I applied on the 14oct. Then I got an on-demand hirevue interview with Baker Hughes ( 4 business days later ) presicely on the 18th .

During my interview I had 7 pre-recorded questions to answer in 20 minutes using 3minutes for each.

From my understanding I think the questions asked where generally derived from my CV based on Projects (how I led in a project, how I executed a project with a short time line, a time when one of my decisions met with opposition, a time I made a mistake and what I learned from it, a time I used past experience from work or school to solve a technical problem).

I interviewed on the 25th Oct at exactly 3a.m and got a status update (approximately 2 business days) on the 29th Oct . This is November and I am yet to check my account for application status update. I'll share any relevant info when I check by Sunday. I hope this might help for any one being skeptical about his/her application status.

For those waiting for the BHE invites please kindly quote my reply. Lets share ideas on how best to prepare for the event. Just incase we find ourselves on the same group. December is a couple weeks away. We are this together and preparation meets perfection. Let God's will be done!

My status got updated today to " we are considering you for this position"

Actually, what your status is saying is that, your application is still under the stage of thorough sifting and its being matched with other applications. From my observation, your current status is such that takes a lengthy time (cannot precisely estimate) before it changeS to "considering you", especially now that there are more submissions and sifting.

Give it short time. All the best!

Thanks Babatunde. Is there a specific time frame after the digital interview before it changes to "we are currently considering you for this position".

Mine still says "your application is being considered".

I am fully in support of this. I just stumbled on this thread a month ago. And reading as far back as 2013 till date has increased my catfish knowledge tremendously. For example, about two weeks ago my fishes were very sick I had to employ some of the novel approaches here to see through the situation. Imagine if @Robonski had created a whatsapp group instead of this thread in 2013 how can we access the information in 2019?

Please lets join hands to revive this invaluable platform. I am a young and enthusiastic catfish farmer (currently serving though).

Edit the link, by removing "www." and replacing with just "ss". For example, www.youtube.com becomes ssyoutube.com.

The government decided to make the exams simple enough for her citizens to scale through without any problem, you're just someone who's ungrateful and tends to complain on everything. The recruitment wasn't published online and that truncated the number of applicants to a very great extent, they didn't just want to call us for a interview without a test, they made the test so simple that someone who was a dumbass in school will still scale through and you're here complaining.

Sincerely speaking, you are a case. " someone who's ungrateful and tends to complain about everything" such extreme statement to someone you barely know. Yes, agreed that truncated alot of candidates. However, with the mammoth crowd I saw the other day and the number they plan on employing, I think you need to rethink your self acclaimed absence of competition. And finally, I think you need to work on your words choice. Trust me a "dumbass" will not scale through that test. I believe even the smart ones would struggle. Ever heard of the quote that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Or best put try reading state and capital in alphabetical order. So simple/easy is highly relative!

when organizing such test its assume all candidates are good in their field so u need to test them on other areas, ever wondered why dragnet uses numerical, verbal, abstract reasoning in testing?

This explanation is understandable. In reality I guess I was only disappointed because I have written the GRE and TOEFL, hence I was expecting that to enhance my chances.

it's not about being simple or hard. Why not test the skills or aptitude needed to thrive in an Engineering industry. If those questions were really a good test of aptitude GMAT, GRE and even Dragnet with all their research capabilities would have inculcated same. All I'm saying is don't ask questions that even a medical student would have an edge over engineers in acing it for an engineering position.

Abeg shey na engineers they wan recruit or na doctors, that kind biology wey they ask na wao. A good medical student stands a better chance of acing this test thsn an engineer that took technical drawing instead of biology.

honestly, I was really disappointed at the organizers. Well let's hope and pray we scale through to the next stage. I'm sure the oral interview would be better.

Those who have written the test should tell us what the questions are like.. what are the expectations based on your experience? there may be new invite for test still

did you submit CV. General knowledge questions. Current affairs, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.... Not a single calculation. The only Electrical question I saw is the SI unit of a resistor

* the number of TCN regions
* constituent ratios for things like mortar, cement. You might need some basic ideas of other engineering disciplines.
*ohms law, hookes law, voltage divider theorem, current divider theorem and how to apply them.
*voltage levels in the power sector i.e the voltage levels for generation, transmission and distribution
*the nigerian presidents since 1999 and other general knowledge questions
* date of nepa unbundling, date of privitization.
* minister of power, TCN MD
* study spatial reasoning, verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning questions(like dragnet)
* avoid guessing as much as possible.
*Why is power transmitted at high voltage level

But I use screen guard all the time.. The longest time I have spent so far without a screen protector was 4 hours I think... I think I got a solution on xda, by turning off Miui optimisation in developer options

I had similar issues on my Redmi 5 plus until I updated to MIUI 10. If you have pending updates try and update it.

Please guys how do I go about applying and getting an admission and a fully funded scholarship to study in UK, USA or CANADA. Please my GRE exam is few wks away and I don't have plans of which school to apply or even how to secure a scholarship subsequently. Please any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Visit the score higher on GRE thread. I'm sure you would get your questions answered there.

Yes you can apply. Test and interview would be in April, so if you pass the test, be ready to explain yourself at the interview.

have you submitted your transcript. If you have I think that's all I was mandated to submit also. There is a page requesting for source of funding. I believe indicating CSC there is enough to link the school with your CSC application.

The only thing I'm skeptical about is the fact that I wasn't asked to submit reference on the Heriot Watt University portal.
