Hello Everyone, I want to make an observation of what I noticed regarding employment here in Canada. I am writing this post to prepare everyone intending to come over here about the reality of the Employment stream for new arrivals/Immigrants

What the Bolded is saying is no matter your age or the amount of experience you have in your country employers here hardly value your international experience I'm not saying this happens to everyone but majority of people go through this problem. They go for interviews and because they view them as newcomers they offer them Minimum wage or the low compensation package. The bolded is actually a quote from an immigration writeup here in Canada and they are trying to bridge the gap.

Canada is a lovely place and you should definitely come but be prepared when I say prepared I mean mentally. A lot of students struggle with the education system and realise wow "They thought me rubbish in Nigeria" and have to adapt to the new process, the whole Country itself is a "System" you either fall in place or get kicked out.

Now, if you can secure a job with any employer to sponsor you for work permit, that will be a good option as it will cost you less to fund the process.

Then taking the student route won't likewise be bad but it will cost you more to fund the process, and in most cases many of the applicants do get denied of visa for some flimsy excuses. Though, it is still dependent on the school and the country you are applying to.

With that being said, if you can secure a job, you can go through the job permit option or preferably just apply to the canada skilled migration route as it will cost you less than the student route.

The good thing is that, once you meet the requirements for the skilled migration, you are guaranteed of your visa grant no matter how long you waited. But the student permit route has no guarantees even if you meet the requirements.

The bottom line is; if you know you can secure a direct job, then go through the work permit route or skilled migration. The only reason why you should go through the student route is when you know you don't meet the requirements of the other two options. And if you choose to pass through the student route, apply to a country that will offer you the option to stay back after your schooling cuz that's the reason for wanting to leave.

Any country that doesn't offer students an option to stay back after rounding off schooling shouldn't be on your list.

People should be very careful oo, because there are things that are happening now, more especially those living around Onitsha, Aba, Enugu, Owerri , PH and Lagos. All this keke(tricycle) riders are into Something else this days oo.

In oyigbo now you will stop a keke rider and tell him to take you to a particular place, he will charge you maybe #100, you enter and when you reach your destination. Maybe you gave him #1000 he will open that small cabin that they always put money and gave you #900 change and zoom off. And that your #1000 will remain there until the day he will go to do account for the owner of the keke. He will bring out all the money in that cabin including that your #1000 and he will summit it to the owner as an account and tomorrow the owner of that keke will take all that money to the bank, just listen ooo.

He will deposit it there including that your #1000 and bank will load some into the ATM machine, during weekend another person will use his ATM card to withdraw money from the ATM machine including that your #1000 he will go to Bar or Joint and order for Beers, Nkwobi, point and kill fish, and ugba some will take their girlfriends to hotel to eat your money. I just want to tell you that all these keke riders are eating and drinking beers with your money.

I went to work this morning but left earlier for the birthday. I on watch ball when I am at work. When I am off duty I follow up on football. I pray for my customers ticket if it will fetch me money.
