The recent ceasefire and what Hamas did should suffice. Small breathing space and two of them went on rampage in Israel. Hamas don't want a ceasefire but death and the Israelis are not shy about dishing it to them and the civilians who choose to harbour them.

My suggestion would have been a humanitarian corridor but what is the guarantee that Hamas in their cowardice won't take advantage of that too.
