Naijahero1: The biggest problem facing Nigeria is the corrupt INEC, National Assembly and Judiciary. These agencies do far more damaging blows to the peace and growth of Nigeria than all the terrorists groups combined. I Implore Donald Trump to assist Nigeria in reforming INEC and National Assembly so that the terrorists, drugs lords and criminals Nigerians reject at poll won't be imposed on them by INEC and the Judiciary. Nigeria is not working because INEC always thwarts the will of the people. If you support me, hit the like button. CORRECT INEC, CORRECT NIGERIA. You are imploring Donald Trump to reform INEC? Are you for real? Since DT is now alpha and omega of everything Nigeria, then why reform INEC when you could just wait for DT to finish his tenure and come and be president of Nigeria so you can finally rest! This slave mèntality some of you wear like some toga of honour is quite befuddling abeg! |
Career › Re: The Many Hurdles Of Remote Workers In Nigeria by shaqhead: 11:35pm On Jan 21 |
RemoteNaija: The OP nailed it. The biggest hurdle isn't even the job itself; it is the infrastructure (Power and Internet) and the Payment Gateways (PayPal/receiving funds).
However, once you cross that bridge, the reward of earning in FX while spending in Naira is unmatched. It is the only hedge against the current inflation. For those struggling, don't quit. The initial setup is hard, but the financial freedom on the other side is real. I was surprised the OP didn't mention the payment hurdle cos that's one headache too many! |

Samantha125: If a European or Asian school was to implement the same rules towards African students' hair, would you say rules are rules as well? You are circling back to a question I already answered! I see Rules and you picked one which doesn't mean much to every African out there-and since it does to you, I respect that. But one thing you must accept is that while rules within institutions remain they have no respect for your "this is what I like" for as long it doesn't in any way stand in the way of the purpose of you being there in the first place. So, let's dispense with that! I would say Rules are Rules and choose some other path if I don't find their rules accomodating. |

Samantha125: It will be an issue where African hair is concerned, why do we have so much self hate as Africans? I don't really care about the rest, my biggest concern is the dreadlocks rule for guys... West African men used to grow their hair prior colonization and dreadlocks are one of the best protective styles for African hair.
Can a predominantly white school forbid dreadlocks on either African or black guys without being labelled racist? How did I miss your mention on this sef? I don't really care about the restThe bolded from your submission is why those rules are set in place. Every student will have what they care about and hence chaos. This doesn't deny you your freedom but just so you know there are spheres where that might be curtailed for the common good-however that might seem! Will it suffice or please everyone, off course not, but on the whole they are set by institutions after a lot of considerations. There are countries, the Muslim hijab are banned for the common good, like you don't work in MTN and say you can't wear yellow- and yes you might hate that colour but... And hey the students will be there for a season! Rules are Rules! |

Politics › Re: We Still Pray To God For An Igbo President - Nwobodo Speaks As Peter Obi Visits by shaqhead: 8:23am On Jan 08 |
Ezeama400: Normally I shouldn’t have replied you because you have been programmed to reason in a particular way, but for the sake of readers, I have to ..
GDP is what is used to measure development, which Imo state Igbo land is 4th after Lagos, Rivers Akwa Ibom , then followed by Delta which I am proud of.. I don’t wanna use IGR which Enugu state is even number one in 2025 , because that should not be counted as development ….
Again, when it comes to migration, a data was released here around july 2025, and we all saw how you all have fled Osun Oyo for Lagos, making South west number one region in Nigeria that don’t stay in their state, only for SS and SE to be at the bottom, against the propaganda you guys have sold for ages about migration..
And finally , you are taking about land mass, don’t you know that Taraba state alone is two times bigger than that entire South West ?. But due to the fact that you have been programmed to reason in a particular way like I stated earlier , you couldn’t do your findings to find out that what defines a Nation or group is productivity and population, not a land mass.. Btw, what made you think that every Igbo man you see on nairaland is from south East ?
E no go better for person wey program Una to be reasoning this way. Niger state is the biggest state by landmass and it swallows up the entire South East. You now take a smaller state like Taraba state and say it is bigger than the entire South West? Make it make sense bro! |

What if he slumped and died from your slap, how will you explain that.
Two wrong they say, don't make a right. I agree with what you said but I have a problem with using the bolded (which is a reality but NOT the only one) to force submission. What if when the uncle hit him, the OP also slumped? Isn't that also a reality? If we are going to buy that line as the ONLY REALITY we should believe that it's only uncles that slump abi? Too much Nollywood abeg! From those who used this your "slap and slump analogy" to those who have the address of "karma", to those who have brought in the "diabolical angle"....hmmm... We can give advice without gaslighting people into obedience. Aside: whether we like it or not, the reality is that there's a generation coming that will question some things- (discomforting as they are) that some of us take in our strides out of respect for elders. Until and unless fathers and mothers, uncles and aunties become one indeed, things like what we see with OP will become common place! |

Your reaction was not mostly because he hit you at the back but what he started talking initially when he saw you. But a clear conscience, they say, fears no accusation. By the way, that aside, let's assume after you slapped him and he fell and passed away, what do you think would have happened? I expect you should be more enlightened than those kinds of people in the village. They may not be healthy enough to take such a strong slap from you. All this me I am short-tempered things omo, i don see person wei na just slap she give person the girl passed and she has been in prison for murder. Sometimes wisdom is better than power. Run, run and run. My take. It doesn't make you a coward, bro; it makes you wise. After all, if you want to show you are brave, not with your uncle. Bandits dey there. Hmm...how come this your "slap and fall" analogy isn't reversed to include the OP. Is it only "slap" that make a person fall, can't a "hit" from the uncle also do same to the OP? Just asking o |

You came to village to just run burial, few time everyone will travel and you can't control yourself no matter what, you wrong that man deeply and that's very bad of you,try and appease with him before going back to receive forgiveness from him and blessing this year from him,he too is like a father to u too,a son don't slap his father no matter what, even if he is a drunkard. PlayerMeji: Just couldn't comprehend how a lot of people are missing the point Victor was trying to prove...
The goal here is to score as many goals as possible against any opponent and at any given chance...
Shebi, it is Mozambique team that's not that good that's why it looks like the Nigerian team is good... Let them meet with better and faster players of other countries, then they will understand what Osimhen is saying.
When you have a good chance to score a goal, you shoot and score.. Now when you do not have a good chance for a goal, but your teammate is standing at a good position to score, you pass the ball to him immediately and not dribble till you pass the ball to him...
This is one point with the Spanish national team, it doesn't matter who scores, the aim is to score as many goals as possible... That's why they can win 5 to 6 goals ahead because they are more particular about the outcome than the ego of any player...
That people are bashing Osimhen today shows that Nigerians do not really have the capacity to process information and we are only about if something is working you don't need to improve on it...
Just imagine, if we were playing a team like Senegal who have had more comeback goals in this tournament than any other team, and you have a chance like that and you did not bury it...
That's when people will now come to blame Lookman for not passing to Osinmen when he should.... Your point is noted but you do NOT communicate your grouse on-field with that disrespectful attitude to fellow players! Come on, that goal isn't worth team morale! If other players don't want Osimhen to see one shot on goal not even to score, it will be difficult for him. Question is: will he put up that attitude at his club side? You know the answer. |
