting crazy and take people they work for granted on site, they feel they are always smarter than. everyone else in the room and know how to cheat their way around you.... we have to do better and more as human, greed is unnecessary a d won't define breakthrough .moment for anybody...

MY WORKERS ARE RIPPING ME OFF ON SITE

Hello guys my name is BAMIDELE and I just graduate from one of the top architectural university In the country... I've always dedicated my life and accountability to ensure the zeal to uplift the face of architecture in this country stands as a priority as I feel a lot of nigerians are not regulating building conformity when building..

I've gained experiences with site construction project over the years and loved every bit of site work, as I feel they enlarge my gang of ideology nin a way that makes me think differently when it comes to designing and construction.....

I worked under several engineers and architects, civil contractors and foreign expatriate in lagos, Abuja, port Harcourt and Ibadan, until 3 months ago when I landed my first contract to build a 2 unit of 3 bedroom apartment for a client from the united kingdom, I was so happy and fulfilled as this was one of my lifelong wish at least I can start to fend for my siblings and take care of my wonderful parent who have been helping me out with so little but with love and support....

$500m for tucano aircraft, damn it , Africa is reasonably biting the saw dust from America's technology, when they already developed new generation fighter jets like the f- 35 lighting jet, tempest , f 15 and b2 bomber, global hawk drone, and we paid so much for this piece of nonsense,

Senoiret:
Yesterday I had a free day , so I decided to visit the ZOOLOGICAL garden in Ibadan to see the condition of the animals there and how well the zoo is functioning ....

Entrance fee was #500 for adults and lesser for children, so I and my friend paid #1,000, bought drinks at the tuck shop and headed right in.....

The environment is serene and has greatly improved with linking walkways and new pedestrian bridge and lush green atmosphere..

I noticed the gorilla i normally see is missing and I was told it died years ago, also, most of the animals are in good condition except for some lion looking skinny and not agile enough, but all the same , the experience was nice...

The zoo is now looking scanty as most cages are empty with animals..

It's a nice location to hang out for a first date , you won't need to spend much and you have a lot of time to talk and interact with nature...

You can budget #2,000 to plan your trip to the zoological garden if you're within Ibadan ..

Good morning my fellow nairalanders and a wonderful Sunday to you all, you must have clicked this post out of curiosity and I can tell your are in the right place and the right frame if mind to do so, I know you must have been battling gambling addiction in one way or the other and after so much stern decision, swearing to yourself and cursing of not going back to gambling , you end up finding yourself loosing money in one of these booking shops in your street or on your way to work...

Trust me you are not alone in this in nigeria, there are many more people like you going through this nerve breaking addiction around the country which is very hard to break due to the thrills it gives you...

Before i go further I will give you the reason why you just can't stop despite the zeal wanting to stop, as human biology is channelled with neurons and nerve cells in the brain, there is a function in your body that releases dopamine...

What is dopamine?

Dopamine is more like neurotransmitter made in the brain. Basically, it acts as a chemical messenger between neurons in your brain, Dopamine is released when your brain is expecting a reward in a case when you place a bet on a game like virtual or colour expecting the outcome in your favour..

When you come to associate a certain activity with pleasure like gambling especially virtual and colour, mere anticipation may be enough to raise dopamine levels. It could also be a certain food, sex, shopping, or just about anything else that you enjoy.

For example, you where supposed to go to work, along the way you saw a betting banner on your way to work, Your brain may increase dopamine when you see them with the hope you might win something to increase the money with you, when actually in reality you really never wanted to go and knowing well with full assurance you might loose the money with you, When you enter that betting shop, the flood of dopamine rush into your nervous system, acts to reinforce this craving and focus on satisfying your emotions in the future.

It’s a cycle of motivation, reward, and reinforcement.

where it gets more funny for addictive gamblers is when you have high levels of dopamine individually, it can make you feel on top of the world, at least for a while. It can also put you into serious overdrive which is a major factor for breaking addiction control, it's more or less like your brain taking over your brain in some biological way.....

it's the same reason and psychology behind people who find it difficult to quit smoking and drinking....

In excess, it may be a contributing factor in many bad habits people exhibits in one way or the other.

It is based on this neurology going on in your brain, betting companies are using to prey on their customers and every gambling outlet because it is more than difficult to cure the sensation out of your brain....

And you must know you can never outwit a betting company with that little illusion playing korean series in your head you're going to win millions one day, how you'll buy your imaginary car and shut those who are abusing you, you're never going to win millions one day, trust me that day will never come....

The algorithm works in such a way that you can never beat them, you just can't, especially when it comes to virtual games, you always come back when ever you win, even when you win and leave, the neural activity going on in your brain will always prompt you to go back to play which at the end you end up loosing your money....

So many fine men and a low percentage of women have lost their lives to gambling, many people ran away from home, lost their home, jobs and trust from their families and friend, people who had so much and excess has been reduced to nothing with the advent in gambling.....

I can assure you it's the biggest addiction you can ever get into, as it robs you of financial prosperity at anytime you try to stop, sometimes I feel smoking is even better to gambling as someone who smokes can still manage to feel normal at all a strict occasion....

Visit many betting outlets on a day you choose and you'll see many living dead people, people who are in so much mess they can't speak their predicament and living in that silence because of shame and the feeling of being stupid after loosing all their money to baby....

And if you see anybody coming up with an argument they are not loosing since they have been betting, they are sore liars, they are either drenched in debt trying to lure more people into their dungeon of addiction or they are in need of money under the pretense of fixed game or sure odd....They are living in silence of debts and agony just like every other gamblers...

Haven't you woken up one day and ask yourself why more betting shops and agencies keep opening their company around each corner in every street in nigeria especially lagos where they have wrecked many youths life.....

No matter how you think you are disciplined , once it overwhelms you, it takes grace of God to set you free and your true dedication to break free....

According to Gam Care, below are some signs to show gambling has become a problem or serious addiction for you:

1. Your spending has become uncontrollable, you discover you go to the extent of borrowing money from people or using up your life’s savings to gamble everyday, then there is a problem of addiction. If something is done for fun, it should not drain you financially, in fact, if possible, you can make money from it. When your spending is uncontrolled, then it is time to stop.

2. You’re spending significant time gambling rather than spending time to do significant things for yourself, you will rather gamble away your time, then a problem is around the corner. When you find yourself wasting time meant for development on gambling, then it has become an addiction and you should seek help.

3. You’re concealing or lying about gambling behaviour
You are not bold enough to tell people what you are doing or where you are going, that means you are doing something bad and such should be stopped.

4. Also, you find yourself drifting away from your family and friends because you are either gambling or avoiding the backlash that comes from your family due to the habit, then, it is time to stop.

5. You have no apparent interests or leisure pursuits
Everything that interests you before you started gambling now interests you no more, no more apparent interests or leisure pursuit, it is time you knew you are addicted and need help. It is not easy to overcome addictions, however, with the right company around you, you will pull through.

Addictions are not something you can easily overcome, however, when you think about the negative effects and how it is slowing down your growth, what opportunity might come your way if you had not gamble the money meant to make you a better life,

Also you might give seeking therapy help a shot and a psychologist but all these won't work unless you have a really strong determination to stop and end everything once and for all.... These are some hardcore steps to strip yourself of this demon if you really want to....

1. Admittance

The first step is to admit you're an addictive gambler, this admittance would calm your ego and make you reflect on all the good things you can still achieve with your life if you stop.

2. Loosing control of your financial capacity

Look for a friend or someone who understands you better to take control of your finances with strict instruction with regards to how money can be discharged to you and when money is given to you , it has to be for a specific reason under monitoring...this will help you reduce the urge to reduce the play...

3. Close all your betting account online

Another great step from your gambling addiction is to close all your account and and thing that can reference gambling within your ecosystem.... have the shop owner ban you from placing bet in their shop, insist on thorough disgrace if you attempt to and don't go out alone....

4. Engage yourself with something else

To take away your mind from gambling , you need to take away your mind and engage yourself with something meaningful like sports, taking your job serious, reading books, watching a series or picking something that thrills you before you picked gambling as an ADDICTION.

5. Be closer to God.
Many people don't realize this, but when you truly involve yourself with God in any form of religious function you might be in distracts you from these acts and make you more useful to yourself, engage in outreach and bible gatherings, go to mosques regularly and talk to ain imam or pastor of your condition, this will alert your mind people are watching you making you gradually reduce your habit with time...

Remember you are the only one who can change yourself... If you need help or you wish to talk to someone anonymously , you can mail me @ senoiret@gmail.com.

Most of the tectonic plates causing earthquakes goes through their region, just like japan and other earthquake prone region, we are just lucky in africa , these plates don't go through some part of africa continent, if not, the disaster would have been extremely terrible, most of the new generation seeing now are made with earthquake protective technology.... These are natural occurrence beyond human comprehension..

The one that haunted me most was the earthquake that occured at lisbon, portugal where people who where whorshiping in a cathedral perished ...

This country is full of shit, look at human feacal material soaked all around where a prisoner is being subjected to stay, look at the madenes and loopholes in our police station, the no regard for human life and the degrading state of human empathy is becoming something else....

How you do expect a normal human being to act after seeing this nonsense, I keep telling people we need to do reform the nigeria security sector, the mentality of our security agency, the physiological density that need to be exhibited by these people.... Once they are on uniform , they turn to demi God's....

Nairaland GeneralWHAT REALLY TRANSPIRED BETWEEN ABBA KYARI AND HUSHPUPPI AND THE FBI by Senoiret(op): 8:55pm On Jul 29, 2021
In case you don't understand why the US government through the FBI is looking for our super cop, Abba Kyari, let me break it down for you in a way that you will understand so here we go:

1) Hushpuppi, his friend Kelly Chibuzor Vincent and their yahoo gang defrauded a Qatari citizen to the tune of $1.1 million.

After the deed has been done, Hushpppi sent money to Chibuzor who was living in Abuja, the money sent to Chibuzor was his commission from the successful deal.

However, Hushpuppi did not send the agreed sum, Hushpuppi allowed greed to get the better part of him.

Feeling cheated as a guy man, Chibozor contacted the businessman from Qatar and sang like a canary bird that his gang defrauded him.

2)When Hushpuppi heard what his friend in the yahoo yahoo business did, he felt betrayed and was furious.

While still fuming, he picked his phone and called his ally and friend, Abba Kyari, he told him what the scaly wag Chibzor did to him and then requested that the betrayer should be detained by Abba Kyari at his pleasure for stabbing him in the back.

3) Abba Kyari provided an account number, not his, the account number belonged to a policeman in his IRT to Hushpuppi who wired money, the reason the money was sent was to mobilize the policemen that went to pick up Chibuzor at his residence in Abuja for betraying the Instagram celebrity.

He that pays the piper dictates the tune.

4)Immediately Chibzor was arrested and detained, Abba Kyari sent a message across to Hushpuppi via Whatsapp informing him that Chibzor had been arrested.

"He is now in my cell," he wrote on WhatsApp. He then sent the picture of the detained Chibuzor at the police cell to Hushpuppi to confirm the identity of the betrayer.

Abbas known as Hushpuppi confirmed yes that is the idiot is the one.

At that moment, his chest was thumping and a smile played across his face, I told the idiot that I would arrest him, he thought I was joking, Hushpuppi said to his close confidants with him at his residence.

Feeling satisfied with the execution by Abba Kyari’s IRT team, Abbas requested for our super cop’s account details, money was sent to Abba Kyari by Hush for doing a good solid job.

5) Chibuzor was detained for 1 month at the pleasure of Hushpuppi. All through the period, Chibuzor was detained, he was not charged to court rather Hushpupp was sending money to the police officer whose account was provided at the beginning for mobilization. The latest money he sent was just to keep his friend behind the bars ahd for his daily feeding too.

6) After One-month incarceration, God touched Hushpuppi's heart to allow his friend go, he then sent a message to his police ally and friend that Chibuzor should be freed from police detention.

A request that was complied with by the IRT team headed by Abba Kyari.

7) Chibizor is today at large as nobody knows his whereabouts but the action that he took by reporting to the victim of their fraud in Qatar is one of the reasons that led to the fall of Hushpuppi's criminal empire.

8 The Qatari citizen who could not believe what happened to him made a formal report to the FBI, the FBI team swung into action immediately and uncovered the whole heist that implicated our beloved Abba Kyari.

9)FBI is looking for Abba Kyari for being an accomplice and accessory to a large scale fraud, nothing more than this.

FBI is not looking for him for running a Jumia delivery business in his police office as a side hustle as he claimed today.

They are not looking for him because Hushpuppi was his younger friend and ally or that he was found in the wrong company.,

He committed a crime when he used the instrument of his office to arrest Chibuzor knowing fully well that Chibuzor did not commit any crime known to our laws to warrant detaining him for 1 month .

10) The three parties involved, Hushpuppi, Kyari and Chibuzor really represented Nigeria’s ethic diversity very well at the table.

Abbas is Yoruba, Chibuzor is Igbo and Abba Kyari is a Kanuri man from Borno state so they did it for us guys.

11) In the end, it could be said that Hushpuppi's greed and avarice by not paying his friend Chibuzor the agreed sum, Abba Kyari's messianic complex and the mindset that he is untouchable because he came from the right part of the country were the hubris that led to the downfall of the two powerful individuals who were once close friend and allies.
