Governor Ibukunle Amosun approved the
new resumption date at a stakeholders’ forum held Friday, at
Ogun Television Gateway Alagbado.
The forum was attended by headteachers and principals of schools in the state.
According to the governor, the shift in date is
to allow for adequate distribution of Ebola preventive materials in schools across the state.
Due to the Ebola Virus outbreak in Nigeria, the
Federal government had postponed the resumption of schools nationwide in a bid to avoid the further spread of the epidemic.
Government had also moved the resumption

Apparently sensing an impending loss in the senseless war launched by Islamist militants Bok Haram members of the dreaded sect are believed to have started surrendering voluntarily.
Some of them submitted themselves and their
weapons to the leadership of the troops in Konduga during a further campaign at the weekend, A statement form the Defense
Headquarters indicated.
“As the heat on the terrorists continues, five
terrorists surrendered on Saturday (September 20, 2014) with all their weapons to troops at Konduga, pleading for mercy.”the statement read in parts.
Other captured terrorists who refused to surrender have also been giving useful information on the subsequent plans of
