TravelRe: Some Reasons Why Nigerians Abroad Are Not Coming Home by shadowhunter15(f): 3:29am On Apr 02, 2015
erico2k2:
well like I always say to people, Abroad is for the young hustlers, don't come abroad when you are above 29 years of age, thats wrong timing.Abroad is an Avenue to get initial capital for one to set up in life,I was lucky enough to travel just at 23 years of age not many people are that lucky some came when they where 35, papers will remove 10 years from their life except the pros. add 12 years to your age at arrival, grand pa don come be that.
My parents came in their 40s with us kids and were able to become successful in less than ten years...they also came from an impoverished background in Edo State...

TravelRe: Many Nigerians Living In Nigeria Hate Nigerians In Diaspora, Jealous Much? by shadowhunter15(f): 6:20am On Sep 02, 2013
I actually read all of this out of sheer boredom, and I have to say, what a load of rubbish. To the OP, what makes you so special above Nigerians living in Nigeria? You aren't any better than them, its just by chance and by faith. Instead of verbally abusing and bashing them via the internet. Now, to the Nigerians also bashing each other out of pride and patriotism, you can't say anything about the West unless you've actually lived or visited their yourself. Neither party has any right to talk. You can't deny that the West has major problems and you can't deny that Nigeria doesn't either. I know for a fact that I can't say anything about Nigeria since i've lived in the USA for pretty much all my childhood and haven't gone back once. I am in no position to speak ill about it and I won't anyway.

Music/RadioNiagerian Directioners? by shadowhunter15(op): 10:29am On Aug 10, 2013
Are there any Nigerian Directioners (One Direction) or punk/rock bands fans out there? I'm curious since the number of teens I've met hate bands like those and would rather listen to rap or hip hop. Hopefully, someone will prove me wrong...
TravelRe: The Truth About Living Abroad by shadowhunter15(f): 11:47pm On Aug 08, 2013
Wow. So many mixed views and opinions about living abroad. I have to agree with the majority of people that there are more opportunities in America than Nigeria. My dad came to America at the age of 42 with nothing but a suitcase yet look where he is now. He had a degree in teaching and went to medical school in Nigeria yet he was making less than the bare minimum. In less than seven years he was able to buy a 300k house even at his age that people say is too old to come here. Same with my uncle who is far richer than us in New York City. If you have an education, experience and determination, hard work, and ambition you can easily succeed here. Everyone is always talking about how racist and conniving the White man is. Have you ever lived in a White neighborhood? They are far nicer than your average Black American. Whenever I mention that i'm Nigerian they always see it with respect as opposed to Black Americans who start mocking you. The average for mortgage is 30 years? Are you serious? My parents told me it was 15 years and some can beat that. My family are die hard Nigerians and even they admit that its better over here. The only one good thing they can say about Nigeria is that you don't have to pay mortgage, yet my grandma will still boast about its much better than Nigeria and she's spent most of her life here since she got the visa. That's the problem with Nigeria, national pride gets in the way of the obvious....

American citizen for life and nothing will ever change that! Though I admit I kind of want to vacation in the rich parts of Nigeria for a bit..
FamilyRe: Are Intelligent Women Less Likely To Want Children? by shadowhunter15(f): 5:49am On Aug 08, 2013
I wouldn't necessarily say that intelligent women don't want to have kids. More like career driven women or people who know they can't handle it. I'm still a teen and even I know I won't be having children. I can already tell I can't handle it by how stressed my parents are about me and my sisters right now. I pity them lol..we're on in our puberty/teenage stages right now D:
People who don't want kids because they know they aren't cut for it are doing a favor for society.
FamilyRe: My Parents Threatened To Bring Me Back To Nigeria For Bad Behaviour by shadowhunter15(f): 4:49am On Aug 08, 2013
Why is it so hard for me to understand the sentences you guys type sad
To the OP: not sure if you're just being an attention seeker but they are really just pulling your legs. My parents use that excuse with me, though I don't think they mean it. Would anyone deport a child back because she would rather be online than at the mall? Best of lucksmiley
RomanceRe: Why Are Nigerian Women In The USA So Easy? by shadowhunter15(f): 11:18pm On Aug 06, 2013
We're easy? HAHAHAHAHAHA You are hilarious. Not even. It could take years before we even show interest in dating...
FamilyRe: Wife Cooks Badly by shadowhunter15(f): 1:49pm On Aug 06, 2013
You are all seriously deluded. This is the type of mind set that prevents me or my sisters from wanting to go back to Nigeria. The women do most of the work and have the most stresses in the marriage. The men expect you to work your asses off to make ends meet, then enslave ourselves in The kitchen and housework. Get off your high horses that women are meant to be in the kitchen and taking care of the children that you are also responsible.Cases show that woman are typically smarter than guys. Its a fact. This is one of the reasons why I love America where traditional values don't apply and people are subject to change. Over there, still fighting over tribal relations.Yes, maybe I will remain single but i'm perfectly content with that. I'll rather support myself and my parents any day. So glad i'm not attracted to African/Nigerian guys.

RomanceRe: Of Course Many Nigerian Girls Look Unattractive Without Make Up And Fake Hair by shadowhunter15(f): 11:04pm On Aug 04, 2013
I don't know how I was able to stumble upon this, but I did and I am very intrigued by it. First of all, Nigerian men have the right to judge women? Look at yourself in the mirror, I highly doubt any of you are as attractive as Dylan O'brian or David Cumberbatch. You are going to generalize an entire group of women? Not all of us wear weave or wear jeans all the time. Some of us wear those things not because we're simply insecure, but its our preferences. I for one detest skirts with a burning passion. Not all of us wear makeup either. If I wore makeup my mom would disown me, and I look cute without it...when I bother to brush my hair. You guys are also a bunch of hypocrites. How many of yourselves find themselves attracted to these supposed women who look unattractive without any of these materialistic things.
FYI Nigerian men are usually uglier. Its a fact though my opinion is pretty biased. I don't know many Nigerians besides my parents and they are pretty white :/
Lol I wonder if my credibility will decrease if I state the fact that i'm a teenage girl who people never guess is Nigerian :/
