Hello everyone,

I’m wondering what has happened to AXA Mansard of late.

They used to be very responsive. Calls to their CC numbers were answered within 5 minutes and deposits before noon reflected in your MMF account immediately.

Deposits to my account haven’t reflected ans ant now and I didn’t even get the standard email confirmation which comes when you make a deposit. Tried to reach them now and have been on the line for over 20 minutes. This is not the first time this is happening.

Even their website is barely responsive. I can login to the site but the investment page is not opening.

Has anyone had a similar experience lately? Thinking of moving funds to my Stanbic MMF.

Yes but only the detailed statement works, it works better than your traditional bank account.
Thanks for your response. When you say detailed statement, do you mean the one they share when I use the “send to embassy” feature on their website as opposed to the statement I can print out from their page?

Hello House,

Was wondering if anyone has been able to use their AXA money market fund account as POF for tourist visa application or Express Entry POF. I’m considering moving some funds from a traditional savings account to the AXA MMF because of the higher interests. Was wondering if it’s accepted as a valid POF document for the two needs stated above.

I’m particular about AXA as I already use them but want to go all in. Thanks.

Can't believe I'm just seeing this.
The mention didn't work this time. angry
Guess you would have made the trip. Haven't done this since the trip that made me open this thread, so not really sure of the state of roads.

Abeg, update on the roads. May have to drive to Enugu at soon. Will also be helpful as folks plan festive travels.
Yes I made the trip last Saturday. The roads were slightly better than I expected, given the rainy season. Bad roads between Owerri and Okigwe but there's an alternative route through Anara.

Since you're going to Enugu, the rough spots I noticed were
1. The road just on the outskirts of Nsukka along the Enugu - Makurdi road.
2. The Ajaokuta road.

Nothing too terrible though. I barely felt any scrape on the underside of my vehicle.
Car TalkRe: Best Route: Owerri To Abuja Road Trip by SerPounce(m): 7:30pm On Nov 07, 2018
Good evening Piyke, have you by any chance done this trip again recently? I'll be driving to Abuja from Owerri by this weekend, and would have loved to know the current state of the roads. Especially this rainy season.

I last did this trip in February (Abuja to Owerri). The roads were relatively OK then. Will like to know the current state of the roads and the best route to take.

Anyone with info kindly help out.

GAZZUZZ:
explain the bolded in detail.
Thanks Gazzuzz. When I start the car for the first time and drive at low speeds, the ABS does not come on. But when I pick up speed, say, when driving on the highway it comes up and remains until I turn off the ignition. Start up again, no abs light, pick up speed, ABS comes on and remains till ignition is turned off.

Replacing the cat will take care of the P0420. Usually, a good Toks should solve the problem. Remember if you don't change the cat, u may have an engine failure in the long run.

As for the 02 sensor, get a Toks with guarantee & you have the problem solved. I have used Toks 02 sensor in the last 6 years in different cars & never have the CEL back. The fuel imported in this country is terribly poor & low quality.
Thanks for the response. The boldest is my biggest fear. Will do that as soon as I can get competent hands to source and replace the CAT. Thanks to info I've gotten from this forum, I'm wary of incompetent hands working on my vehicle.
Car TalkRe: CEL On My Camry, Error Codes Scanned. Please Advise. by SerPounce(op): 7:25am On Jan 05, 2018
Will do. But is changing the CAT the best option? Given the likelihood of the error code coming up again. More inputs please.

So after buying a new cat your check engine light would still remain. You can get a very good toks
He says the CEL light would go off, but would eventually come on again after the vehicle attains a certain mileage. According to him, this is because of the nature of fuel we use.

He also said the toks have a 50/50 chance. Where can I source a good toks then? Thanks.
Car TalkCEL On My Camry, Error Codes Scanned. Please Advise. by SerPounce(op): 3:33pm On Jan 04, 2018
Good afternoon guys,

The check engine light came up on my Camry 09. The ABS light also comes on after driving on an increased speed for a while.

Had it scanned today and got the following codes:

P0420 - Catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)
C0205 - Front speed sensor LH circuit
C0200 - Front speed sensor RH circuit
C1330 - Open circuit in right front speed circuit.

The mechanic says the last three codes will be cleared after we change the defective sensors.

For the P0420 code, he advised importing new CAT and O2 sensors from outside the country as the best option (the prohibitive costs given the exchange rates make this an unlikely option at the moment). Besides, he says after the change, there's no guarantee the CEL won't still come up after some time given the fuel we use over here.

I read something on an earlier thread by adanny01 about using spacers. More info will be needed on this please. This is my first car and I as yet don't have much DIY experience.

Kindly advise, thanks.

I know some guys that have gone for assessment Centre after their digital interview.
Wow. Out of all those who've been commenting on this thread, only CBMO and Martins301 have said anything about getting invites for the assessment center. And they've not given any updates on how it went.

"love letter"?

Does it mean no other person has been called for the assessment center since the digital interview?

CBMO:
Full day assessment day
Different case studies and you'll have to make presentations. There'll also be a role play and then a final one on one interview
If it wouldn't be much of a bother, kindly provide some details on the case studies and role play activities you guys participated in. To prepare those that might likely get future invites.

Was able to take the digital interview late last night. It was unnerving at first but after a few practice runs I was sufficiently composed to attempt the main test. Have to say though that nothing beats the personal interaction of a physical interview. You get the feeling that you're just talking to yourself with your image staring right back at you as you talk to your computer.

My connection was fair, probably because I took the test late at night. The major flaw in the system was the question with the PDFs attached. They took time to load and when they did one barely had enough time to analyse the data and type recommendations before the time ran out. Let's see how it goes.

All the best to those yet to take the test.

Speaking of the assessment, a friend's feedback was quite good, yet he got a negative mail. Or did they feel he answered so accurately and wasn't being sincere?

I am a lady thr4 I dnt have balls. I reacted that way cos of the way pple were assuming the mail was a form of regret mail and it was clear that they read mail n the attachment carefully. You sef run along
Those who got regret mails also got assessment feedbacks. And there's nothing wrong in people trying to be sure of what the mail really meant. From asking questions on here you can be sure that more than a few people have been reassured. In these days when recruiters have mastered the double-speak, couching regret mails in the finest words one can never be too sure. Your post just assumed that people wouldn't know to read the attached PDF, that's what I was calling out. Best of luck.

Got the mail below. Attached to it was my assessment feedback. Is that their nice way of telling guys to keep searching? smiley

Thank you for completing the online assessments for Diageo’s Global Graduate Programme.

We're passionate about giving people the freedom to succeed, and this starts with giving feedback. We are pleased to share with you a personalised feedback report (attached) following the completion of the online assessments.

This report has been designed to help you understand your personal Values, Motivations and Behaviours. Your position on the scale reflects how you answered the questions compared to the descriptors at either end of the scale. It is important to note that these scales are not from high to low and there is no good or bad answer. We hope that you will use this report to get to know yourself a bit better!

Unfortunately we cannot give any further individual feedback at this stage. We do however hope this feedback will help you in the future either in this process or in other job applications.

Kind Regards,

Diageo

The state coordinator
NYSC secretariat
Babs Animashaun Road
Old census office Surulere
Lagos state.
This has been very helpful. Thanks a lot bro. Na to make sure say I get rejection letter remain.

aircom: Actually what I suggest wat we all do right now is get request/acceptance letters from where we wish to get posted to shud we get rejected. All the corpers I know that applied for reposting with a request letter (from d firm they wish to get assigned to) attached to the reposting letter 2weeks ago got posted to where they wanted. Every Ppa NYSC actually have in mind to post us right now is really choked ..My local govt inspector made it clear to me..Today I and a friend that got rejected at our initial ppa failed to get new ppa letters for reposting(which made me sorta happy) caz when we wrote our reposting letter, we did not attach any request letter..yeah we had non then ..and a lady at the secretariat told us she's gonna give us till thursday to provide a request letter else na primary..school tinz...hehehehe Just the tot of teachin a primary schl kid alone sent shivers down my friend's spine..So we decided to storm all d electrical organizations(private or public) in ikeja..we could set eyes on..Eventually we were in front of ikeja distribution board..We went in, explained to the admin manager our predicament, she told us to come back 2mao.that the company's slot for corpers are almost exhausted but hopefully she may pull off something..
Just 3 corpers out of the twelve from my initial ppa got reposted without a request letter to schls so all am saying right now is AFTER REJECTION a request letter(regardless if it's for a private or public firm) is a safe bet if u don't want to find yourself in a classroom..
Aircom bro, thanks a lot for this. The place where I got the request letter is in a Local Government Area different from the one I filled in my NYSC documents. Hope this does not pose a problem? Also, they gave me a letter of employment to take to the NYSC. Would that suffice? Or should I go back to them and ask for a letter ADDRESSED to the NYSC that specifically requests my services?

spyme: i was advised by a staff of nysc to look for ppa myself...am beginning to think i should heed
Ok thanks. That's good news. I think that's better than waiting for them to post us, getting rejected and end up becoming a regular at their secretariat. If they end up posting one to a good place then one can decide between accepting their posting or going to where one was given a letter. Whichever one that is more favourable.

aircom: Hey guys sowie 4 d long leave of absence..NYSC ripped my heart 2 shreds last week after every corper at my ppa received letter of rejection from d organisation..reasons bin dey don't need our services 4 now.. still in shock hehehehe we were told to come to the secretariat today 4 reposting...make sure u guys re all on ur khaki trousers n white t-shirt yeah including d white shoes or jungle boots else..u won't be attended to..lookin forward to seein u guys
That's bad man. Is it that NYSC just posts corpers randomly without finding out if an organisation needs their services or not. Tales of rejection at PPAs everywhere. Saw a thread here on nairaland about corpers that were posted to a playhouse. These are graduates for Christ's sake! From the post the playhouse even rejected some of them. Wishing you a better PPA bro.

P. S: Since you guys were rejected where they posted you, hope they would accept a request letter if you come with one? Cos I got one from a private organisation. It makes no sense to put us through getting a rejection letter and having to come back to them again. This one that they are rejecting Stream 1 corpers in some places, what hope for we the stream two guys. I hear some schools are even rejecting corpers if they already have the teachers that take the subjects you can handle. And they are saying they only accept request letters from organisations in certain areas. Any info on this?

I'm not the only one who got it then.
