EducationThis Seven Keys Show You The Way To Having Good Success by sharpguy10(op): 9:15pm On Oct 15, 2021
None of us wants to fail and there are things we can do to defeat failure. Following these seven steps can lead you on your journey to success!
Do you want to be a miserable failure? Of course not! No one wants to fail, but many have not attained the level of success that they desire. Why not? Because being successful involves following a certain set of principles that many have neglected. In the following paragraphs I have outlined seven principles that were originally defined. If applied, these principles can lead you on the pathway to success.

1. Set the right goals
Before you can even begin to work toward being successful, you must set the right goal. Setting the right goal gives you direction and purpose.

Imagine that you decide to take a trip. Would it make sense to jump in your car and drive, ignoring road signs or directions? It is possible that you might discover an interesting place, but you also might drive around in circles. Would it not be much better to examine a map and consider all of your options and then develop a plan?

To reach physical and spiritual success, you must begin with the right goals. As Christians, our main goal should be to seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). After all, our main duty is to fear God and obey His laws (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

2. Education and preparation
In order to be successful, you must make needed preparations and acquire the necessary education that is required to reach your goal. For example, one of my goals is to become an elementary school teacher. Not only does this involve being knowledgeable about the material I will be teaching, but it also requires that I understand how to work with and motivate children.

Another aspect of becoming educated is to find the best sources to gather information. As we strive to become better Christians, our best source in acquiring knowledge is the Bible. Second Timothy 2:15 implies that we are to study to be approved by God. We also find several proverbs that urge us to gain wisdom and understanding (Proverbs 1:5; 9:9; 16:21-23). Wisdom can be gained by requesting counsel from those who are qualified to give advice (Proverbs 15:22).

3. Maintain health
This principle of achieving and preserving good health—physically, mentally and emotionally—is one that can easily be neglected, but it is vital. Can you be truly successful if you are continually ill? Reaching your goals will become difficult if you feel sick or tired much of the time.

Or you may reach a particular goal that you have sought, but if you are in poor health, you will not benefit as much from reaching that goal. There are those who are financially well-off but their lives are very stressful and they have severe health problems. They have indeed been successful in many ways, but unfortunately poor health is preventing them from fully enjoying it.

To reach physical and spiritual success, you must begin with the right goals.

Glorifying God in our bodies includes maintaining our health (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Achieving good health requires eating properly and getting the right amount of exercise and sleep that your body needs. Since our main goal should be to enter into God’s Kingdom, then this principle would also include maintaining our spiritual health. We can accomplish this through prayer, Bible study, meditation and occasional fasting.

4. Drive
As with your car, drive is what propels you forward so that you can achieve your goals. It is essential to have zeal and determination if you are to be successful. While pursuing your goals, it is easy to become lethargic and lose energy when you are tired or things seem to be going wrong. But we are admonished to remain diligent and work with all of our might (Ecclesiastes 9:10).

5. Endurance
To be successful at reaching your goals, you should never give up. Most of us have felt like quitting at one time or another, and unless you are steadfast, it is easy to succumb to the temptation to simply give up. But in order to experience success, you must learn to endure trials and difficulties in order to persevere.

Those who run marathon races provide a great example of endurance. Despite pain and fatigue, they push forward and, in many cases, finish what they have started. Our Christian life is compared to running a race (1 Corinthians 9:24; Hebrews 12:1). To successfully enter into God’s Kingdom, we must endure until the end (Matthew 24:13). Despite the trials and setbacks in our struggle against Satan and our human nature, we should always remember that God will always be there to see us through (Hebrews 13:5).

6. Resourcefulness
While pursuing your goals, you are sure to face obstacles. Resourcefulness, which includes imagination, creativity and inventiveness, is the principle that helps us cope with emergencies and unexpected setbacks. Successful people have usually “failed” many times, but they keep trying, using new approaches. Though they are fictional characters, superheroes are often good examples of characters that use resourcefulness. No matter what crises they face, they always manage to find a solution to their dilemmas, such as a plan of escape.

In our lives not everything is going to go as planned, and it is wise to have a “plan B” to work around unexpected obstacles. In our Christian lives we can use resourcefulness to confront the temptations of this life. Christ admonishes us to be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16).

7. Reliance on God
It is easy to become lethargic and lose energy when you are tired or things seem to be going wrong.
The last principle is the most important one of all. This seventh principle is to acknowledge God and Jesus Christ in our daily lives and to include Them in all our endeavors (Proverbs 3:6). This means praying for guidance and help in everything and trusting that God will answer in the ways that are best. We are to put God first in our lives and to love Him with all our heart, soul and might (Deuteronomy 6:5). You need to have God in the picture if you are to be truly successful. Remember that the most important goal is to be in God’s Kingdom—God’s family—and that certainly requires God’s constant guidance and help.

These seven principles show the way to true success. By following these principles, there is no need to be a miserable failure. Instead, you can be successful in this life and, more importantly, reach your awesome potential in the next life!

EducationThe Turning Point Of Your Life by sharpguy10(op): 10:21pm On Jun 29, 2021
If you’ve been trying to stay afloat in the storms of life. . .if you need encouragement for the battles you’re in. . .then. . .tonight’s teaching is just for you.

Mark 4:35-40 in the Amplified Bible says:
“35 On that same day [when] evening had come, He said to them, Let us go over to the other side [of the lake].
36 And leaving the throng, they took Him with them, [just] as He was, in the boat [in which He was sitting]. And other boats were with Him.
37 And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled.
38 But He [Himself] was in the stern [of the boat], asleep on the [leather] cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we are perishing?
39 And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness).
40 He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)?”
No matter how spiritual you are or aren’t. . .there will come a time in your life when the storm clouds will fill your horizon, darkening the view of your destination, beating your ship of state. . .making you wonder whether you will survive the winds and the rain.
If you draw a breath. . .you’re considered dangerous to the devil. . .you will face a crisis in life from time to time.
The question is not whether or not you will face a crisis but rather how you will respond to it.
But in every crisis. . .you can find opportunity.
President John F. Kennedy once said:
“When written in Chinese, the word "crisis" is composed of two characters-one represents danger, and the other represents opportunity.”
The ancient Greek word for crisis means:
“a separating, power of distinguishing, decision, choice, election, judgment, dispute” and it comes from another Greek root word meaning to:
“pick out, choose, decide, judge”
In dictionary.com the word crisis means:
“a stage in a sequence of events at which the trend of all future events, especially for better or for worse, is determined; turning point.”

Every crisis we face in life with be a turning point. . .for better or worse. The decision for better or worse. . .is ours.

In fact, Romans 8:28 in the Amplified Bible tells you everything you ever need to know about whatever crisis you will ever face. . .when it says:

“We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.”

It’s important that we understand crisis will come and go. . .just look at the changing tide of the ocean.

Psalm 34:19 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

If we’re obedient to the Word of God. . .when trouble comes. . .we have the confidence in knowing that God will deliver us out of it all.

John 16:33 in the Amplified Bible says:

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]”

I have told you these things. . .but you wouldn’t know it. . .if you weren’t reading the Word. . .spending time in His presence. . .studying to show yourself approved.

In Me you may have [perfect] peace. . .but you can’t possess what you don’t know about.

In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration. . .We have a choice.  We can have His perfect peace or we can daily deal with tribulations, trials, distress and frustration.

We will choose whether we will have perfect peace and confidence in every adversity and opportunity. . .or whether to live with tribulations, trials, distress and frustration.

Let me say it again. . .we can choose. . .you choose. . .I choose.

Tribulations (not being able to pay your bills). . .

Trials (being laid off on your job). . .

Distress (wondering how you’re going to provide for your family). . .

Frustration (feeling like nobody will help you or give you a break). . .

If life were a game show and you were offered those choices, you would say thanks, but no thanks. . . yet way too many believers are buying into TTDF (tribulations, trials, distress and frustration) every day through the choices they make.

But be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]!. . .claim these happy choices.  Make a quality decision that no matter what. . .you’re choosing the pure, the powerful and the positive from the Word of God.

For I have overcome the world. . .not only did Jesus overcome the world but He empowered us to do the same thing.

Romans 8:37 which says:

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

According to Strong’s Concordance the Greek word for conqueror is (G5245) and it means:

“to be more than a conqueror, to gain a surpassing victory.”

I noticed that conqueror comes from the root word nikaō (G3528) which is translated 24 out of 28 times as “overcome.”  So it became obvious to me that in order to become a Kingdom Conqueror we must first be a World Overcomer.

Now get ready to SHOUT!

I have deprived it of power to harm you. . .because Jesus made a show of the devil by taking the keys to death, hell and the grave.

Colossians 2:15 in the Amplified Bible says:

“[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].”

I have conquered it for you. . .because I’m the only One who can give you the victory over every crisis perpetrated by the enemy.

Psalm 34:6-10 in the New Living Translation says:

“In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; He saved me from all my troubles.   For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.  Taste and see that the Lord is good.  Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!   Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. . .and those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. “

Now here’s an exciting fact. . .every time you face a crisis. . .your faith grows.

The storms of life have a way of showing just how big our God is. . .and how He encourages and delivers us the victory. . .every time.

Here are seven keys to making every crisis a turning point that’s brighter for your future.

First, you keep on tithing and giving offerings even when your mind says you can’t afford it.

If the enemy can ever get you to believe you can’t afford to tithe or give offerings. . .he has the ability to take advantage of you.

The enemy wants you living in fear over the “appearance of lack” in your financial situation.

If the enemy can transfer fear into your mind, he immediately has the ability to take advantage over you.

If the enemy can get you to believe you can’t afford to give. . .he has the ability to take advantage of you.

If the enemy can get you confessing lack in your life. . .he has the ability to take advantage of you.

If you sow words that indicate a lack of faith in God’s provision. . .or over his ability to move in your current situation. . .then you are going to live a life of financial shortage.  Life and death are in the power of our tongue (Proverbs 18:21).

If you say, “This is all I have” or “I can’t afford to give” then you are effectively negating the promises of God. . .you are consciously or unconsciously limiting the power of God to bring financial deliverance into your life. . .and giving up your right to the financial last will and testament of our Lord.

God wants you to get your eyes on Him and His ability to create supernatural manifestation in your life. . .it’s time for you to raise your level of expectation.

Nowhere in the scripture does God tell people not to give when things are bad.  To the contrary, He told Isaac to sow in famine and hard times in Genesis. . .He told the widow woman to give her last meal to the prophet in 2 Kings. . .

He says: Give and it shall be given unto you”. . .He says that He will give bread (seed) to the sower. . .not to those who think or talk about sowing. . .but never do.

Second, you refuse to let the devil steal your peace even when you have to go against your emotions and feelings.

We now live in an agricultural society where plants, vegetables and even flowers. . .are often grown in a “hot house environment.”  The hot houses have a controlled environment where conditions are nearly perfect.

That’s not how our faith grows.

Remember, the scripture about the woman who was bent completely over?

Luke 13:10-11in the Amplified Bible says:

“Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.  And there was a woman there who for eighteen years had had an infirmity caused by a spirit (a demon of sickness). She was bent completely forward and utterly unable to straighten herself up or to look upward.”

This woman had suffered for eighteen years.  No doubt, the enemy had come to steal (her hope); kill (her dreams) and destroy (her faith) but she was still showing up at the temple.

This woman had been living in crisis mode for all these years.

I’m confident the enemy was laughing at this woman, encouraging her to denounce her faith in God and His Word.

When the enemy discovered this woman was about to meet Jesus in the synagogue he must have gotten very nervous.

Luke 13:12 in the New Living Translation says:

“When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, ‘Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!’ ”

This woman was not in the temple by accident. She was there for a divine appointment.  In the midst of her pain and the previous 18 years. . .this woman was ready to receive.

Luke 13:13 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Then He laid [His] hands on her, and instantly she was made straight, and she recognized and thanked and praised God.”

Third, keep claiming your healing even when the lying symptoms try to linger in your body.

If you want to experience healing virtue over a bad report from the doctor. . .the scripture doesn’t say you’re to focus on all the lying symptoms that are attacking your body. . .it says to put your mind on your life with God.

Sickness can be prevented by right thinking. . .also known as making the Word of God your spiritual reality.

James 5:15 says:

“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”

Personalize the verse.

James 5:15 says:

“And the prayer of faith shall save <<YourName>>, and the Lord shall raise <him/her> up; and if <YourName> has committed sins, they shall be forgiven <him/her> .”

Things are not what they seem to be; instead, they are what God’s Word says they are.

Regardless of your symptoms. . .you must know that according to Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24-b, God counts you as already healed.

The symptoms you may be experiencing are just that. . .LYING symptoms.

Here’s Isaiah 53:5 personalized.

“Surely He has borne <YourName>’s griefs (sicknesses) and carried <his/her> sorrows (pains); yet <YourName> esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for <YourName>’s transgressions, he was bruised for <his/her> iniquities; the chastisement for <his/her> peace was upon Him, and by His stripes <YourName> is healed.”

2 Peter 2:24 in the Amplified Bible says:

“He personally bore <YourName>’s sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that <YourName> might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds <YourName> have been healed.”

Jesus has already paid your sin penalty. You are God’s healed and Satan is trying to kill you. Unless you know that as fact, he will deceive you into believing you are being destroyed by that lying symptom. The Word must have preeminence over the attention you give to the symptoms.

Speak the Word to your lying symptoms.

Fourth, don’t doubt God will more than meet your needs even when your bank account is in the red.

Does it seem you’re living in the midst of a financial tsunami . . .with one nostril above the financially troubled waters?

Does it seem your checkbook balance is anemic and needs a cash transfusion?

Do not let what your eyes see determine what you believe in your heart?

Focus on Psalm 84:11 in the Amplified Bible which says:

“For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from <<Your Name>> who walks uprightly.”

God’s WORD Translation says:  “…He does not hold back any blessing…”

No matter what our current economic condition. . .the Word is clear. . .God will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly.

According to Strong’s Concordance the word good is the Hebrew word towb (H2896) and it means:

“good, pleasant, rich, agreeable, prosperous, understanding, excellent”

Interestingly enough this word towb is used seven times in Genesis 1 where the scripture says “…and God saw that it was good.”

To me, that puts a little more power behind the word good.  I mean we’re comparing a good thing with the same word used to define all the good things in creation.

No question. . .God wants to turn our poverty and lack. . .into prosperity.

Fifth, keep believing your household will be saved even in the darkest hours and most trying days.

Please get this next statement. . .down in your spirit. . .not only does God want you saved. . .but He wants those you love saved.

2 Peter 3:9 in the New International Version says:

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

When this verse says “. . .not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”  The Greek word for all pas (G3956) that is used in John 3:16.  All means everyone.

The New International Version of 2 Peter 3:9 says:

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

If you look at the bottom of the page in your Bible. . .you will see there are no exceptions to this verse.

Take comfort in knowing God wants everyone in your family saved.

Sixth, keep claiming the promises of God for your life when it seems everything is falling apart.

Nothing has happened on planet earth that hasn’t happened before.  The difference is … it may not have happened to you.  People overcome and people succumb to the pressure.  The difference between the two is what they chose to believe.

Our signature scripture this year is from Mark 9:23 in God’s Word Translation:

Jesus said to him, "As far as possibilities go, everything is possible for the person who believes."

But sometimes we have to offer the sacrifice of praise.  That means even when praising is the last thing we want to do!

It’s difficult because emotionally we are so far down in the dumps that when we read the Word of God it seems to fail to reach us …BUT keep praising!  The Word works.

Hebrews 13:15-16 says:

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

“But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

Our emotions will be tried because the Word is not based on emotions, it is based on His truth.  Truth trumps emotions … every time!

Psalm 7:9 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the [uncompromisingly] righteous [those upright and in harmony with You]; for You, Who try the hearts and emotions and thinking powers, are a righteous God.”

Seventh, you know that where you’re at is not where you’re going to stay … no matter how things look.

When it comes to your finances you’ve got to know where you’re at. . .because it does make a HUGE difference on where you will go.

When it comes to your money. . .if you don’t know where you’re at. . .then you’ll never know where you’re going!  And you most certainly will never arrive.  In fact, you’ll end up on the side of the road . . . financial road kill. . .a casualty to someone else’s get-your-wealth plan.

Proverbs 27:23

“Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.”

In the Old Testament, wealth was often measured by the size of a person’s flock or herd.  It was critical for a person to know not only the location of every animal but also its physical condition.

2 Samuel 12:2 says:

“The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds.”

A careful reading of the reference to “herds” will reveal that often livestock was valued above gold and silver.

Genesis 24:35 says:

“And the LORD hath blessed my master [Abraham] greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.”

Notice that in describing Abraham’s wealth. . .the first thing Eliezer listed was “flocks and herds.”

In the agrarian society that dominated the Old Testament world. . .the state of your flocks and herds was the key to multiplying your wealth.

In Deuteronomy 8:13 we can see where once again the mention of livestock comes before silver and gold when the scripture talks about wealth increase.

“And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied.”

The location and state of a person’s flocks was critical to wealth increase.  In other words, they had to know … where they were financially.

Proverbs 27:23 says:

“Know well the condition of your flocks, And pay attention to your herds;”

Now it’s time for you to get out your checkbook and all your bills.  You need to know the state of your “flocks & herds” . . . what you have at the moment.

Any increase in wealth begins with an honest assessment of what you’ve got and where you’re at.

God doesn’t want you down and out … or we wouldn’t have been able to list so many scriptures that tell you how to get Up, Right & In!  But don’t delay. Begin putting them to work today.

The Lord didn’t make you a quitter…you were made in His image and He will show you and help you do it.

Thank you for reading God bless you richly.
Education7 Reason Why Poverty Is A Big Trouble You Have To Destroy Out Of Your Life by sharpguy10(op): 10:09pm On Jun 22, 2021
Over the years, I’ve heard a number of people say that poverty is holy.

These people have given poverty a spiritual badge of honor. They said that prosperity is evil. . .which, by the way, is an unscriptural statement since God delights in the prosperity of His children.

Psalm 35:27 says:

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

Despite this and other scriptures to the contrary. . .there are some who have made poverty an acceptable lifestyle.

It’s time to get the facts straight.
Poverty is the devil’s anointing.
Poverty happens inside you before it ever happens around you.
Poverty will not keep you out of heaven but it may keep others out.
Poverty is a dream destroyer.
There is something worse than poverty. . .it’s the reason behind poverty ... It's called poor thinking.
A poverty mentality will hold a person hostage to the belief that there’s no other choice. . .no way out and that is a totally unscriptural philosophy.
Luke 1:37 in the Amplified Bible says:
“For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.”
Being poor is a choice. . .anywhere in the world but especially if you live in the United States.
A person or family may not have chosen to live in poverty but they definitely accepted their situation and have chosen to stay there.
For too long too many Christians have believed the devil’s lie.
Satan says some people are destined to be poor, and some people are destined to be rich, and there’s nothing anyone can do about either circumstance.
This satanic lie has crippled God’s people for a long time! It is time to learn the truth.
There are three main reasons we know this destructive statement is a lie:
First, It is a lie because God is not a respecter of persons.
Acts 10:34 says:
“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.”
God did not predetermine who would be rich and who would be poor. He simply created His spiritual laws, and freely gave them to everyone.
Every person has a choice – to implement the laws of poverty, or to implement God’s spiritual laws of prosperity.
Second, It is a lie because God’s desire is that you prosper. This truth is plainly stated in 3 John 2 which says:
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
Prosperity, not poverty, is God’s intention for your life.
Third, It is a lie because God has given you the power to get wealth.
Deuteronomy 8:18 says:
“But thou shalt remember the lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
God would not give you the power to get wealth if He did not intend for you to use that power and become wealthy!
The decision to live in poverty or prosperity is yours. God has already cast His vote. He wants you to be prosperous.
Make your life-changing decisions today to reject the destructive laws of poverty and accept your God-given rights under God’s law of abundance.
Poverty should carry a warning label.
CAUTION: Poverty is dangerous to your financial well-being and physical health.
Poverty is a disease. . .as it makes you ill at ease.
And according to the word of God poverty is trouble. . .an affliction.
1 Chronicles 22:14 says:
“Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the Lord an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.”
The Hebrew word fortrouble is `oniy (H6040) and it is defined as:
“affliction, poverty, misery”
“Now, behold, in my poverty I have prepared. . .”
When it wasn’t convenient for me. . .I gave significantly into building the kingdom of God.
The same Hebrew word appears in Exodus 3:17 which says:
“And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.”
The verse could actually read like this.
“And I have said, I will bring you up out of the poverty of Egypt. . .unto a land flowing with milk and honey.”
One more scripture. . .Job 36:15 says:
“He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.”
The Hebrew word forpoor is `aniy (H6041) and it means:
“poor, afflicted, humble, wretched, needy”
I think it’s pretty clear. . .scripturally speaking. . .that poverty is not holy.
Deuteronomy 15:4-5 in the Amplified Bible says:
“But there will be no poor among you, for the Lord will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance to possess, If only you carefully listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to do watchfully all these commandments which I command you this day.”
Let me get this straight. . .
First, there will be NO poor among you.
Second, the Lord will bless you.
Third, God is giving you an inheritance to possess.
Fourth, If only. . .
Fifth, you listen to His voice.
Sixth, do all His commandments
Seventh, which he will give you this day.
I’d say that’s seven pretty powerful things about Deuteronomy 15:4-5.
Some people cite Mark 10:21 as to why you and I should be poor. . .or living in lack. The verse says:
“And Jesus, looking upon him, loved him, and He said to him, You lack one thing; go and sell all you have and give [the money] to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come [and] accompany Me [walking the same road that I walk].”
By the way. . .notice Jesus said give it to the poor.
Giving should always be a choice and never a function of a government to redistribute your money to others. The only redistribution of wealth in the Bible is found in Matthew 25. . .the parable of the talents. But alas, that’s another teaching.
When you consider Mark 10:21. . .you should also consider Ephesians 6:8 which says:
“Knowing that for whatever good anyone does, he will receive his reward from the Lord, whether he is slave or free.”
When you do something for anyone else. . .you will be rewarded. . .not by the person(s) you blessed but by the Lord.
Now I can get excited about the Lord doing for me. . .what I’ve done for others.
When you’re poor. . .you’re not really doing anything for others. . .you can’t afford to.
As I was writing this teaching I came across an old Chinese Proverb which says:
“When you are poor, neighbors close by will not come; once you become rich, you'll be surprised by visits from (alleged) relatives afar”
It reminded me of Ecclesiastes 9:15 in The Living Bible which says:
“Then I realized that though wisdom is better than strength, nevertheless, if the wise man is poor, he will be despised, and what he says will not be appreciated.”
Here are seven reasons poverty is nothing but trouble.
1. Being poor is not God’s will for your life.
3 John 2 says:
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
Psalm 23:1 in the Amplified Bible says:
“THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.”
2 Chronicles 26:5 says:
“. . .as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.”
2. Being poor doesn’t make you holy.
Being poor doesn’t make you holy any more than being rich makes you a saint. It’s the condition of a person’s heart not the balance in their checkbook that determines whether or not someone is holy.
Proverbs 21:17 in the New Living Translation says:
“Those who love pleasure become poor; those who love wine and luxury will never be rich.”
Being poor doesn’t make you holy any more than going to Arby’s makes you a roast beef sandwich.
Poverty is not be equated with holiness or righteousness.
Leviticus 20:7 in the Message Bible says:
"Set yourselves apart for a holy life. Live a holy life, because I am God, your God. Do what I tell you; live the way I tell you. I am the God who makes you holy.”
3. Being poor doesn’t make you a more effective person.
I heard someone say that a poor person has more time to do things effectively. The basic premise of such a statement is totally incorrect. . .if a poor person could do things more effectively. . .they wouldn’t still be poor.
People who work hard become rich. Did I make that up? Nope, it’s in the Word.

Proverbs 10:4 in the New Living Translation says:

“Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich.”

However, if you don’t work hard. . .if you just sit back. . .you will suffer the economic consequences.

Proverbs 24:33-34 in the Message Bible says:

"A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next? Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, with poverty as your permanent houseguest!"

4. Being proud of being poor is selfish and self righteous.

I will always remember the man who with great pride told me that all he needed was enough money for himself and his family. I asked if he was serious about that statement and he emphatically said, “Yes.” I proceeded to tell him that was the most selfish and unscriptural attitude that I’d heard in a long time.

I reminded him that the scripture tells us that we’re to care for the widows and orphans.

James 1:27 says:

“Religion that pleases God the Father must be pure and spotless. You must help needy orphans and widows and not let this world make you evil.”

How can you care for the orphans and widows if you’re so broke you can’t pick up all the pieces?

5. Being poor isn’t permanent if you don’t want it to be.

I have often said that there is something much worse than being poor. . .it’s to have a poor attitude.

Being poor is a temporary state. . .poor thinking is an attitude that oftentimes has been years in the making. . .thus filling your sub-conscious mind (your mental hard drive) with lots of negative and self-limiting thoughts. BUT GOD can change the way you think.

Romans 12:2 in the New Living Translation says:

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

6. Being poor is expensive.

People who are poor are victimized on several levels. It costs money to be poor.

Most banks are moving out of inner city neighborhoods and check cashing services are moving in. These services are designed to exploit poor people with high interest rates. Poor people seldom have checking accounts. They pay their bills with money orders which cost more than a good checking account when it’s done month after month.

Sadly, there are people who are taking financial advantage of the poor and scripturally speaking that in itself is not a very smart thing to do.

Amos 8:4-6 in the Message Bible:

“Listen to this, you who walk all over the weak, you who treat poor people as less than nothing, Who say, "When's my next paycheck coming so I can go out and live it up?

How long till the weekend when I can go out and have a good time?" Who give little and take much, and never do an honest day's work. You exploit the poor, using them—and then, when they're used up, you discard them.”

7. Being poor is a magnet.

Without question, your financial attitude will draw to you. . .people who feel the way you do. You are either blessed or cursed by your associations.

Proverbs 13:20 in the Message Bible says:

“Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.”

People with negative and/or sinful behavior will try to bring you down to their level. . .they will never naturally seek to rise to your level.

1 Corinthians 15:33 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.”

By bringing you down. . .it’s the only way they can feel good about themselves.

Proverbs 19:4 in the New Living Translation says:

“Wealth makes many “friends”; poverty drives them all away.”

If God’s Word commanded us to be poor, we would obey. But God’s Word does not advocate poverty!

Ephesians 1:18 says:

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.”

The Greek word translated riches in this verse is ploutos. It is from a root word that means to “fill.” Its literal meaning is “money, possessions.”

Figuratively it refers to “abundance, riches, valuable bestowment.”

Our inheritance as sons and daughters of the King of kings is a life free from want and poverty.

Poverty is not godly, and it certainly isn’t biblical. God wants us to open our eyes to see the invisible world—to see the blessings He has in store for all those who love Him.

God intends for you to have all your needs supplied according to His riches in glory.

Not only that. . .we’ve just proven. . .scripturally. . .that poverty is nothing but trouble.

If are the one that don't get result in life, if you are the one always loss breakthrough and if you are the one that want to always be winning, this post is for you. I title this post as THE POWER OF AN EXPECTED END.
The Bible says surely there is an end and the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off.
Result in life is always manifested. And this result can be for your winning or losing. Every result you see in your life is from you. The enemy has no power over the results you want until you give them permission through doubt and fear. The reason why most people don't get what they want after they pray is because of what they expect from it.
What you expect is what you get. The enemy know this truth, that is why whenever a breakthrough is coming, they always try to distract you or confuse you so that you will not be able to maintain your focus on the expectation of your desire.
So if you want to keep winning in life, you must learn to maintain your expectation in any issue of your life. In the Bible verse above, it shows us what God has desire for us in any situation. Surely there is an end, no matter what you are going through, God has given you an assurance that there is an end to it. And the expectation of you the righteous shall not be cut off. Because He has win for you already in the situation. So begin right now to revisit whatever you desire before and say to it, I am winning over you, my expectation is to have you and that is my choice. I am a Victor in Christ Jesus and I am dominating everywhere.
Stand in faith and put on the consciousness and faith of God in you and let go of worry and let the imagination of the end of your expectations fill your heart and soul and feel the manifestation of the desire fulfilled.
Education7 Powerful Strategies To Defeat Your Goliath: Use This by sharpguy10(op): 10:29pm On Jan 17, 2021
Are you facing any giants today?
How do your giant(s) compare with Goliath?
1 Samuel 17:4 says:
“And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.”
Based on the King James Version of the Bible six cubits and a span would make Goliath over nine feet tall. However, if you believe the Jewish historian Josephus was four cubits and a span or roughly six feet six inches tall.
When you consider the average height of a man in Biblical times was five feet three inches. . . Goliath was a real giant, regardless.
1 Samuel 17:5 says:
“And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.”
According to my historical research Goliath’s helmet weighed roughly 66 pounds and his brass coat weighed roughly 175 pounds. Can you imagine your 6’6” neighbor carrying a 175- pound backpack and wearing a 66-pound Yankees hat?
1 Samuel 17:7 says:
“And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.”
The tip of Goliath’s spear. . .not the entire spear. . .but just the tip weighed approximately 20 pounds. Pick up a 20-pound bag of potatoes and imagine that weight on the end of a lengthy spear!
Without question, Goliath was a fierce-looking, trash-talking, massive killing machine who struck terror in the hearts of his opponents.
Have you faced any Goliaths today?
I’m not talking about natural Goliaths.
Is living from paycheck to paycheck. . .barely making ends meet . . . the giant in your life?
Is being unemployed or under-employed. . .the giant in your life?
Is having one of your children addicted to drugs or on drinking binges. . .a giant in your life?
Is having an unfaithful spouse. . .either in word or deed. . .the giant in your life?
Everyone has some type of giant in their life. The one obstacle that seems overwhelming at least in the natural.
So how do you deal with your giants?
What was David’s first response when he saw and heard Goliath insult Israel and their great God, Jehovah?
Believe it or not. . .the scripture seems to imply that his was the typical response. He ran out of fear. . .along with the rest of the soldiers of Israel.
1 Samuel 17:24 says:
“And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.”
Notice the verse says. . . “all” the men of Israel fled so that must have included David who ran with them . . .fearful for their lives.
But then something happened to change David’s mind. . .he had a defining moment based on new information and bold motivation.
1 Samuel 17:25 says:
“And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.”
David discovered that the person who killed Goliath would receive a reward. He would be given three things:
First, not just riches but “great riches.”
Second, he would be given the hand of the King’s beautiful daughter in marriage thus making him a member of the King’s family and giving him entrance into the King’s court.
Third, his father and family would have their homes free from payments and taxes.
Upon learning of the reward. . .David made a profound statement in 1 Samuel 17:26 when he said: “for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”
David received the right motivation for him. . . something that stirred him to action. What is your motivation?
Here are seven keys to slaying the giants in your life.

1. Show up for the battle ready to fight.
Sometimes you don’t get to pick the place or the time. . .but it’s wisdom to always be ready for the fight.
Back in the day the older folks called it being ‘prayed-up.’ Don’t know what the lingo is today but a good definition is that you don’t use God’s Word as a spare tire to be brought out when you run into trouble. On the contrary, you are to daily renew and strengthen your relationship with Him so when trouble comes, you don’t have to wonder if God’s around to help.
First, you might have to take the fight to the enemy.
1 Samuel 17:34-35 says:
“And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.”
David didn’t just defeat the lion and the bear. The scripture says David went after them when they stole what belonged to him.
Second, you have to expect the return of what belongs to you plus restitution.
There will be times in life when the enemy takes what belongs to you. He will steal your income, your home, a family member, your time or health. You must be aggressive in going after what the enemy has taken.
Proverbs 6:31 says:
“But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.”
Third, you must be ready for battle in season and out of season.
2 Timothy 4:2 in the Amplified Bible says:
“Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching.”
Finally, remember you will never win a battle you don’t show up for.

2. Don’t run from the battle.
Did it surprise you earlier in this teaching when I showed you in scripture that David ran from Goliath like all the soldiers in the Army of Israel?
1 Samuel 17:24 says:
“And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.”
Let’s face the facts of life. Troubles often come up when you least expect it.
A parent gets sick. Your house gets flooded when a pipe bursts. You lose your job due to Covid-19. It can feel overwhelming at first.
Ignoring a problem will never make it go away or lessen the intensity of the battle you’re facing.
Running in the midst of a fire fight with the devil will either make you a prisoner or a casualty but never a victor.
If someone or something is causing you a problem. . .it’s better to face the consequences.
Someone once said, if you want to be the leader of the band . . . you must be willing to face the music.
When you’re in the midst of a battle and someone yells “incoming” it’s important to know who’s in the foxhole with you.
You don’t have to run from any battle because you always know who’s with you in your foxhole and in every adversity you’ll ever face.
Psalm 118:6 the Message Bible says:
“God's now at my side and I'm not afraid; who would dare lay a hand on me?”

3. Don’t be afraid.
If you’re facing difficult, if not seemingly impossible financial or other attacks of the enemy, you can take comfort in knowing that God is in your foxhole. He’s with you no matter where or what kind of battle you’re facing.
With God by your side. . .there is no reason to fear or ever doubt the outcome of the battle.
Zephaniah 3:15 in the Amplified Bible says:
“[For then it will be that] the Lord has taken away the judgments against you; He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, even the Lord [Himself], is in the midst of you; [and after He has come to you] you shall not experience or fear evil any more.”
There are forty-four times in the King James Version of the Bible where we’re told to “be not afraid” and there are sixty-six times in the New Living Translation where the scripture says: “don’t be afraid.”
Let’s look at four key verses of the forty-four in the King James Bible.
“. . . be not afraid of him. . .” 2 Kings 1:15
“. . . be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee. . .” Deuteronomy 20:1
“. . . Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.” 2 Chronicles 20:15
“. . . Be not afraid, only believe.” Mark 5:36
These four verses tell us to not be afraid of “him” or “them” but to “only believe.”
With God on our side. . .we have no reason to be afraid.
Hebrews 13:5-6 in the Amplified Bible says:
“So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?”
Even though God should only have to tell us something once, sometimes we need to be reminded when we’re facing the Goliath of doubt and fear.

4. Don’t worry about what other people may think.
In the final analysis, no one else can fight your battles. No one else takes your place on Judgment Day. You and you alone are accountable for what you do or don’t do.
Everyone faces shortage … sometimes money, opportunities, courage or wisdom but there’s one area where we never experience a shortage. That’s in the opinions from others on what you should or shouldn’t do. Sometimes it’s good advice and often times it’s not.
1 Samuel 17:28-30 in the New Living Translation says:
“But when David’s oldest brother, Eliab, heard David talking to the men, he was angry. “What are you doing around here anyway?” he demanded. “What about those few sheep you’re supposed to be taking care of? I know about your pride and deceit. You just want to see the battle!” “What have I done now?” David replied. “I was only asking a question!”
Why do some of your co-workers talk about you behind your back? Why do some of your friends and even family members get angry over your initiative and desire for a better quality of life?
Your success becomes a reflection of their lack of success.
Eliab was upset because neither he, his brothers or any of the other solders in the army of Israel were willing to stand up to Goliath.
Sadly, some people, instead of fessing up to their lack of success, seek to minimize who you are, what you do or are capable of doing. . .so the comparison will not reflect poorly on them.
It’s important that you understand other people’s motivation. . .for the hurtful things they may say. . .but it’s critically important that you never allow their opinion of you to determine what you do or don’t do.
In life, there may be times when you, like David, will ask “what have I done now.”
The attitude and actions of others may not be so much as to what you’re doing as to what they are not doing.
Consider the words of Colossians 3:23 in the Amplified Bible which says:
“Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men.”
Remember, it’s not so important what others think but what God thinks about what you’re doing. That is what should have your focus and attention.

5. You choose the weapons.
There are three things you should know when it comes to choosing your weapons.
First, get rid of anything that doesn’t work for you. Eliminate anything that can be weaknesses or that will restrict your movement and possibilities of success.
1 Samuel 17:38-40 in the Contemporary English Version says:
“Saul had his own military clothes and armor put on David, and he gave David a bronze helmet to wear. David strapped on a sword and tried to walk around, but he was not used to wearing those things. "I can't move with all this stuff on," David said. "I'm just not used to it."
While King Saul’s armor didn’t weigh as much as Goliath’s it’s generally agreed by historians that his armor weighed between one and two hundred pounds. If you’ve never been used to wearing that much gear. . .it would be a heavy unmanageable load.
In the marketplace. . .remember that just because somebody else does something, it may not work the same way for you.
Second, keep looking until you find something that will work for you. Play to your strengths.
1 Samuel 17:40 in the Contemporary English Version says:
“David took off the armor and picked up his shepherd's stick. He went out to a stream and picked up five smooth rocks and put them in his leather bag. Then with his sling in his hand, he went straight toward Goliath.”
David’s weapons of choice wouldn’t work for anybody else but him. . .but that’s okay because he was the only one headed to the field of battle.
Third, you already have weapons that can defeat every foe.
2 Corinthians 10:4 in the Amplified Bible says:
“For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.”
You have weapons at your disposal which are undefeatable in every battle you will ever face.
The Message Bible translation of 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 gives an even clearer picture of your arsenal and the purpose of your warfare.
“The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.”
I strongly suggest that you take a few minutes to study that verse again.

6. Understand the rewards of winning.
No mistake about it, the battles you’re facing are for territory . . . for the rewards God has promised you.
1 Samuel 17:25 says:
“And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.”
David discovered that the person who killed Goliath would be given three rewards that appealed to him personally:
First, the warrior would receive “great riches.” God also has a benefit delivery system designed for every person who ever drew a breath on planet earth. He desires for you to be rich because He gave you the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18.)
Don’t think for a moment that the enemy doesn’t want you broke, busted and disgusted. Once you realize who’s fighting against you. . .and the weapons available to you. . .you can begin your active pursuit of the prosperity God has for you. And that would give Him more pleasure than realizing and manifesting what He intended for you to have (Psalm 35:27).
Second, victorious warrior would receive wealth and the hand of the King’s beautiful daughter in marriage. If you want to properly court the woman of your dreams, it takes money.
You may not marry for money; however, if you have to work two jobs to make ends meet, how can you see your special girl long enough to convince her to marry you?
If you’re successful in the adversities of life, then it will be much easier for you to meet, greet, treat and wed the person of your dreams.
Third, the victorious warrior will have all their bills paid in full.
The enemy wants to keep you up to your eyeballs in debt, strung out by payments and with little, if any hope, of ever becoming debt free. The enemy wants you to believe that where you are in life right now is where you’re going to stay. That’s simply not true.
The world says: “to spoils go to the victor.” When you let Him help you, when you are obedient to His word, then your financial dreams will become a reality.
Isaiah 1:19 in The Living Bible says:
“If you will only let me help you, if you will only obey my instructions, then I will make you rich.”

7. Do something with what’s in your hand.
I have a popular message entitled “7 Ways To Maximize Your Abilities” and one of the key points is to start where you are with what you’ve got.
President Theodore Roosevelt said:
“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”
You should always start where you are with what you’ve got at the moment.
David chose five smooth stones; he didn’t choose someone else’s weapons, he chose what he knew would work for him. David then activated what he knew would empower him.
2 Timothy 1:14 in The Living Bible says:
“Guard well the splendid, God-given ability you received as a gift from the Holy Spirit who lives within you.”

Let’s review.
God gave you, yes you, abilities. . .use them.
God empowered you with abilities through the Holy Spirit . . . celebrate them.

EducationIf You Know This Truth Your Life Will Never Be The Same Again by sharpguy10(op): 1:01am On Jan 04, 2021
Hi guys in this post I will be sharing with you a post I title " Becoming a light".
In the book of Matthew 5:14 the Bible says you are the light of the world, a city set on a high cannot be hidden. You and I is redeem and recreated to be a light in the light in the world.
What is Jesus saying about this light;
1. Light is prosperity
2. Light is creating awareness.
3. Light is provoking a reaction anywhere you go.
4. Light is breaking through on every side

So as a born again child of God, you are to be different and be the head everywhere you go. You are to be a reflection of your God through which those around you will know God is good, rich and glorious. This are some of the reasons you need to become a light. Because you become it, life will look sweet and worth living for you.
Since you are born again (born from above), for you to become light, you have know God's ways and who Jesus is and who you are now. Below are some of the ways you become a light in the world.
1. By looking unto Jesus: looking unto Jesus make you a light. When you look at Him, you become like Him that God has already made you to be in this world. He is the expression of you and the perfection of your life. By looking unto Him, you see the finish work He has already done for you and the sin He remove from your life. There is no other person you can look like to become a light in the world but Jesus. He is the source of your light that will give you light to shine in the world.
2. By mirroring yourself in the word of God: Some months ago, I started this key that I am sharing with you now. As I begin to see myself in the world, I see myself and everything around me begin to make sense. The word is your mirror that reveal to you who you are, what you have and what you can do. As you mirror yourself in the word, you are transform into light just like Jesus. And also as you look and feed yourself in the word, you will see yourself turning into the image of your true self created in Christ Jesus.
3. Focus on your true self: now that you have discover your true self in Christ through the word, you need to focus on it so that you can see the light of who you really are. You need to focus, because where you focus power flow there. You need to be fully awake in the reality of what you see you are in the word about your true self. Whatever that God reveal to you about yourself is permanent.
4. Let your heart and soul be in prosperity and what is good: proverb said Iron sharpeneth Iron. You cannot call yourself a success or light and start walking and living with darkness or people lower than your standard. And you cannot be a light and be admiring what is bad that cannot be found in Christ. You need to focus on light to keep experiencing light in your life. As a born again child of God, you are on a mission. A Mission of manifesting your God on Earth and heaven on Earth. So that those around you and those who see you, will know who God is. You eye, heart and soul need to be on prosperity, result and what is good, so that the light of God in you can awake and shine in your life. If you observe yourself, sometime you will see that when you see from your eye a negative thing, your mind is unable to interprete it, why because is not part of your being.
So be in the light so that you can be a witness of the light in you on Earth here. With those keys I share with you, if you practice them your light in life will never go down.
Thanks for reading and God bless you abundantly Amen.

EducationHow To Completely Have A successful Mindset by sharpguy10(op): 8:22pm On Dec 27, 2020
Our goal is to always be a learner. We want to receive something from everything we read.

We take notes on what we’ve read that we feel God wants us to make applicable to our lives or often share with others like you.

Your mindset is simply a collection of the dominant thoughts in your life.

Proverbs 4:23 in the New Century Version says:

"Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life."

If you want to be successful. . .spiritually and professionally. . .you need to learn how to collect, assimilate, activate and utilize the dominant thoughts in your life.

And we might add . . . keep your dominant thoughts the pure, the powerful and the positive from the Word of God.

Here are seven ways to develop a successful mindset. They’re not the only ways but they are the seven I felt stirred to share with you in this teaching.

1. Divine Direction

You can listen to all the financial authorities our society is celebrating at the moment . . .but if we want our success to be lasting. . .we need to seek divine direction about our ideas, our plan and the ultimate journey to our destiny from the ageless source who knows us better than we know ourselves.

Proverbs 3:5-6 in the Message Bible says:

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.”

There are times when every believer doesn’t know what to do or which way to go, but there is NEVER an acceptable excuse for thinking you can’t find out.

If you try to figure things out on your own . . .to solve your problems by yourself then you don’t need God.

Simply said, only one of you will be working on and through the problem, situation or attack. . .that’s either you or Him.

As the verse says, you must “. . .listen for God’s voice in everything you do. . .”

The reason you listen for His voice is because He’s the one who will “. . .keep you on track.”

One more encouragement is found in Isaiah 48:17 says:

“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”

Not only should you quit worrying and listen for His voice. . .but realize He’s the only One who will teach you to be successful in everything your hands find to do.

According to Strong’s Concordance the word profit is the Hebrew word ya`al (H3276) which means to: “gain, benefit, profit.”

Child of God, be encouraged when you follow His divine direction. He will sustain you through every attack and even cause you to “gain, benefit and profit” from the attacks of the enemy.

But the key is to follow His direction. The words of Isaiah 48:17 in the Message Bible say it even more clearly:

“I am God, your God, who teaches you how to live right and well. I show you what to do, where to go.”

2. Develop Knowledge

I’m great with numbers.

I can tell you almost exactly the number of people in a crowded room or auditorium with just a glance. I can count cash in my head with amazing accuracy. I can look at a large stack of mail and tell you right at the exact number of pieces even when the count is larger than 50.

Having said that. . .I never made great grades in Algebra, Trigonometry or Calculus for two reasons.

First, I never saw the need. . .meaning under no scenario could I figure why I needed to master these mathematic courses.

Second, and most importantly, my lack of motivation caused me to never fully understand the concepts.

Get ready for this next statement.

It’s impossible to succeed at something you don’t understand.

Knowledge allows you to navigate the future while avoiding pitfalls, sinkholes and minefields.

It’s been said that “knowledge is power.” If that’s true and I believe it is. . .then a lack of knowledge diminishes the power over your own destiny.

The Word confirms that knowledge is power in two amazing verses.

Proverbs 8:14 in the Amplified Bible says:

“I have counsel and sound knowledge, I have understanding, I have might and power.”

When you know what you need to know. . .you know you’ve got what it takes to succeed.

Proverbs 24:5 in the Message Bible says:

“A strong man knows how to use his strength, but a person with knowledge is even more powerful.”

3. Develop Confidence

If you’re not confident in your knowledge, attitude and abilities then you will become complacent in your efforts.

Psalm 71:5 in the Amplified Bible says:

“For You are my hope; O Lord God, You are my trust from my youth and the source of my confidence.”

While having others validate you, believe in you or have confidence in you is important, it’s not the deal breaker in life. Once you have faith. . .then you can get confidence.

That is why no Christian should fail because of a lack of confidence.

Ephesians 3:12 in the Amplified Bible says:

“In Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).”

When your confidence is born in faith. . .it gives you a boldness in knowing that you can achieve anything . . . regardless of the obstacles because God is on your side.

1 John 5:4 says:

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:”

To know His will … we have to know His Word. Then our faith creates confidence which births boldness which produces happiness.

2 Corinthians 7:16 in the New Living Translation says:

“I am very happy now because I have complete confidence in you.”

When you’re confident in who you are, what you know and what you’re doing. . .it shows.

Your confidence will be contagious to those around you. . .giving you uncommon favor in everything your hands find to do.

Here is a statement we want you to get deep inside of you.

Fear flees when confidence in God’s Word shows up.

Psalm 86:7 in the Message Bible says:

“Every time I'm in trouble I call on you, confident that you'll answer.”

1 John 5:15 in the Message Bible says:

“And if we're confident that he's listening, we know that what we've asked for is as good as ours. “

4. Develop Motivation

What gets you going in the morning?

. . .an alarm clock?

. . .the words “it’s time to get up” spoken softly at first but increasing in volume with each passing tick of the clock?

. . .the smell of coffee wafting from the kitchen where it perked at its appointed time.

For me, it’s none of the above.

From the moment my eyes open. . .I’m ready to glorify God, terrify the devil and maximize the opportunities set before.

Am I this way because I’m in ministry. . .nope, I’m been that way since the 10th grade.

I remember sitting in an Algebra II class. . .when I wrote out the 19 things I needed to do to be the youngest United States Senator ever elected from North Carolina. I spent time in the class planning my future instead of learning something that would never impact that future. Said with due respect to all math geeks and teachers everywhere. That kind of math has its place but I knew it wasn’t in my life.

My motivation was my future. Where did my dreams come from. . .our Heavenly Father.

The word motivation is not found in any of the 12 translations of the Bible I checked but here are seven scriptures that should motivate any child of God.

First, you are a work of divine art.

Ephesians 2:10 says:

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Second, He wants to make you happy.

Psalm 37:4 says:

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

Third, He will even show you how to be happy

Psalm 37:23-24 says:

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they may stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.”

Fourth, He has given you potential that’s still unknown to you.

Ephesians 3:20 says:

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

Fifth, you may not understand it all. . .but He will explain it to you.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Sixth, your focus needs to be on others.

Ephesians 6:7 says:

“Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”

Seventh, He has created you without limitation.

Philippians 4:13 says:

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

I can’t think of any better motivation than the Word of God.

5. Develop A Strategic Plan- Bev

Proverbs 24:6 in God’s WORD Translation says:

“After all, with the right strategy you can wage war, and with many advisers there is victory.”

We need to remember that when we became born again, we were called to be spiritual warriors. Too many believers forget that when they are confronted by the problems of this world. God equipped you to overcome, remember?

If you weren’t in a war. . .then why would God tell you about your spiritual armour?

Ephesians 6:11 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.”

If the enemy is employing strategies and deceits. . .simply put. . .it means he’s waging war on you.

How serious is the war against you? Consider the words of Ephesians 6:13 in the Message Bible:

“This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.”

Our weapons may not be carnal. . .but his surely are.

The enemy uses seduction to get you in debt, deception to get you out of your marriage, rationalization as to why you aren’t tithing and manipulation to convince you that where you are is where you will stay. . .for the rest of your life.

But with the right strategies . . .you can defeat the enemy and become successful the way God wants you to be.

Wow…I was looking at Ephesians 6:13-18 which describes our spiritual armor when God showed me an amazing parallel in the Message Bible translation.

“Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.”

I’m going to share those parallels with you . . . because we don’t have time right now.

For this teaching just understand you need strategies if you want to defeat every attack of the enemy and win the war for your future.

6. Develop Resourcefulness

If I were to ask you if you were a resourceful person . . .many of you would say “yes.” But for some, there might be just a hesitation or even a small doubt based on past perception or performance.

I can spiritually prove that you’re resourceful even beyond your current level of expectation.

Dictionary.com defines resourceful as:

“Having inner resources; adroit or imaginative; "someone who is resourceful is capable of dealing with difficult situations.”

I must tell you that when I first read this definition . . .I got a huge smile on my face and a bubbling inner joy and knowing.

“Inner resources.”

Can you say “Holy Spirit?”

That’s right. . .the Holy Spirit is your inner resource.

There are seven things you should know about this inner resource but I’m only going to give you three in this teaching.

First, the Holy Spirit strengthens you when you’re overwhelmed by adversity.

Romans 8:26 in the Amplified Bible says:

“So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.”

Second, the Holy Spirit will never withhold knowledge and/or ability from you.

1 Corinthians 1:7 in the Amplified Bible says:

“That you are not [consciously] falling behind or lacking in any special spiritual endowment or Christian grace [ the reception of which is due to the power of divine grace operating in your souls by the Holy Spirit], while you wait and watch [constantly living in hope] for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and [His] being made visible to all.”

Third, the Holy Spirit will cause you to profit.

1 Corinthians 12:7 in the Amplified Bible says:

“But to each one is given the manifestation of the [Holy] Spirit [the evidence, the spiritual illumination of the Spirit] for good and profit.”

Your inner resources become your outward resourcefulness.

Exodus 31:3 in God’s WORD Translation says:

“I have filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God, making him highly skilled, resourceful, and knowledgeable in all trades.”

7. Develop Thankfulness

Thankfulness should be a continual expression in the life of every successful believer.

As long as we recognize the origin of our creativity and opportunities then we will continue to live without limitation.

I want you to write down how God has blessed you in the past 24 hours. . .in every area of your life. Then, I want you to praise Him for it.

“But Sister Bev, this has been a rougher than usual year, what do I have to be thankful for?”

Even though nearly everyone has experienced setbacks financial and otherwise this year, we have plenty to be thankful for. There are too many basics in life that we take for granted.

The fact that you can breathe on your own, walk on your own, feed yourself. Did you have a roof over your head last night? Those are great places to start.

“Yes, but my house was foreclosed on, what do I have to be thankful for?”

The only way to escape what you’re going through is by praising God for what you’ve got.

Colossians 2:7 in the New International Version says:

“. . . rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

Colossians 4:2 in the New International Version says:

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”

Colossians 3:15 in the Amplified Bible says:

“And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].”

The Message Bible translation of Colossians 3:15 says:

“Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.”

Our thankfulness will create fruitfulness in our lives thus ensuring our success as a born-again Child of God.

One of the greatest weapons we have it a grateful heart…not just this week or on Thanksgiving Day … but every day.

If you know you are not born again please say this short prayer:
Lord Jesus I come to you today as a sinner. I believe you died for me to be save on the cross of Calvary. Right now I accept you as my Lord and personal saviour. I receive You in my heart and I am born again to serve the living God. Thank you for saving me. Amen

For me, it’s none of the above.

Am I this way because I’m in ministry. . .nope, I’m been that way since the 10th grade.

Amen

Hi guys in this post I will be sharing with you how to put the word to work for you.
As we get ready to close out 2020, we need to get back to basics. Most Christians know it but from time to time we need to be reminded of certain biblical principles.

This most basic one is not forgetting to put the Word of God to work in your life …daily.

“What happens to so many Christians is they pray a scripture over a problem... then they leave it alone…eventually giving up when nothing happens. I feel the Holy Spirit showed me how to continually put pressure on that scripture expecting it to perform as God said it would...

Get mad at the devil... and REFUSE to let him have his way...why should he win? He likes to make you think "you're the one doing something wrong" but if you KNOW the Word works... you can literally force the enemy or circumstances to step aside! He has to obey you!

We were prompted to write seven ways to put the Word to work in your life on a daily basis.

1. Quit doing what you’ve been doing if it’s not working.

Judges 6:1 in the New International Version says:

“Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and for seven years he gave them into the hands of the Midianites.”

Again. . .the Israelites were doing the same wrong things over and over again.

Since God would forgive them. . .they would sin again. God would forgive them again . . . and they would sin again.

Your problem may not be sinning. . .but you may be doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result. Are you trying to solve your problems…or are you asking God what you need to apply from His Word that can deal with them?

The children of Israel were living in the land flowing with milk and honey. . .the Promised Land. It’s the land God promised the children of Israel and the land Joshua led them into. However, they were living in less than His best because they were not following His instructions.

Judges 6:2 in the New International Version says:

“Because the power of Midian was so oppressive, the Israelites prepared shelters for themselves in mountain clefts, caves and strongholds.”

Not only were the children of Israel not experiencing God’s best. . .they were in fact hiding in the clefts and caves to avoid their enemies.

The Israelites fell into a comfort zone and started taking things (His promises and benefits) for granted.

The Israelites were not only living in less than His best. . .they were hiding like a bunch of scared rats.

Again. . .God will forgive you again and again but you will never leave the starting gate or arrive at your divine destination. . .without following His directives.

You’ve got to change. . .before anybody or anything else changes.

Don’t spend another day living in anything less than God’s best. Do what God says and expect a breakthrough. Faithfully put the Word to work until you have what it says.

2. Realize God sees you as you can be not as you are.

Judges 6:11-12 in the New International Version says:

“And there came an Angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

“And the Angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.”

In the Amplified Bible, the Angel of the Lord calls Gideon “a mighty man of courage.” The New Living Translation calls him “a mighty hero” and a number of other translations call Gideon “a mighty warrior.”

Gideon’s first reaction was probably. . . “I’m a what?”

Gideon was from a small town and he was. . .by his own admission. . .the least of his family. . .the runt of the liter. . .if you will.

It can be assumed he was hiding where he was. . .because of his fear that the Midianites would steal the grain he was threshing for his family.

You may not be the physical runt of your family. . .but perhaps you feel like the runt mentally or spiritually.

The difficulty of most people is they judge their future by their past results. That’s a mistake. . .because it totally negates that God can completely turn your life around.

Don’t you think. . .that if God can instantly change a criminal, drug-dependent user into an on-fire preaching saint whose sins have been washed by the blood of the Lamb . . .that He can turn your life around too?

You may feel like you can’t do this or that. . .BUT GOD knows you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you.

Philippians 4:13 says:

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

I particularly like the Amplified Bible translation of Philippians 4:13 which says:

“I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].”

Now I encourage you to personalize the Amplified Bible translation.

“Your Name has strength for all things in Christ who empowers her. Your Name is ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into Your Name, who is self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency.”

Write this personalized verse out on an index card. . .or put it in your smart phone for easy and frequent referral.

This scripture proves God specializes in calling ordinary people to do extraordinary things. That’s what He did with Gideon and that’s what He’s doing with you when you begin seriously applying the Word.

When God chose Gideon. . .there was nothing heroic about him. . .in fact, in his own opinion of himself. . .he was weak and insignificant. BUT GOD saw something Gideon didn’t see.

There is a scriptural reason why God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 in the Message Bible says:

“Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don't see many of "the brightest and the best" among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn't it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these "nobodies" to expose the hollow pretensions of the "somebodies"? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That's why we have the saying, "If you're going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God."

If you’re waiting on God to change your situation. . .it might surprise you to know that God is waiting on you. Let me repeat that because I want you to let this go deep enough that you get it:

If you’re waiting on God to change your situation. . .it might surprise you to know that God is waiting on you to work and press the Word.

3. Your life begins to change when you start paying the price for that change.

Judges 6:16-18 in the Amplified Bible says:

"The Lord said to him, Surely I will be with you, and you shall smite the Midianites as one man. Gideon said to Him, If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You Who talks with me. Do not leave here, I pray You, until I return to You and bring my offering and set it before You. And He said, I will wait until you return.”

Gideon has just been called a mighty warrior and now the Angel is telling him that he will defeat the Midianites.

At this point. . .Gideon begins putting the Word to work by saying the following three things.

First, he confirms that he has found favor in the Angel’s sight.

Second, he wants a sign confirming who it is that’s talking with him.

Third, he’s taking him at his word by asking the Angel to stay until he returns with an offering.

And the Angel agrees to all three of Gideon’s requests.

When you’re facing an enemy that seems overwhelming. . .your own Midianites. . .you need to put the Word into action as well.

First, confirm God’s promises to you by confessing them straight from the Word.

Second, pray for a peace and a knowing to come over you. . .which would also bring agreement with your spouse or prayer partner.

Third, like Gideon. . .give an offering when you’ve been spoken to through the Word.

If you’ve been fighting the spiritual Midianites. . .having everything stolen from you day by day. . .never achieving the fullness of what the Word promises, it’s time to stop being pushed and fooled by an enemy who is weaker than you . . . and push back by pressing the Word.

You either believe God’s Word or you don’t. If you do, then take God at His Word until you see the victory He wants for you.

It’s time for you to take comfort in the words the Angel spoke to Gideon.

“Surely I will be with you.”

God is with you. . .all the time. . .He never leaves nor forsakes you … that’s a scriptural promise found in Hebrews 13:5.

Your future will be determined by whether you decide to put the Word to work or not. The decision to work the Word. . .is a choice you will make or fail to make.

Choose wisely.

4. Decide for yourself. . .to put God’s Word to work.

There are seven words that represent seven questions you should ask yourself.

Where, Why, Which, How, Who, What and When?

Now here are the questions.

First, where do you want to go?

If you don’t know where you want to go. . .how will you know when you get there?

Do you know your purpose in life? Do you know your assignment? Do you have identifiable goals?

If the answer is “no” to any of the three previous questions. . .here are seven keys to setting the proper mood and moment. . .to find your answers.

1. Find a quiet place.

2. Find a quiet time.

3. Turn off all electronic equipment.

4. Have something to write with and something to write on.

5. Personally, I like soothing anointed instrumental music.

6. Close your eyes and breathe deeply.

7. Begin praising God for who He is and what He’s done.

Second, why are you going there?

Once you discover where you’re going. . .you’ll most often know why you’re going there.

The why is often determined by the things we do every day.

Why do you turn off the alarm each morning instead of hitting the snooze button?

Why do you choose to eat a healthy breakfast instead of grabbing a donut?

Why do you go to work instead of staying home or playing golf or going to the spa?

Why do you choose to pay your bills on time (even if it’s just the minimum payment) instead of allowing your electricity to be turned off?

This list could go on. . .but the “why” you do certain things determines where you will go in life.

Third, which path are you taking to get there?

Your path to the future is determined most often by whom you’re listening to.

If you want your journey to be successful. . .talk with successful people

I’m always amazed at how people who never experience success in their personal and professional lives are the loudest voices when it comes to advising you on your path.

Proverbs 3:5-6 in the Message Bible says:

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.”

Your choice of path on your journey to success should be the result of what He directs you to do.

Fourth, how will you overcome any obstacles along the way?

Joshua 1:7 in the New Living Translation says:

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.”

The instructions from this verse are clear. When you press the Word by being strong in the face of obstacles. . . or courageous when it appears the current adversity is insurmountable. . .and you obey His instructions. . .you will be successful.

One more thing to remember.

The path of least resistance will lead you to a place you don’t want to be.

Fifth, who do you need to help you along the way?

Your number one mentor should always be the Holy Spirit.

Jeremiah 33:2-3 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).”

Sixth, what do you want to do when you get there?

Corrie Ten Boom, author of The Hiding Place, said:

“Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives, is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see.”

Isaiah 48:17 in the Message Bible says:

“I am God, your God, who teaches you how to live right and well. I show you what to do, where to go.”

Seventh, when do you expect to arrive there?

Create a timeline. . .which requires you to press yourself for success. . .even as you press the Word for direction, motivation and inspiration.

5. Forget the odds or how bad things look. . .God is on your side.

As you’re pressing the Word for changes you want to see manifesting in your life. . .you need to always be ready to adapt to your changing environment.

Sometimes those changes. . .may be different than you think. . .requiring more faith on your part.

Gideon and his army of 32,000 were preparing for battle against a Midianite army of 150,000 soldiers. Not the best odds. . .but Gideon probably reasoned his soldiers were more dedicated as they were fighting for their families, homes and livelihood.

But then. . .

Judges 7:2-3 says:

“And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.

“Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.”

Gideon was now down to 10,000 . . . but you know the rest of the story. . .he ended up with 300 men.

Judges 7:7-8 in the New Century Version says:

“Then the Lord said to Gideon, ‘Using the three hundred men who lapped the water, I will save you and hand Midian over to you. Let all the others go home.’ So Gideon sent the rest of Israel to their homes. But he kept three hundred men and took the jars and the trumpets of those who left.”

The men who were left were committed and brave but the point is this: if it’s just you and God … you can still come out a winner.

I think it’s fair to say that Gideon and his 300 men were standing on God’s Word.

Charles Lindbergh, the great aviator, said:

“Success is not measured by what a man accomplishes, but by the opposition he encountered and the courage with which he has maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.”

Or as Romans 8:31 says: “. . . If God be for us, who can be against us?”

6. At times, you must do the ridiculous. . .to experience the miraculous.

Now that Gideon had assembled his Delta Force or Navy Seal team. . .he didn’t issue them assault rifles or machine guns.

Judges 7:16 in the New International Version says:

“Dividing the three hundred men into three companies, he placed trumpets and empty jars in the hands of all of them, with torches inside.”

When confronted with overwhelming odds. . .seemingly insurmountable problems with no apparent way of escape. . .your best choice is to standing unflinchingly on the Word. Follow God’s instructions.

Judges 7:17 in the New International Version says:

“Watch me,” he told them. “Follow my lead. When I get to the edge of the camp, do exactly as I do.”

Leadership must always be duplicatable.

First, watch me. Don’t look at the problem . . .nor the circumstances. . .keep your eyes on me.

Second, do what I do. Don’t do what your neighbor is doing or even your best friend. Do what I do.

Judges 7:18-19 in the New International Version says:

“When I and all who are with me blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout, ‘For the Lord and for Gideon.’”

“Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands.”

Hiding the torches in the clay pots gave the 300 an element of surprise. The sound of the smashing pots amplified to the extent that it caused a panic among the Midianite troops and they began killing each other.

We’re continuing to see the benefit of putting the Word to work. . .doing what God says.

7. When you put God’s Word to work. . .God gives you revelation, directions and connections.

Isaiah 55:11 in the Amplified Bible says:

“So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

When you stand on the Word. . .you gotta know the words coming out of your mouth will not be lost, wasted, empty or without success.

The spoken Word cannot be stopped, changed, deleted, erased, short-circuited or come back empty handed. Not only that. . .the Word has the ability to make something out of nothing.

When you stand firmly on the Word. . .it will accomplish what it promised. As you put the Word to work. . .the windows of heaven will open up and pour you out a blessing that you can’t contain.

The Message Bible translation of Isaiah 55:11 says:

“So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They'll do the work I sent them to do, they'll complete the assignment I gave them.”

When you stand on the Word. . .you will empower yourself to complete your assignment on planet earth in victory.
EducationHow To Find Your Purpose In Life by sharpguy10(op): 2:59am On Nov 29, 2020
We currently live in a world with more diversity than ever before. This is a great thing because diversity means that we have more to choose from. However, more diversity also means that it is tougher to find what really fulfills us.

Here are 5 things you need to know about “finding your purpose” in life.

You don’t have to just have one. The thing about purpose or passion is that it changes throughout life. It is a false belief that you must choose one occupation and be stuck in that occupation for the rest of your life.
As cliche as it might sound, you NEED to follow what you like to do. It is as simple as that. What is an activity that you wholeheartedly enjoy doing? What is that one thing you make time to do? What is the thing that makes you lose track of time? Think. (Sidenote, if you think that what you love to do can’t provide you with a source of income, you might be surprised. Nearly everything is able to be monetized these days. It just requires figuring some stuff out.)
Most people do not have revelations granting them an understanding of what their purpose actually is. The ones who have changed the world or have succeeded and are happy with the work they do simply followed the path of their interest. These people have narrowed out the things that compel them and they follow those impulses with full confidence in their ability to come out on top. There is no software that can grant you a revelation on what your passion is either. Something like this is extremely subjective. Every single person is unique in their own separate way so save yourself some time by avoiding those passion quizzes online. This is a journey you must complete yourself.
Believe it or not, you have a unique talent. In fact, everyone living on this planet has a unique talent. It is your duty in this life to find that talent so that you can contribute to making the world better in your own unique way. By following what you love to do on the path you feel compelled to go on, you find out more and more about this talent.
By doing more of what you want to do rather than doing what you think you have to(Due to social norms etc.), bits and pieces of information get revealed to you as you go along your path. This is a tough journey not many embark on because it is full of fear and uncertainty. Which is why, only a few people in this world are able to realize their real calling. They are the brave ones who reach the light at the end of the tunnel. They understand that fear and uncertainty is the breeding ground for creativity and innovation. And most importantly, they do not let critics break their unwavering focus and spirit.
You must have faith in the universe to show you the path. Do what you love and disregard all the critics, all the negative emotions, and the all the limiting beliefs. You are meant to be great. You are meant to change the world. You are meant to live in freedom.

You have the choice of pursuing literally anything that you desire. Through this process, you find things you like and discard things you do not like. As you go farther along this journey, you gain more clarity regarding what brings you happiness and a better understanding of what your purpose is. Believe in yourself and follow your instinct.
