mamaafrik: I feel u just need to be closer to God more , he give him thanks . Has been ur there for u making a way where there seems to he no way . Making u victorious over ur enemies and negative situations. Most people who has such dreams has been destined to be great but they still need to be a close relationship with God 1 Like |

Nairaland / General / Re: Amotekun = Cheetah Ekun = Leopard by seunphotography(m): 11:17pm On Feb 16, 2020 |
manlawal: There may be blunders in his interpretation but ekun as leopard is not one of them . How do u expain ekun as tiger when you have never seen tiger, how can u have a name for an animal u've never knew exists until the innovations of media such as televisions and magazine Our people started calling tiger Ekun cos of the resemblance when they saw it on media . Almost same reason cheetah is called AMO KO TO EKUN (amotekun) There is leopard in Africa There is cheetah in Africa There is no tiger in Africa |
Nairaland / General / Amotekun = Cheetah Ekun = Leopard by seunphotography(m): 10:58pm On Feb 16, 2020 |
There is no Tiger in Africa, Yoruba language can't have a word for an animal that was never seen . Ekun is Leopard which is common in africa while Amotekun ( Ekun noni AMO KO TO EKUN gangan) is cheetah. Ajayi Crowther who translated the English bible into yoruba language also referred to Leopard as Ekun , Isaiah 11: 6 check both Yoruba and English bible for confirmation. It is the recent generation who that has been able to see a tiger on TV or Paper that started calling tiger ekun which is wrong.. yoruba has no name for Tiger . Ekun is leopard. Amotekun is cheetah. |
