Actually, the above was an incorrect translation. The correct translation should be 'My child' not 'My son'.

Well done, my brother! That's the way to reach to the NFF not by ranting on Nairaland or by posting on the NFF twitter feed. If you have good information to benefit naija footie then contact the decision makers asap. Some folks here have access to them. Thank you very much!

tbaba1234:
Maduka Okoye..

The process that led to his switch to Nigeria was led by average Nigerians who contacted the boy via social media, learnt that he was interested and made Pinnick talk to the boy directly. I know the people who led the process.

The goalkeeping position is currently very thin, we do not have many young prospects but our scouting is still very poor. Why has Nwokolor not being invited??

The likes of Maduka Okoye and Zaccala could be the future if they develop well. Oremade is tall but i have not seen him make a decent save yet.

So you think that anything you post on the NFF twitter feed actually get to the high echelons of the NFF? Ol' boy, you must be super naïve.
Listen, the NFF twitter page is run by a low level staff who doesn't even have access to the power that be in the organization. If you need to reach out to the NFF, better contact the folks who have access to the NFF leadership.

realpoacher:
Its annoying to see that our rant here amounts to nothing, yet we go on and on and on arguing daily about everything bad concerning our football.

I think is better we find a way of getting our thoughts and discussion over to the NFF somehow. Its either we further our discussion on the NFF Twitter page or do something else.

We screamed to high heavens during the AYC about these Grandpas yet Mr Paul flew them over to Poland.

We have been screaming loud here and tracking most of our Foreign boys here yet they keep getting ignored while their resident countries snap them up.

We on this thread have to do something, anything somehow. Our suggestions, our cry, our comments must be heard. If the lazy NFF have to follow this thread as scouting ground for our boys overseas, I don't care.

Cc tbaba, icons, christkels, thegoodjoe, andrew44, junnyjake, forgiveness, komekn, Bascovanveli, Humility, etc you guys have to spearhead this one way or another

Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by SexynSerious(f): 5:16pm On May 24, 2019
I totally agree!

Schemerkhiz:

The Coach should be the one answering this question because i see no reasons to play 3-5-2 when you have deadly strikers upfront...
how will Ordega, Oparanozie, Oshoala and even Kanu have playing time...
Benching any of the O trio is probably not a good idea.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by SexynSerious(f): 4:59pm On May 24, 2019
Got it. But why do we have to play 3-5-2 when our 3 best players are forwards?

Why can't we play 3-4-3 or 4-3-3?

olapluto:

The coach cannot play the 3 of Oshoala, Oparanozie and Ordega in a 3-5-2 formation, else he is looking for imbalance, except if Ordega plays as a wing back, and that will involve a lot of tracking back.

tbaba1234:

Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by SexynSerious(f): 4:09pm On May 24, 2019
So are you trying to argue that the level of a team's performance (in everything: passing, dribble runs, etc.) has no correlation to the quality of the opponent in front of them?

LOL. Like I had previously stated, it's men like yourself who turn women like myself into legends grin

Earthquake3:

Long passes are can be misplaced when playing lower oppositions, for the fact that they were able to play their diagonal balls and bring it down perfectly if they are faced with superior opposition and they find space they would be able to do the same

Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by SexynSerious(f): 3:36pm On May 24, 2019
I am not a bro so put down whatever you're smoking. You're still not making any sense.

Teams don't score goals, individuals players do. When a team is made of good goal scorers then that team is bound to score goals. A player like Samuel Eto'o or Didier Drogba don't leave their scoring booths behind when playing for their national teams!

Got it shocked

Humility017:

how will explain this to you nah?
let me say it again....

AFRICA TEAMS...I MEAN NATIONAL TEAMS RARELY KNOW HOW TO SCORE GOALS....THEY RARELY KNOW HOW TO SCORE GOALS.

THEY OFTEN MISS CHANCES AND I USED TGE TAHITI TEAM WE PLAYED AT THE CONFEDERATIONS CUP AS A CASE STUDY.

hope this help bro...
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by SexynSerious(f): 3:30pm On May 24, 2019
Ordega a sub? How is that possible? She was arguably our best player at the last Woman AFCON.

Who do you think is going to take her position?

olapluto:

Actually this is more like what we will see in France. Except Oshoala for Kanu and Anam Imo keeps her place. Ordega will probably be a sub.
Uchenna Kanu is a good sub too. I wish the team could play a good friendly few days to the start so the can test their tactics.

And the team is not made up of the players, ba?

LOL grin

Humility017:

I said Africa teams and not Africa players please...
those players obviously did so well because of the club they played for...the team cohesiveness and compact.
I mean Africa teams....national teams rarely know how to score goals.....

remember at the world cup Senegal manage to win panama...don't think they even won the match self...
same with Tunisia and Nigeria where a player putting on the No.9 missed a seater same scenario the Argentine scored to make it 2:1
Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by SexynSerious(f): 3:08pm On May 24, 2019
*Ahem*

Dude, actually, that's not true. You can be very good at long passes and short passes plus all what not when you're playing a mediocre team. But when you play a quality side, you'll get no room/space to make those long passes.

Got it

Earthquake3:

Long passes are long passes, they can transfer from one side to the other very well
Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by SexynSerious(f): 2:52pm On May 24, 2019
Yet 3 African players topped the EPL scoring chart this season (Salah, Mane, and Ayuba). And by the way, are the following players not Africans: Roger Miller, Abedi Pele, George Weah, Samuel Eto'o, Didier Drogba, Rashidi Yekini, Victor Ikpeba, Richard Owubokiri, Yakubu Aiyegbemi, etc etc.

So what da heck are you talking about, eh

Humility017:

wait until a european nation or south america country play that Tahiti
then you will know that Senegal missed couple of chances to have
made it double.... same thing happened to Nigeria at the confederations cup
we won Tahiti 6 nil...only for Spain to wallop them 12 nil and uruguay 7 nil

Africa teams rarely know how to score goals... that has been our problem
since ages

LOL. I didn't say that he's dead. I was just listing a series of possibilities. Like I said, anything is possible.

I wasn't trying to say that he's dead. And I pray and hope that he's alive and kicking. But that's still a possibility, not just for him but for anybody else. You can see somebody today but ask about him/her tomorrow and the person is dead. That's life sad
