Hi Seun (admin) Daily Sun (Wednesday 11, 2007) •Aogo & Ede |
Hi all, ![]() What do you guys fink. Berti Vogts is trying to include two 'half german / half nigerians' into the niger squad. Is it woth it. Bearing in mind that 'Dual nationality' is not allowed in Germany, therefore, to be able to play for nigeria, they would have to renounce thier german citizenship and adopt nigerian citizenship. This is possible though, as they both have nigerian fathers, Chinedu Ede (striker: Hertha Berlin) Dennis Aogo (midfielder: SC Freiburg) Is it worth the hassle?/ Over to you HOUSE. ![]() |
Hey guyz just tot i shld join in, [img][/img] |

Loads, Hummer, for £10000, ol boy be honest. How did he get it? Half price deal or what? |
@my peace, As far as I am aware, you do not have to wait for a company to advertise a job vacancy before you send in your CV. Where did you get that idea from? If you are one of those, you better wake up from your sleep. You need to make the company CREATE an opening for you, by the'contents of your CV'. Moreover, you need to be able to be proactive in life. I presently work with 'Anglo Irish Bank' in Dublin as a Senior Test analyst. I got this job by doing a research on the company, due to the fact I was thinking of relocating to Ireland from the UK. I used to work for Barclays Bank in the UK. I knew about banks in Ireland, but going thru their websites, I decided to try this AIB. Sent my CV down online, made a follow-up call, and I was asked to fly down to Dublin for an interview, which I did. And the rest is history, U kinda sound like a street-corner secretary though (no offence). |
Hi wale-oba, Keep up the good work. In addition to what you are doing at the moment in posting relevant job vacancies for interested nairalanders. Would you kindly enlighten some members of the importance of how well to structure their CV. I have been opportuned to view some CVs on nairaland, but to my surprise they are not really up to it. Some people are still making some simple mistakes like using font-size 24+ in putting their name on the CV + including details like 'place of birth, date of birth, local government area, marital status etc, and having not much information when it comes to main body of the CV. These details are not needed. As a CV is meant to sell oneself, as in achievement and experience needed to do the job one is applying for. Once an interview is secured, then, if asked, one can then state (if requested) how close one is to the 'richest man in the world'. I am not an expert though, but there are some simple mistakes that cost us some golden opportunities in life. @zukkybeh, contact me, |
I do not think this guy is ready to be with you 4ever. Nothing stops him from getting engaged to you b4 going to the uni. One thing you should try to remember though is that 'most ppl now tends to meet their wiffy while at the uni'. Open your eyes/heart, he might come back with his degree and a new babe (courtesy 'uni'), how old would you be and what would you do? You guys should sit down now and get your priorities right. If he is not ready to get committed now, what made you think he would later? |
@Seun Do you have any plan for external/foreign affairs minister in your cabinet. I can promise you the possibility of being able to convince the international community the justification behind your reason for contesting. ![]() |
Mo wapa & Wale_ade ( I sincerely thank you guys for replying my posting - what I sincerely need now is motivation. It is a long way ahead-2011, but I am putting things in place already, ie. I would be going for my NYSC in June/July -I am yet to do that, reason being I schooled here in the UK. After that, I hope to frequent Nigeria more) In my opinion, and based on what I feel is being practiced in the country (Nigeria) at the moment. Most aspiring politicians aim for the high post just for selfish reasons. I believe, I can touch (starting point - 'my strategy') the lives of the down-trodden by starting from the lowest level. Wale_ade:@Wale_ade Don't forget that we still have that'divide-line' between the rich and the poor, and unless something is done about it, it would continue like that till 'HIS' continue would come. I am willing to go there not for any selfish reason (I know we hear this all the time), I neither have any God-father nor do I have any political connection, but, I believe with the total support of the right people that are in need of this CHANGE, I will deliver. My interest in councillorship post at the moment is not to say I won't aspire to go higher, but, as I said earlier - STARTING POINT-. Therefore, BY God's grace, by the time I get to YOUR high post, I would have touched the lives of the people from the local community. |
Hi all Nairalanders, I am a bonafide nigerian, currently residing in the UK. I am interested in participating in Nigerian politics, this idea was developed while undergoing my degree program in 'International Relations and Politics' here in the UK. Though, I do visit Nigeria -like 2/3 times each year-. I still feel I need to be enlightened on which way to go. I am interested in contesting as a 'Councillor' in my constituency. This might be a bit late now, but I need to know how to put my machinery in place for 2011 (did I hear anyone say 2011)?, Not far. -----Councillor? (YES) - Such a good place to start - Grassroot / Development from BELOW I just feel like playing a positive role in the development of my local community, as a starting point - creative awareness I need no god-fatherism for the level, as I believe I can do it with the support of my local kinsmen. Nairalanders, We need to have one of us there ![]() OR Don't you think so? |
@MOYO Would you be able to read all this suggestions/advices pasted here for u. Anyway, my own little contribution would be: 1. You can either leave the two friends (afterall, my mum used to tell me - SHOW ME YOUR FRIEND AND I'LL BE ABLE TO TELL THE KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE). What I will say is, I think they are two of a kind. - Being there done that - 2. Go ahead, bed your guy's mate. Afterall, what is new? You are still young ang have a long way ahead of you. Enjoy yourself, have fun, It is goood to experience that now than later-on on life. I am out. ![]() |
@Babasin, Satnav is not functioning in nigeria yet. I will suggest you get the one with a DVD option, |
@Babasin You should contact 'GLO' the phone service provider in Nigeria. You can log on to their website, click on 'contact us' and get the required telephone numbers. On the custom issue, my 'suggestion' would be to pls put it in a container. I might just consider myself to be lucky, reason being i did not put my cherokee jeep in a container and it was not vandalised. But, what you are talking about here is a 'vogue 2006'. I would not take a risk with that. What I can do is, if you give me a call on 0044 7983124271, I can link you up with a 'responsible' and reasonable clearing agent. |
Hey Bro, The choice is yours - It depends on the reason why you want an SUV. I believe any nice vehicle would do since you would not be visiting frequently. If you have your own place where you'll be able to park the vehicle until you'll visit home again - Vogue would be nice. I am in london, before i finished my house, i used Honda (Halla) + Acura Legend (Parked at my uncles) now that I have my own place I sent home millenium cherokee jeep + with a tracker ( I am monitoring it from here in the uk). In a nutshell, it depends on you. |
Hey, you guys are doing a great job. Seun, Well done. I would be very happy if you can (help) send details about: (1) how to obtain NYSC exemption certificate (2) any job opportunity within the banking industry. I graduated from London Metropolitan University (International Relations & Business IT) and I am about to complete an MBA from the London Southbank University. I also have two years banking experience (Barclays Bank) here in the UK Thanks Laja If there is any need for you to get in touch with me other than by email, 07983124271 |
