CHECK THIS.... Politics / How Card Readers Can Be Compromised And Solutions?

SOLUTIONS TO CARD-READERS PROBLEMS IN THE ONGOING ELECTION IN NIGERIA



-THE FIRST PROBLEM THAT COULD RAISE EYE BROW Was if INEC and ACT TECHNOLOGY COY.,the supplier of the Reader machines 'FAILED' NOT TO UPGRADE Firmware after INEC first Verification Exercises before election D-day( in this case both field and Company based Upgrades is very important).

-INEC Officer(s) holding Card reader must be patient enough for the first time he/she slots the card to read otherwise, could obstructs the whole process if removed intermitently.

-INEC Officer(s) should remove the Card from the Electronically Opague Sleeve of Card Reader(s) gently.

-INEC Officer(s) should hold the card less than One (1) inch from Reader OR closely contact connected to Card-Reader for proper and faster reading of voter cards.

-INEC Officer(s) should just try ON/OFF Reboot for Ten(10) seconds and could solve the Problems

-INEC Officer(s) Should allow the Reader to charge to full range and in support of extra charging Units if the needs Neccessary(Depending the Voltage of the Card Reader)





PROBLEMS COULD ALSO ARISSED FROM MASSES(Voters) if their Permanent Voter Identification Card Compromises with through wrongly mishandled I.e tamper with 'MAGNETIC STRIPE' on their cards.( This is called Damaged Card Antenna).



All the above mentioned points could be used to rectify the errors as soon as possible not to undermine the Electoral process going on in Nigeria.



Lastly, INEC should have external Information Technicians that could support their In-house Engineers if things gone awry.
