delzbaba: You failed to mention that the recent removal of middlemen by the Governor of Lagos through direct transportation from source is the main catalyst for this sharp reduction, as a matter of fact the farmers are happy and relieved and they are also making profit, have you asked yourself why food items are always cheap when you travel to the village? So you mean this fall in food prices is only in Lagos?? Una go just open mouth waah!! |

ChiefOloye: These people should calm down and stop making mountains out of molehills. The banner issue was insignificant, but mischievous individuals are amplifying it as if it were the President himself who organised the event and deliberately removed his Vice President’s picture and name. I can bet that Asiwaju cannot and will not drop Shettima, if he does, his core supporters would challenge him. I measure people's 1Q on the forum by the way they vouch for these useless politicians!! These politicians do what benefits them and as soon as Tinubu discovers that keeping Shetima will not benefit him, he'll definitely replace him. How can I stay in my room and be betting on what a fraudulent politician will not do?? No be juju be that? |

Your point will ONLY be valid IF Subsidy wasn’t removed.
ALL Presidential candidates in last election AGREED to remove the CANCER choking our economy (subsidy) But other candidates would have studied the relevant documents, prepare cushioning effects, consults with the market system before removing subsidy! They won't just announce it on their first day in office without understudying the situation!! Tinubu goofed and he knows it, except his brainwashed followers! |

Bahamas95: Oga if my family members don't hear from me for a period of time they'll come looking for me at my house, it's not as if he's a foreigner whose friends and family are far away in another country.
Another thing baffling me is that nobody in the neighborhood bothered to check on him, it's kinda strange in a country like Nigeria. I only hear of these things abroad. Nigerians don't mind their business to that extent, curiosity would make one or two persons discuss the issue and youths would mobilize there. The only time I have heard of an abandoned house like this in Nigeria which people avoided was that ritualist in the east. Can't remember his name, Eze-ego or something like that.
I don't know the location of the house, the only thing that can convince me it truly happened is if the house is located in an island. You need alot of growing up to do!! A man was once a friend to my dad in far away north for 18 years, and when he finally died, nobody in his family knew. He told my dad all the while that he didn't have any family and never married. We all believed because there was no communication. It was at the point of death he told us he has 6 kids and his family are in bodija in ibadan. |

zeyt: I dont want to say it here but if this guy has been a Muslim and living in a Muslim neighborhood he wont last three days before his absence is quickly noticed in the mosque by the fellow congruatees. This shows how we are rapidly adopting fierce western styled competition where everyone is trying to succeed so much so that everything has turned into rat race and can easily get forgotten even by family. We see how they put their parents into old peoples homes because they are too busy with their lives. If he was in a Christian community and belongs to a church, his absence will definitely be noticed too! |

Benbellamor: Really? Is it that you don't read at all? Let me post just 10 recent high profile case that Femi falana won Ali Ndume suspension inclusive...it was a case of high power play against federal government far more than Oba of Benin merely state case
Below are 10 court cases he had successfully won in the past.
1. **Jones Abiri v. DSS (2018)** Falana secured the release of journalist Jones Abiri, who had been detained without trial by the Department of State Services (DSS) for two years. The Federal High Court awarded Abiri ₦200 million in damages for the violation of his rights.
2. **Hon. Rifkatu Danna v. Bauchi State House of Assembly (2017)** Falana successfully challenged the illegal suspension of Hon. Danna, with the Court of Appeal ruling that her suspension violated the rights of her constituents to representation.
3. **Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin v. House of Representatives (2018)** Representing Hon. Jibrin, Falana won a case where the Federal High Court nullified Jibrin's 180-day suspension from the House of Representatives, ordering the payment of his withheld salaries and allowances.
4. **Senator Ali Ndume v. Nigerian Senate (2017)** Falana's legal advocacy led to the annulment of Senator Ndume's suspension by the Senate, reinforcing the illegality of such legislative suspensions without due process.
5. **National Conscience Party v. INEC (2003)** Falana was part of the legal team that challenged the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) imposition of nomination fees, leading to a Supreme Court decision that such fees were unconstitutional.
6. **Joseph Odafe & Others v. Attorney-General of the Federation** In this case, Falana's advocacy contributed to a Federal High Court ruling that upheld the socioeconomic rights of citizens under the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which is part of Nigerian law.
7. **Alhaji Sani Dododo v. EFCC & Others** Falana was involved in this case where the Court of Appeal affirmed that the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, as part of Nigerian law, protects the socioeconomic rights of citizens.
8. **Elder Areola Abraham Love v. Oba Semiu Ogunjobi (2025)** Falana filed a ₦200 million lawsuit against Oba Ogunjobi on behalf of Elder Love, who was assaulted by the monarch. The case highlighted the enforcement of fundamental human rights against traditional authorities.
9. **Femi Falana v. Meta Platforms Inc. (2025)** Falana sued Meta for $5 million over a misleading video that falsely claimed he suffered from prostatitis. The case underscores the enforcement of privacy rights under Nigerian law.
10. **Omoyele Sowore v. DSS (2019)** Falana represented activist Omoyele Sowore, challenging his detention by the DSS. The court ordered Sowore's release, reinforcing the protection of personal liberty.
These cases illustrate Falana's commitment to defending human rights and upholding the rule of law in Nigeria. You're quoting the wrong person!...I'm a lawyer and I know Falana has won a lot of cases!! |

No Putindbutt: That's a very good observation. The VP is currently outside the country representing his boss and Nigeria on official duties. And as such he must be respected. I really don't know why Northerners are in battle with Shettima over his position, many interest camps eyeing his position. This is strange though. But whether anyone likes it or not, Shettima remains the VP till 2031. When the chips are down, you'll still come here and change mouth! No be you again? |
