My name is Nora, a 41-year-old married woman. I have four sons and one daughter who is the last child and baby of the house.

My daughter came when I had almost lost hope of having a female child and she became my best friend and confidante.

I love my daughter so much and can even give my life for her. My husband, Ndubuisi, also dotes on her without pampering her.

His family too also love her a lot and they take turns in having her over for holidays but all that has changed as my husband's younger brother, Collins, a 30-year-old man raped my daughter when he came to visit us two weeks ago.

The painful thing is that the family wants me to keep quiet about the abuse of my baby so that its name would not be brought into disrepute.

They have been mounting pressure on me and my husband not to report the case to the police because it would ruin their reputation.

Ndubuisi too seems to agree with them and has been begging me to play down the rape and should not do anything to escalate the matter.

But my family members are not thinking in that line as they want me to take up the case or they would do it on my behalf.

Isaac Sekav Ahungwa who rode on a bicycle from Ibadan, Oyo State to Makurdi after completing his National Youth Service, has been offered
automatic employment by Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State.

Ortom announced this Monday when he received Ahungwa at the state government house in Makurdi.

He described the young man as a determined son of the state whose example should be emulated by others.
Ortom said his decision to offer automatic employment to Ahungwa was to encourage other young people never to give up on their dreams no matter the challenges they face.

Speaking after receiving his offer of employment, Isaac Ahungwa said the life story of Governor Ortom inspired him to embark on the patriotic tour riding a bicycle from Ibadan to State.

My name is Chioma, a 36-year-old woman who has been married for 10 years with three children.
But as things have turned out, I am not sure I will be able to stay in my marriage after I found out that my husband, Ebuka, has another wife with four children.
And the most painful thing is that I found out only at his father's burial two months ago and all his explanations have not convinced me in any way.

The man said I should just accept the situation and continue to live as one family. I was thrown into a state of shock at the revelation and naturally, I stormed out of the meeting and went to my quarters.
Ebuka later came and explained to me that he and the woman had separated by the time we got married but that the family members had been on his neck to bring her back.
But since then, I have not been myself and I have vowed to take my children and leave him with his first wife.

A British woman allegedly gang-raped by two men from the UK in Dubai faces jail after police accused her of having sex outside marriage.

Former WWE champion and one of the world’s highest-paid actors, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has been named by People Magazine as the 2016 Sexiest Man Alive. On Dwayne's thoughts when he first heard about his latest title, he said:

The Headies 2016 nominees list has been greeted with many a controversy, from artists who believe they ought to be nominated in a particular category to others who feel they don't belong in a particular category of nominees.
Yung6ix has expressed his grievances arguing that his lead single 'Respek on my name', should have been nominated for Best Rap Single. Tekno feels he has outgrown the Next Rated category having been in the game for a while, and many more reservations from artists, music followers, fans and critics. Solidstar also has expressed his displeasure over the credibility of the award nomination listing .

The Headies organisers via their Instagram page came out to clear the issue of artists not having any chance to make the list, saying that artistes' creative works may not be recognized if attention is not brought to it by the artiste and his team within the stipulated time of call of entries.
"The Headies secretariat recognizes the fact that we have to continue to educate the public and the industry about the Headies and its salient details. An artiste may not be nominated if he/she doesn’t submit materials for screening.
The Headies secretariat made a call for entry which lasted from the 1st-31st of October, this campaign was boosted with the inclusion of promotions across all media platforms to cover a wider reach across the country.
Artistes, producers and video directors may not be nominated if they did not call adequate attention to their creative works in the year under review by submitting their materials during this period. While we understand the pain of missing being appreciated over the creative materials in a calendar year, we encourage label owners, artistes and their managers to endeavour to submit their entries before the end of the call period.”
