If yes can I do that after the application deadline or after the admission? I think it depends on your department... So you try contact your department. When I applied it was required. |

edwinbiz: Everyone should consider applying to University of Regina, they accept almost everyone and in a few weeks too. (Review their admission requirements and apply )
University of winnipeg and manitoba are also accepting applications at a massive rate.
As well as thompson rivers university, they even have their adverts everywhere asking students to apply!
Greetings from Regina sk and goodluck. Bro I think the prob with university of Manitoba is securing a supervisor don't know of others tho. I tried for u of Manitoba, it was easy I must say lol |

teeyboy: Hello guys, i intend applying to universities in Canada for an undergraduate program in aeronautic/aerospace engineering in fall 2017 or winter 2018 with the sole aim of becoming a pilot, kindly advise on good universities that are reasonable in tuition fees that i can apply to. Also do you think i should go for any of these programs first before proceeding to flight school or should i just go to the aviation/flight schools directly . I will appreciate good suggestions from the gurus in the house or anyone that is currently taking these programs thanks all. It all depends on you bruh. If your aim is becoming a pilot, then go for piloting. You don't need a first degree to put in for piloting course, so why waste your cash and time. Aerospace is wide so if you wanna seek knowledge cool. About universities with reasonable tuition lol, I think the cheapest is U of Manitoba also check out Concordia, Carleton, Toronto and Ryerson uni. Can't really tell what UG tuition is like... I only know of masters tuitions. All the best. |

esosa4real: Thanks much but I have already gone far in the Canadian scheme.
Plus OZ has its own many challenges in the beginning stages which do not fsvour me but truth be told, the opportunities are better in oz....also see the below contrast a colleague from the Canada thread.
Yeah, they both have their pros and cons. These are what I have been able to gather from the 2 systems.
Australia Pros 1. POF not required 2. Age does not drop points significantly 3. BSc and Msc. get the same point 4. It takes roughly about 1 month to get PPR after AOR 5. You can get ITA with zero work experience (especially for Engineers) 6. It favours those with high number of years of work experience 7. It favours Engineers as most Engineers have their job code under SOL List and CSOL list and Engineer Australia can be very fast to evaluate qualifications 8. You can decide to write PTE instead of IELTS. People say PTE is easier
Cons 1. Application fee is about 3 times that of Canada 2. You will not only evaluate your certificate, you will have to evaluate your work experience as well if you plan to claim points for work experience 3. No of years of work experience are often reduced after evaluation 4. It can take ages to get work experience evaluated 5. You only get points at all if you have 3 or more years of work experience 6. You need all 7s in IELTS to get 10 points for language and all 8s to get 20 points 7. if your occupation is not under SOL list or CSOL list, it is nearly impossible to get PR 8. It is nearly impossible for Medical doctors, lawyers, etc for to get PR as they will need to pass their professional exams first before applying 9. Work experience must be in the same NOC as your academic qualification for it to count.
Canada Pros 1. Application fee is reasonable 2. You do not need to evaluate work experience 3. Good for Medical doctors and others in regulated professions 3. You just need to target 8.5,8,7.5 and 7.5 in LRSW 4. There is no SOL/CSOL List. You will qualify once your NOC code is under 0,A or B 5. Work experience does not have to be in the same NOC as your academic qualification for it to count. 6. You just need 3 year work experience for you to get maximum score under work experience
Cons 1. POF is required 2. Without MSc or a "professional" qualification, you will have to rely on PNP to get above 450 3. PNP is very difficult to get 4. Age has a huge impact on your score 5. Work experience does not count after 3 years 6. It takes about 6 months after AOR to get PPR. 7. You will need the combination of this 3 to get above 450: good IELTS score, 3 year work experience, MSc/2 or more qualifications/regulated professions
Please be free to add more to allow people to decide on which route to pursue. Nice write up. I'm tryna learn on procedures for Australian visa. looking from given facts on here I guess these informations are restricted to skilled workers or PR Immigrants. please correct me if i'm wrong, i'm still seeking for informations. |

BADNEAT: the 60points has nothing to do with getting a study visa but permanent residency application...if you plan staying after study google and search the sol or csol to ensure your course of study is on the list Thanks for the reply. So once I could find my course on sol or csol list i no longer require 60 points even after studies? |

Austinpee4: Bro, i think i can remember you and your case. I also remember i responded to your previous worry. Anywhere, from your application dashboard, CIC hasn't requested for a medical examination from you yet. otherwise, you would see "we need your medical information" on this dashboard and if they even did during the 2 months you couldn't link your application like your are worried they may have, by now, they probably would have closed and refused your application for failing to complete a medical examination as requested. So relax and be hopefull it comes sooner. Now you have linked it online, all correspondence from them will be from this account. So keep checking it frequently. Thanks a lot bro @Austinpee4 |

Please gurus help me on this.... I submitted an application paper route on 27th October. Never received mail from cic or vfs so I returned to vfs office Lagos to complain. After lots of conversations I was told I didn't include my email address on my application ( which I know I did ). Vfs promised to fix the issue .... Which I was told the ratified before I left Lagos. Couldn't link my application online until December 25 (after almost 2 months). My fear if my medical was requested before I was able to link my application (dec 25) would it still reflect in my linked application? Below is what my application states.... It's 10 weeks since I submitted

Austinpee4: Smh @VFS and they won't admit it's their error. This is just one of their many inadequacies. My dear, If you are sure you filled your form correctly with your email address too, be rest assured the embassy will contact you when they need your medical examination with the email address you filled.Just keep checking your email regularly and also your junk/spam mails. If a vital information like email or telephone number or evn contact info wasn't in your application form, it would have been returned to you by the embassy for you to make proper input because they can only stay intouch with you with the info you filled in your form. Apparently, Vfs just deducted money for sms and all but failed to live up to their responsibility of reaching you through that medium. They will never admit this. The embassy will most definitely reach you if they need anything from you. You have nothing to worry over. Thanks a lot Austinpee4.... God bless. Aswear these guys gon make a niggur develope high blood pressure. Sometimes I just wanna pretend like I got zero worries but down there I know that's not true. To all em TRV applicants waiting on God one thing is certain "IT WILL END IN PRAISE" |

Tho vfs promised to help fixing it but what if the system has demanded my medicals before now ? Please what do I do ? |

U Philipsmac: I applied for admission in Germany. I got all the requirements including confirmation of payment into my blocked account in Deutsch Bank ready for my visa interview in Lagos. However, I applied for Bachelor's programme instead of Master's degree. My HND Certificate was not sufficient to secure admission into Master degree programme. I had my HND 12 years ago. However, I was refused visa. What could responsible for the refusal? I was denied a month ago.(September, 2015). What may I do to secure my visa? The consular officer asked why did I applied for Bachelor's programme instead of Master's degree. I told her my HND could not secure admission for Master degree. I am looking forward to hearing from you. OGHUVWU please how did you send your documents to Germany.... And did you authenticate your transcripts at the court or embassy ? |
