That's it na. That's what they want. First it was one batch B. Then they divided us into two 'streams'. That one was not enough. Now they've further sub-divided us into different geo-political zones. Which is funny when you remember that one of the aims of the scheme is for 'integration'.

@ all, let's forget the whole geo-political zones thing. Lagos Stream II is one house. We all are serving in the same state. I assume none of us posted to Lagos has any plans of redeploying? We can set aside a day and still meet, relate and network. Some of us might even be posted to the same PPA. Or if not that, fall under the same LGA.

True. For me though the good thing is that I'm yet to buy the shorts n polos for camp. The only thing I got was one rubber sneakers I saw on the day I got my call up letter. They were selling at the Sports Complex. As I see say na September 1st we go report to camp I no just bother. Na dis weekend I been dey plan to go buy the remaining items before the news. As it stands na to just go there on the day assigned for us, register, collect kit comot there. Cos I don't see them allowing us in camp for that eight days.

Hissexcellencie: I suggest we all storm camp by that 1st Sept. Then stay there till 8th. (If what is on †ђξ website is true) then we can have our 3week experience in just 8days. Make we go wreck dat Ipaja maami for them. Picture panorama. Gyration everyday. Of course w/out †ђξ beagle and man O- war (compulsory) drills. what say U guys?

icedace1: I believe I am speaking the heart of most students in nigerian who is affected by this sudden change of the orientation camp activities. This is a life time experience that you guys and the government want to deny us from. Our parents and some of our grand parents took part in this 3 weeks excercise, our friends took part in it, why deny us this opportunity? Most of us have gone as far as buying things we would use during the orientation camp, should it all go to waste? Our friends had the experience, march, july why us this joy? Why not close down markets, shopping malls, business centres, motor parks and so many places where lots of people gather, if the government is really trying to protect the nation. Why shut down schools only? This exercise is just for 3weeks. We buy food from d market everyday, meet different people everyday and yet many are still living. The government should not deny us this experience, its a life time story, it happens Once in a life time. I am speaking the heart of many students. Our parents have spent money purchasing equipments that will be used for this exercise will it all be in vain? People gather in different places, markets, sport centers, e.t.c people make body contacts with people everyday and yet not up to 12 death has been recorded of the Ebola virus, why punish us this way. We beg of you to allow us carry out our orientation exercise for the 3weeks. At most every student should be tested before entering d orientation camp and not canceling it. Please don't take part of the stories we owe to our children. Do not make us feel incomplete as part of nigerian students. We beg all of you not to put saddness in our hearts. Should the president of this country also be in the black book of nigerian students, should they say it was his tenure they never went to orientation camp. Mr president sir should everything be negative in your tenure? Should the full nation think badly of you? Why not shut down universities that are still on sessions if that is the case because some schools are still on session. Mannylex: prolly they didnt call lagos, because lagos already has stream 1 corpers, but the northern states where emphasized, because they dont have stream 1... But letz face the fact if they are putting stream 2 on hold because of ebola, then Lagos would top the list, because thatz the headquarter of the disease presently! Letz keep calm though and hope for positive news and maybe, just maybe this could somehow pave way for a sort of blessing for us in a way I cant even fathom.

My thoughts too. Personally, I think if the postponement will check the spread then it makes sense. They should just hand out our PPA posting letters and forget the orientation exercise altogether. But like I posted earlier, it's too early to speculate. Let's wait and see what happens in the coming days.

Guy, nobody is saying Lagos was exempted, they're telling you that Lagos was not specifically mentioned among the six states where the orientation programme had been postponed. At least from Ait reports. You hear? But that's not to say that they won't mention Lagos in the coming days, so let's wait and see.

Just saw the news but Lagos was not among the six states mentioned. We'll have to wait for confirmation.
