The thinking that some people have exclusive call on stocks on this forum is dangerous for those who outsource their analyses. No one was more against OANDO on this forum more than a particular elder on this forum. Any gains on the stock's share is always a trigger for viperous outbursts everytime. I even thought that he must have lost a great deal trading the stock. However, by his own admission, he never owns a single unit of the stock!!!! What then was his grievance about? Perhaps there is a new phenomenon that we can refer to as 'Anger of Missing Out' (AMO). The 'experts' think that if they did not see a new high potential stock in the horizon, then it should not appear. It should die before it grows. No stocks suffer this bitter venom spitting more than Ellah, Oando and Zichis... in the hands of this 'elder stockman'. |
On OANDO. Imagine Otedola being the CEO of OANDO. By now, it will be trading at 4500 naira . Man pass man. |
The recent NTB of Wednesday refers. Neither my interest (upfront) or return of capital has been done. What is going on. Anyone else in this situation? |
OANDO getting lucky day by day! |
megawealth01:Please explain |
The interesting thing about any stock, including the OANDI is that as you are fearfully selling due to 'oanido don cast' music; someone else is buying greedily... or strategically!!! |
yMcy56:Anchoria or not, Oando will soon get to where 10% of Aradel will not be bigger than oando. |
megawealth01:Possible. |
emmanuelewumi:Only if you did not reinvest the said revenue in another stock. They need to also provide clarity of filing process.... |
On the Capital Gain Tax, CGT, below are my thoghts: 1. Government will not be able to execute it yet because of the thorny issues that borders on the actual value of the shares. How will you tax a supposed 'gain' on a share bought at 30 naira when dollars was 1 usd to 180 naira and sold at 70 naira when 1 USD is 1500 naira. Is that a gain or a loss? 2. Even if government successfully tax the investors, the foreign investors especially will just sell off and leave the market. This will lead to market crash and erosion of confidence in the future. No one wants to near such monkey business. 3. It will be difficult in the future for companies to raise capital via the stock market as the government is bent on eroding the capital base of the investors. 4. The CGT shows lack of in-depth thinking on the part of our policy makers and law makers. 5. The actual percentage of the tax is not known yet. This shows that the government is just testing the waters. 6. The tax law is punishing the bigger investors. This is against normal practice all over the world. Government is supposed to protect the bigger investors. I think if the government goes ahead and execute the law, they will be embarking on a journey of degrading the Nigeria stock market. |
SpaceX:Drop your account number and name here. Let's take it up from there. |
jckgroup1:Please consider the following calculation: The remaining outstanding shares currently is 8, 152,370,477 Currently to be shared in tranche 1 is 641,856,301 This correspond to 1 in 12.7 of current outstanding shares. After the Tranche 1, the OS becomes 8,794,226,778 . Tranche 2 number of shares to share is still 641,856,301 However, this has become 1 in 13.7 However, if you didn't sell any of the shares after Trache 1....the numbers of shares that you woulld get should be same as what you got in Tranche 1 But since the company has chosen to use 1 new share for every 12 shares instead of 12.7 shares...the ratio they will use in the Tranche 2 might be different as well. After the Tranche 2 and given that you did not sell or buy any, then your OANDO shares must have increased by 15.7% of what you started with. |
Sunrisepebble:continue on the following page o |
Agbalowomeri:What will be Wale's own holding in such arrangement? Less than 5%? |
My Aradel is negative 29% . In House experts on Aradel, please come o. I want to know what is happening here! |
Sunrisepebble:This speaks volumes.... |
megawealth01:₦4.1 Trillion naira cash circulating among 200 million people is not much. That is about 20 thousand naira only per person on the average. Do they know how much dollars in cash is circulating in Nigeria? CBN need strategic thinkers!! |

O&O has achieved what no other indigenous oil and gas company has achieved. Let's call it Uche, Segun, David, Babangida, Abidoshaker, Emmanuel, Mercy, Seun, etc. More grace. |
On this matter of O&O Financial Statement will be out and show what's up. It is clear that the crystal ball did not reveal the turnaround on time to our in house experts. Nothing to worry about. The asset of that O&O just acquired is jointly owned with federal government. No issues with loans. Even IOCs use loans for both capital expenditures and operating expenditures. There is something called gearing ratio. It is a measure of the effectiveness of loans utilized |
emmanuelewumi:Nice one. I need to start trading on NASD. Can you please provide guidance? |
O&O The hullabaloo about this one company on the forum is becoming too deafening. Imagine people who by their own account have either sold or they never had the shares of the said company always coming to warn others everyday to dump the shares and invest in their own stocks.... Is that not an advanced form of monkey-hunting? If you are comfortable with NEStler, please stay with it. If yours is Lake Elijah, do same. If you are still in O&O but want to exit...do so. No one here is stopping you. After you are done selling, do not insult those who bought from you. Remember that as some are selling, others are buying. |
emmanuelewumi:No one knows for sure. It is just an estimate. It could be more than 1050 even. DD advised |
THE DEAL Finally sealed. Journey to 750 at first instance has commenced. Some clauses in the OANDO publications are normal best practices where the said operation is mining. No one knows 100% what the reserves are. This is best practice in the whole world. Wale or not. |
IB Right Issue Any updates?? |
E no cast. Deal of the decade. |
ok |
No worries. Machete sharpened. IntBrew oo oo oo oo oo oo |
The deal will sail through. No worries. IntBrew is giving someone sleepless night |
OANDOO The deal! The real deal!! The very real deal!!! |
SonofElElyonRet:'Peer-to-peer' Analysis Consider the stock price of the parent company that they are acquiring. Also, consider the share price of their similar contemporary in Nigeria. i.e. SEPLATT |
