Ikaeniyan0: Shey this people get sense at all like this? The FG should dash una #100 billion
If they can't compete, let them invest their money in agriculture For years, they've been feeding extremely fat on the misfortune of the masses, making life difficult and also diverting the commodity outside via smuggling. Tinubu removed subsidy this hour, 30 minutes later, petrol price jumped up. They had banked on the resilience of Nigerians to always adapt to anything so they can continue with their business as usual. Now, Nigerians have stopped buying their commodity, they're looking for subsidy of 100 billion. It is not by force to remain in oil business. |

I don't understand why bat, apc and thier supporters feel that the masses must suffer extensively for things to get better.
Numerous countries have developed alternative energy sources without making thier citizens go through harrowing experiences.
Why must reforms in Nigeria bring sorrow to the masses? Other countries carry out reforms that bring immediate improvements for the masses, but in Nigeria, reverse is the case. You made a comment, then contradicted your comment, all in one stroke. You acknowledged the effort of government in respect of CNG, then turned to accuse it of not providing an alternative source of fuel. See Nigerians? |

You guys could not even understand that the 4 Region's maintained their boundaries under Ironsi, as well had resource control?
All you people were thinking about was that an Easterner could be sent to work in the West, a Northerner could be sent to work in the Midwest etc, and this is the Region's being abolished?
No wonder when Gowon desecrated the Aburi agreement by abolishing the 4 Region's with Decree 14, including your own Region, created 12 states, half of which he gave the North, then abolished resource control with Decree 15, you guys jumped and cheered Gowon
Your Region and control of your own resources were being stripped in front of you by Gowon, the North was being proped up with multiple states, and all you people were thinking about is who might be sent to work where?

Politics › Re: Militants Using Northern Ghana As Sahel Base, Sources Say by Seunmsg1: 9:49pm On Oct 25, 2024 |
J3susFr3ak: Seunmsg...do you know how incredibly chaotic and cursed with never-ending wars the Sahel region would have been without the external influence of colonialism from the likes of France and the Brits? Asking how this ragtag groups got their weapons is like asking Buhari how his ragtag Fulani Terrorist clan got their weapons. OF course there is an extensive network of Islamic Jihadists and terror sympathizers who help source funds and link with arms suppliers (especially from failed states like Libya and others) to forment Jihadist wars.
The Tauregs kind of allow the delusions of their ethnicity (and whatever lame suprremacist ideologies they can eke out of that--like the Fulanis also ape out to do) to fight the mostly darker skinned led governments in those regions who are in control of those areas since their independence from colonial rule.
Islam is naturally a dog-eat-dog religioun which exploits differences in ethnicity to magnify causes of its endless bloodshed and mayhem. Here is an objective study fro the Center for Preventative Action proving this fact -- https://www.cfr.org/global-conflict-tracker/conflict/violent-extremism-sahel
"Since gaining independence in the 1960s, many countries in the Sahel have experienced violent extremism due to the confluence of weak and illegitimate governance, economic decline, and the worsening effects of climate change. Violence, conflict, and crime have surged over the last decade, transcending national borders and posing significant challenges to countries both in and outside the region. The Sahel remains a principal transit point for migrants traveling from sub-Saharan Africa to northern coastal states and on to Europe. Further violence could exponentially increase the rate of displacement and migration from the region, compounding pressures on northern and coastal African states and Europe. The epicenters of violence and humanitarian disaster are in the Liptako-Gourma and Lake Chad Basin subregions.
Liptako-Gourma is in the central Sahel, in the borderlands of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. Current instability is associated with the collapse of the Libyan state in 2011, which led to the proliferation of weapons and armed fighters in the region. The influx of extremists into northern Mali reignited the dormant Tuareg rebellion [PDF] in 2012, which had previously surfaced in 1963, 1990, and 2006. Representing only 10 percent of the Malian population, the Tuareg people, organized under the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA), sought an autonomous state and aligned themselves with multiple Islamist groups, including al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), the Movement for Unity and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO), and Ansar Dine to push government forces out of the north. Then-President Amadou Toumani Touré was deposed in a March 2012 coup by the army, which disapproved of the government’s failure to suppress the rebellion. The consequent collapse of state institutions in the north enabled the MNLA to capture the regional capitals of Gao, Kidal, and Timbuktu; the group had declared the independent state of Azawad [PDF] in northern Mali by April. The MNLA quickly split from al-Qaeda and other allied Islamist groups in June following their attempt to impose Islamic law and declare an Islamic caliphate over the northern territory. " Tohhhh!! |
Politics › Re: Militants Using Northern Ghana As Sahel Base, Sources Say by Seunmsg1: 2:47pm On Oct 25, 2024 |
J3susFr3ak: The Islamic Militants in Burkina Faso lodging in Northern Ghana beg to disagree. They are fighting for an Islamic state in those Sahel Regions. It has nothing to do with the West. It is simple economic common sense. If one can produce 1 million tonnes of an economic product in a peaceful and stable climate....why would that economic asset be jeopardized by sponsoring chaos which drastically reduces production to a mere 5 thousand tonnes per annum? Who profits? No one. And who were the crusaders against the blood diamonds in the past sown in the midst of chaos? The same Westerners you are so eager to blindly accuse.
With the West it is an overiding economic interest which desires a peaceful and stable polity. With Islamic terror and Jihad....there is no desire or need for peace anywhere. Just pure bloodshed and mayhem ad infinitum. It is always the same narrative. It's unfortunate you don't see the larger and clearer picture. The president of Burkina Faso himself said it in respect to France. You ask yourself this question: where does a ragtag group of skinny and scrawny islamists get funds to buy weapons? Who supplies them and why are they so difficult to destroy by West African governments? |
Politics › Re: Militants Using Northern Ghana As Sahel Base, Sources Say by Seunmsg1: 1:12pm On Oct 25, 2024 |
Starboytwo: Wetin all this islamist want gan gan.
I'm starting to believe the Muslim religion is not of peace but of war and chaos
This people do Allahu akbar and cut person neck. And you say thats peace. The questions we need to ask is "who is funding these groups? Who is supplying or selling arms and munitions? Who is providing logistics? Who is giving them intel? The US, France and Britain is the answer. The strategy is simple; they want free access to mineral and natural resources. So they create these groups, arm them, fund them and continue to fund them. So when the governments of their target countries are busy battling with these well equipped groups, the West is busy pillaging and looting their natural resources. These militants, with the help of Western powers, capture swaths of territories where the resources are while the government forces continue to be overpowered. Then the Oyinbos have unfettered access to them. |

klintoski: The Enugu State police command has confirmed the arrest of two young men in the state for allegedly struggling a 52-year-old Mrs. Patience Nkem Charles to death.
A statement by the command's spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe said the suspects, Okoro Chukwuebuka Kingsley, aged 24 conspired with his friend, Ogbonna Samuel Chiedozie, aged 18, to murder their victim at Abomini Street, Independence Layout, Enugu on the 14th of October, 2024.
Ndukwe said preliminary investigation revealed that the crime was motivated by a grudge Kingsley held from his time as the victim's former security guard in 2021.
He added that the two suspects have "confessed to strangling the victim in her home, leading to their arrest through police intelligence.
"They have already been arraigned in court and remanded in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Custodial Centre."

Bigkoko: The mindset of a witch is one that rejects progress. No matter how exposed, educated, or well-traveled they may seem, a deeply rooted serpentine bloodline runs through them, compelling them to pull down anyone who dares to challenge the status quo or seek progress. Know this, and know peace.
A so-called blogger Tunde Ednut once claimed that Igbos should not be allowed to ascend to the presidency. Yet, many of his kind are already succumbing to hunger and even suicide. Their arrogance and refusal to embrace change lead only to their own downfall. And his only reason is that of the fear of BIAFRA. Thoughts like these embodies the hardliners among we Igbos elling us t our face..."SEE!" "WE TOLD Y"ALL NDI ONE NIGERIA!" If a supposed well travelledand socially inclined prson like him wil have this kind of mentality, now compared with the Ageros who do the dirty, shoddy jobs for them..the alayes, the miscreants, the free loaders, the lazy clowns, even those here on nairaland!
When dealing with such people, take them on as business partners only with clear, strict guidelines. Keep your distance beyond that, for they despise your boldness, your audacity to break barriers, and your ability to win against all odds. Their nature is inherently wicked, driven by envy and malevolence beyond ordinary comprehension. Tufiakwaaaa, as it is said in spiritual tongues known ONLY to custodians of the Ancient mysteries associated with the children of G-d!
They talk of BRIDGES...What a shallow, despicable fellows with no honor!
Keep your damn, fake bridges and alliances of NEPOTISM + CORRUPTION to yourselves. A real bridge connects two different countries with clear guidelines for migration and cooperation. This is the type of bridges we prefer. I know that’s too much for you (educated elites and agberos alike)to grasp. You and your kind want bridges you can dismantle during elections, isn’t that right? I spite on your heads. Without the Igbos, you can remove even Mount Kilimajaro bridges for all we care. And if your migration policies dont favor us, we will simply look towards Chad, cameroon or even Afghanistan...we can do it as you can attest.
This generation will not fight you with guns but with the POWER of pen, social media and the prowess of our G-d given intelligience until you fall and bow to our Will. This time now, is your own time to forge and design your own Will according to the dictates of your wish. Our time is coming and it will come!
Last line. Well, keep your crumbling bridges. The only bridges we value are those connecting Igboid villages, towns, and cities—solid and enduring, built to uplift our people and preserve our progress. Biko, we prefer those.
Thankio in Asiwaju bulablu language! Continue your grandstanding. It will end in failure as usual. Whoever told you that a tribe can bully it's way or get presidency on a platter is joking. |
